"Why did you abandon me?"
He didn't say a word, as expected from my brother, he was always the type to hold back from saying what was on his mind. I hated that about him.
He wasn't going to tell me, no, he was far too dignified for that.
I withdrew my hand from his chin, "Stay here until those wounds heal up, and don't think of escaping, you're only going to harm yourself. You already lost the child you were carrying…" Kian was a lot of things, he was proud, unwavering and never vulnerable.
But now, seeing the broken look on his face made me rethinking the last bit.
"Hey are you okay?" I noticed him reach for his stomach, his eyes completely broken. His knees gave way, and he nearly fell face flat, fortunately I was swift to break his fall and lead him to the bed.
"Kian?" I called out but he didn't respond. The shock was just getting to him now.
