At the Dragon Empire, in the meeting chamber where the king and his officers\elders discuss, the floors were made with slippery tiles and sparkles, there were a total of six pillars placed at each corner of the large and spacious room covered with Golden curtains with drawings of Dragons. The high-ranking elders sat at the high table waiting for the king to come in. The huge bronze doors flung open and King Darius walked in with his two sons trailing behind him. The once loud room went quiet as if a crow had flown past them and the atmosphere changed as soon as the Dragon Bloods walked in, there was always this strange and intimidating aura when you are around a dragon blood and you do not want to feel it when they get angry, it's very suffocating.
King Darius was a muscular man, he was huge and had the aura of a bloodthirsty warrior, his blood-red hair fell on his shoulders, and a golden comb was placed at the back of his hair. His skin was pale white and his pupils were silver.
He sat at the head of the table and his sons took their seats at the first set of chairs as servants came to serve them plates and baskets of delicious fruits.
"So... why have you summoned me, it got to be something reasonable or I will smite you all," King Darius said and goosebumps appeared on the elder's skin at the authority his voice came with, shivers went down their spine and they forced themselves to say something to not appear weak under the king's mighty gaze.
"Your...Your Majesty, welcome we are glad you could make It... "
"Get straight to the point Steve." King Darius said to the kingdom's strategist, cutting him off and sparing himself the long and appreciative speech.
" My king, it's time we discuss the fate of this kingdom," Elder Reeves said looking everywhere but at the king's eyes.
"And what's wrong with the kingdom?" Crown Prince Devarn asked as he took a grape from the fruit plate placed in front of him.
"Your Highness, Queen Irene is sick, and the Dragons have started to go berserk, we can not just sit back and do nothing. King Darius, your Father needs a female child." The king's cousin, Sir Hunter said.
The King remained silent the whole time as he listened to them ranting on and on about having a dragon-blood daughter, but what could he do, there was nothing he could do about it and he hated that, he had tried but to no avail that it eventually led him to impotency, now he couldn't even impregnate a woman, he was now considered impotent.
He sat quietly, resting his elbows on the table and his hands clasped together against his nose, staring blankly at the basket of fruits placed in front of him.
"Enough !!" he finally uttered when the noises were becoming unbearable. The hall went as silent as a grave house that one could hear a pin drop, he abruptly stood up and left, slamming the huge doors shut.
"What is wrong with you, you know how much the king hates being reminded of his impotency," The second Prince Felix said in anger as he glared at Sir Hunter.
"Your Highness, please try to understand, it's about time we find a solution to this problem, it's a very huge problem that should not be taken for granted, the Gem of Dragons given to the king by Queen Irene is fading as the queen's life slowly drifts away, soon enough your father would not be able to handle the Dragons anymore." General Holden said trying to reason with them but they were just so damn stubborn and had too much faith in themselves which irked him, their ignorance could and will surely be the downfall of this mighty kingdom.
"I can tell you are panicking and confused, but let the future take care of itself. In the main time, this discussion is over." The crown prince announced as he walked towards the door.
"But your Highness, try to under..."
"He said... This discussion is over !" Prince Felix said as he instantly stood up and in the blink of an eye pointed his sword at Strategist Steve's throat, sending the words back with a gulp. The movement was so smooth and swift, they did wield swords like gods.
