THE CALL

ALANA'S P.O.V

It was Saturday night and Jaden and I went out for a few drinks I mean he wanted to go out and I decided to tag along .

We had become friends over the few weeks we had been waiting for Black Heart to give us a call either to tell us "Congratulations you've been accepted " or " Sorry , you didn't make the list ".

Anytime there was a call from an unknown number , my heart literally beat out of my chest , I'm guessing it was same for Jaden .

But all of the calls we had received so far turned out to be false alarms .

Jaden had a few beers and I had a cocktail , I wasn't really in the mood to drink , not that I was a huge fun of drinking also .

I noticed that out of work clothes , Jaden was extremely good looking . I was starting to think I had a teeny weeny crush on him .

" Alana let's dance". Jaden asked pulling me up . "I don't dance" I pouted trying to get him to leave me but he wasn't having it .

"You can tell that to someone who hasn't met your mom who literally told me everything about you and someone who hasn't seen this " Jaden smirked evilly showing me his phone .

I was really hesitant to look at it because I didn't know what to expect on that phone .

When I finally mustered the courage to look at it , it was a video of me dancing in my room that was taken without my knowledge . From the angle I could tell it was taken from my bathroom . What in the Lord's name was he doing in there!!.

"Oh you're so dead Jaden " I began to chase him and eventually we ended up on the dance floor , I guess that was his plan all along.

"Then I'll die happy knowing that the whole world has seen your pathetic dancing skills and you'll probably stay in your room forever because of the shame which will allow me to haunt you forever and ever " He said darkly but teasingly .

"Dude you should seriously stop watching those horror movies Jaden , they're messing with your brains big time , that's even if you have one to begin with" I said smirking .

"Ouch Alana , you wound me " He cried with his hand to his heart feigning hurt .

We burst out laughing and kept on moving our bodies to the beat of the music , I was so much in the mood now. We began dancing , going down , coming up , Jaden also had some really sick moves damn the guy had skills .

When the song changed to an upbeat one we all began to jump like fish out of water . On the whole I was really happy .

After some hours in the club drinking , dancing amongst the sweaty bodies and all , we decided to go to a nearby food place to eat because I was seriously hungry .

We made sure not to drink too much as we were expecting calls from Black Heart anytime and we didn't want to blabber in a drunk state .

We went out to a nearby food place and bought some fries , burgers and ice cream and headed towards Jaden's place .

We decided to binge watch some movies and stuff ourselves with a lot of food till we dropped .

We hadn't taken any of our cars to the club so we decided to walk back instead of calling an uber .

The evening was beautiful , it was really peaceful with just a few cars around . After about forty five minutes of walking and talking about everything under the sun , we arrived at Jaden's place .

We placed the food down , went for pillows and blankets from the bedrooms made ourselves comfy and began selecting the movies .

After a lot of arguments on whether a movie was too girly for Jaden's manly self or boring or too scary we finally settled on IT chapter one and two and isn't it romantic ; I was literally in love with that movie .

And our dear foodie Jaden decided to order two boxes of pizza because apparently he wasn't satisfied with all the food he had eaten , not surprising .

"You're so much like Pennywise Alana , you both are so cruel and mean " Jaden said when we were in the middle of IT chapter two , and I must say Ben looked wow in the chapter two .

"Haha" I laughed humorlessly "And you look like the old woman (Pennywise's daughter ) sans the dangling boobs and crazy hair though . I teased and we burst out laughing .

We both liked horror movies but Jaden legit didn't have a life outside of watching them , I even think he had watched all the horror movies ever acted .

All throughout the movies Jaden just kept on bitching about how it didn't make sense that spirits could swim and operate electric gadgets .

" No she's just dumb , how couldn't she realize Ben was the one who wrote the poem for her . Bill literally told her he didn't wri......" Jaden was cut short by the loud blasting of CNCO's Llegaste tu ringing from his phone .

We both held our breaths because it was an unknown number and as it had been our custom since we walked out of our interviews when we receive unknown numbers , we held each others hands so tightly and took in deep breaths before he answered the call.

"Hello" he said nervously . " Good evening I'm Dior Snow from Black Heart and I'm glad to inform you that you've been accepted and hired as the main financial accountant of Black Heart " .............
