After Party

"God this is amazing, who would have thought shoes could hurt so bad?" Sally said taking off her heels and rubbing her feet. She sat on the end of the large bed and Ariel was next to her removing her shoes as well and smiling.

Deirdre was sitting on the sofa reclining with Alec's arm around her. Cameron and Malachi came in the door as Sally flopped backward on the bed. Ariel leaned back a bit. Cameron moved to lean over Sally and was half laying on her as he kissed her. Sally laughed and pushed at his chest.

"You all should leave for a bit I think." Cameron said with a smile. Malachi moved over to the small bar like area that they had in their room.

"What do you need, like three minutes?" Malachi commented and the others laughed.

"Five, I've upped my skills." There was another round of laughter. Malachi started tossing out bottles from the fridge that was there. All moving over to the sofas and chairs. Ariel caught the one thrown at her and she looked at it.

"I don't drink."

"You do tonight." Sally said taking her bottle and opening it. Ariel took it and stared at Sally who held her beer out and waited. Ariel sighed and tapped her bottle against Sally's and took a swig.

"That's the spirit!" Lee said moving to drink from his. Ariel really didn't care for the taste of the beer at all but she would finish this one and then be done.

"Let's do a game." Sally said getting up and going over to a drawer. Then pulling out a deck of cards. They had been talking for a while. Ariel had her second beer in her hands having been told she had to. Honestly the buzz from the first let her feel more comfortable to have a second with everyone.

"Sounds fun. What kind?" Lee asked. Sally went over and grabbed a bottle that had red colored liquid in it.

"Ring of fire first. I like that one most." Deirdre said and Sally gave a shrug.

"Explain these rules." Alec said watching. Ariel was unsure, but listened and then everyone was supplied with more drinks. Just how much had they bought?

"Enough." Was Cameron's cryptic reply when she asked and they started to play the game. They played several rounds of it. Ariel wasn't sure how many she'd had now, but she felt really good all of a sudden. Loose and not so tense, she felt like smiling a lot.

"Okay enough of that." Sally said having gotten up to grab another drink. A few called after her and she had a slightly unsteady walk as she did so.

"We'll play truth and lies."

"How do you play that?" Deirdre asked Lee who suggested it.

"Easy, you just go around and each person says something that they have done and you try to decide if they are telling the truth or lying. If you're wrong you take a shot. Or you can play that if you haven't done or can't match what they said you take a drink or shot. If you're caught lying it's double."

"Sounds good. This will be easy." Malachi said not really caring because drinking and having fun right now was relaxing. So they started the game off and went around the room. By the time they got to the third time around there was a lot of laughter and a few couldn't talk straight.

"Okay, okay. I punched an officer in the face once and then ran like hell." Lee said and half of them called him a liar. It was Malachi, Ariel and Cameron who said he wasn't.

"Yeah I remember hearing uncle talking about that." Cameron said. "You were drunk then too."

"Can't find a person if they disappear on you." Lee said. "You go Alec." Lee said.

"Wait! I need another." Deirdre replied and move to get up and go over the couch. She ended up falling over it onto the floor.

"I'm okay!" She said popping up and there was laughter again. She stumbled over and got another drink.

"I've been stabbed." Alec said and he was leaning back on the sofa in a very slouched position with a slight smile on his face. The others laughed, and shook their heads.

"Me too!" Ariel said suddenly, because she could one up him. That would make him drink double if he lied or something. She was definitely drunk.

"You have not." Sally said. "Both of you."

"Drink up you non believers." Alec said.

"Let's see the proof." Malachi said looking at Alec. "Like you've been stabbed." he said as he was leaning forward. He, like Cameron, seemed to have a permanent smile plastered on his face.

"There we go." Alec said lifting his shirt, and showing a three inch scar. "Friend tripped and bam! Nearly died."

"Yeah well I've been shot."

"So have I." Malachi said to Cameron who shoved a hand at him.

"Hey, hey." She might still be a liar, let's not forget that." Lee said pointing to Ariel who moved to stand and sway. She moved the slit in her skirt over to her upper thigh. There was a six inch scar.

"And I've been burned." She said showing her forearms. The others looked at her curiously. So she didn't share the others that she would have. She had a moment of clarity in her drunk state to stop sharing.

"From what? Where you in a war?" Alec said with a laugh.

"My turn!" Sally shouted because though she was drunk she didn't think that Ariel wanted to spill her secrets. Sally was feeling tipsy too. Still she wanted to spare her friend that.

"I can back flip." Deirdre commented.

"You can not." Cameron said.

"How about you drink if you can't back flip." Deirdre said with a smile looking at the others.

"I'll take one for the team." Malachi said. "No way in hell I'm going to break my neck pretending to do something like that in a small room."

"I can!" Sally said and got up. There was enough space for her there.

"Babe you are drunk. Don't hurt yourself."

"Sally you can, me too. We know that. The others have to drink." Deirdre said but Sally waved her off and flipped nearly hitting the bed and the nightstand. She did it but then ended up on her butt on the floor. Laughing she got up and practically fell on Cameron as she sat down.

"I can do that." Ariel answered.

"Aren't you a ball of wonder." Malachi stated. "It's the quiet ones that will get you every time."

"Amen." Alec said and there was laughter as Ariel got up.

"Ariel in that dress, sit down before you hurt yourself." Cameron demanded. Ariel rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out.

"Thanks dad." She said wobbling a little. She stood where there was the most space. When she flipped it was a lot more controlled than Sally's and she landed in the splits.

"You have nice legs." Lee said smiling. Ariel was a bit red as she sat down, Malachi reached over and slapped Lee in the back of the head.

"She does!" Ariel just sighed and took another drink. Deirdre got up and turned up the music. They were all now in a state that it was hard to focus.

"I love this song." She said and started dancing. Sally moved over to where she was and joined her.

"Just where did you learn gymnastics?" Cameron asked Ariel.

"Natasha wanted to learn, when I showed that I was better and faster. She made us quit." Ariel said with a smile. Deirdre was extremely unsteady as she danced. Alec got up to help steady her and pretty much just held onto her as she moved dancing with him. They two swaying to gether.

"More drinks!" Deirdre shouted and the others laughed.

"Like you haven't had enough." Malachi commented.

"Then you just need more." Malachi stood and moved around to the bar with a rather relaxed pace. He was feeling super chill at the moment. Like nothing mattered and it was a good feeling.

"Actually I have had a lot. But you're right, another sounds good." Cameron moved giving him a high five as he walked by.

"Come on Ariel." Sally said pulling her up. "Dance with me." She pleaded. Ariel moaned as Sally pulled her up and made her dance.

"I need a girlfriend." Lee said looking at the three women. "I feel so left out."

"Trust me, sometimes its better." Malachi said falling down into the couch next to him and popping the top on his beer.

"Ariel's free isn't she?" He said eyeing her up and taking a drink. Her hair was coming out of the style but that didn't really take away from her appeal. She was damn good looking. Lee wouldn't mind her standing next to him.

"Don't bother." Malachi commented. His gaze had gone to Ariel and he half wanted to snap at Lee for looking at her as well. It wasn't against the law, and she was available.

"Let's do another game. Truth or dare." Sally suddenly called.

"Kind of like what we were just doing." Alec said to Sally. She waved him off.

"Shut up and sit down so we can play." She demanded being pulled into a seat next to Cameron. Ariel moved and nearly fell over onto the table between the chairs if Malachi had reached up and stopped her. She just fell back next to him in the sofa.

"Guess I'm sitting here now." There was a bit of laughter and Ariel was smiling. Wow she felt good. They started to play, but it was really slow and sedate kind of play. They were more just talking, with someone throwing out a truth or dare here and there.

"I can't see straight. The room is like, like tipp'n." Sally suddenly shared laying against Cameron. "Woo, woo." She commented moving her hand. They had been going in and out of the game now. Deirdre was half passed out where she sat.

"Whas time?"

"Time is on watches." Ariel responded to Lee's comment. She started laughing at the ridiculous comment that came out of her mouth. The others laughed as well.

"Okay, I'm taking Miss Hammered back to our room." Deirdre gave a slight laugh, as Alec picked her up. He was probably the soberest of them, but that wasn't saying much. He set Deirdre down and wrapped an arm around her waist. He grabbed the back of the couch for a second to steady himself.

"You better not take advantage of my sister." Sally called waving her arm over the back of her chair toward them as they went to the door.

"He can have advanage, I likes him." Deirdre said. The others just laughed. Cameron pointed to Lee who fell over, his head against the arm of the sofa. He was out cold.

"He's a tank." Cameron said.

"Wake him?" Malachi asked looking up at the ceiling and finding it fascinating. There was a slight feeling of sliding that came to him. Did he even have the energy to stand?

"Nah, just leave him." Cameron said as Sally burrowed closer to him and sighed.

"You smell so good." She told him and he just smiled at her.

"That's a cue!" Ariel said standing up fast but falling back. She laughed and got back up holding the edge of the sofa and moving around it.

"Have a night." She gave a salute as she said this walking toward the door. Definitely not in a straight line. Malachi turned his head and looked at her. Was she even able to find her way back?

"Ariel wait. I'll take you back. Can you even see straight?" Malachi called.

"Can you?" She asked with a hiccup and giggle. She did have a point, however he got up and moved with her.

"Hope Lee doesn't wake up." Malachi said moving after Ariel who reached the door.

"He'd enjoy it. Sicko." Sally said knowing what Malachi meant. Sally leaned and kissed Cameron rather deeply.Malachi just laughed and came to where Ariel was. They went out the door and stood there for a second. Both of them were confused for a second. Which way was their rooms now?
