THE MALE god

 CHAPTER 2

 THE MALE GOD

Walking in the streets of the 21st century, everything is different from the last century. There are no longer rickshaws, horses, or donkeys on the street. Everything is different from the 18th century. The buildings are now taller and larger, and the building has people reflecting on the glass walls. They are doing some strange dance; the women are not dressed in the kimono anymore. Some are half-dressed. A man and woman are holding hands and walking; another is kissing on the roadside in public. Is this how they now show love? I guess this generation is filled with people having fun. To be a wandering soul for centuries hasn't been easy at all. I am only doing this to give Megami a chance to live again, as I had promised her. I still haven't seen a good person to put Megami into; every person I met couldn't light up Megami's life lantern.

Standing there, looking around this strange world. I saw a little girl running to the road where cars were moving. What is she trying to do? The little girl pushed a small boy standing where the car was running. She pushed the baby from the running car and got hit instead. I felt bad immediately. I went towards the girl to help her, but I couldn't; her eyes were gently closing. Megami's lantern was red, and it immediately lit up in blue flames. I could feel her grace towards the dying child. People around her took her to a place called a hospital, and I followed suit. I believe Megami will live again. She exhibits the character of Megami, who sacrifices her life for others. She is a little over 7 years old, but she is about to lose her life.

An hour later, two people came in wailing. I believe they are her parents. A man dressed in white and two others in blue walked up to the girl's parents wearing a sad face. They announced the death of their daughter. I could see the pain written on their faces and realized that every century, when people die, their families cry, and I feel bad for them. Only mine is different; my family was happy because no one would drag the throne again. My brothers and sisters were happy. I immediately summoned Aruko and Neon.

"Yuuma, you finally got hold of a body for your Megami?' Aruko asked happily.

"Yes, I have," I replied shortly. Aruko and Neon were lost souls I found but are now living in human bodies. And they are in full possession of their new bodies.

"Let's do this," Neon said. And they walked towards the wailing couple.

Neon handed a handkerchief to the little girl's mother.

"We can heal your Hana," she said softly to the wailing mother. Hana's mother stared at her in disbelief.

"They are cultists or people trying to sell health products," Hana's father said.

"Mr. Ruyoski, you are about to lose your house because of a bank loan, and your company is going bankrupt because of the product you failed to produce. You can not only save Hana; you can save your company if you obey us." Aruko said, but he was trying to look convincing.

"Please just save Hana for me," the mother said, going down on her knees, crying, and pleading.

"Okay, we'll do anything to save Hana's life," he said without being convinced.

They signed the contract reluctantly, out of fear but believing for the sake of their dying child.

I walked into the ward and opened Megami's lantern, and her soul, like a blue flame, went into Hana's body, and she breathed again. I stared at her; she gently opened her eyes and smiled at me. She stretched her hands and touched me. I was happy Megami chose her. I walked out, and her parents came inside the room happily. I stood and watched them hugging her happily. I felt the happiness in their voice.

I felt like I had done something good, but a part of me was frightened. If only her parents knew that their Hana was no more. But I am happy that they are happy. I watched Hana's Spirit leave the ward, and I told Neon to escort her home where she could have external rest and meet her creator, the God above other gods.

Hana's parents took Megami home, and according to the contract they signed, Hana is no longer her name but Megami. They moved to the other side of the country, and I kept a house for them in Sarkar. I wanted them to be close to me so I could watch Megami grow.

I only have this century to pay back Megami for the life I took. My beautiful Megami, it is time for us to meet again. I watched Megami go to middle school and high school. She always stood out among her peers with her sophisticated and nonchalant attitude. She behaves like she is not from this world, and I know she is not from this world. She was always the center of attraction for others, and right from the 13th century to the 21st century, she is still the center of attraction. She has two friends, which I don't like. I always looked for ways to approach her, but I just couldn't. I was scared she would reject me. Until I summoned the courage to approach her,.

Megami stood on the roadside while under the rain.

"Where are you going?" I asked with a smile. She looked at me from my toes to my head and made a long sigh. I immediately covered her with my umbrella.

"I don't want to buy drugs or any insurance," she said, not smiling. How can she act like Hana's parents the first day I met them?

"I am not selling anything; I just want to give you an umbrella," I replied to her.

"Anyway, thanks for the umbrella; next time, don't snuck in girls. You dressed like a weird flasher, and you are too old to be approaching high school girls," she said calmly but sarcastically, and she left with my umbrella.

This old lady is living in a young girl's body, all thanks to me. If not, I owed her a lot, and I would have given her a knock on the head. She looks so calm but talks so sarcastic. I left the body I borrowed to talk to her since I always followed her in spirit form. I just don't want her to see my real face yet; after all, she has literally forgotten about us and our past together. I slightly bow to the man. I used his body to talk to Megami out of courtesy because I left him in the rain without an umbrella. He must be confused about the whereabouts of his umbrella. And I followed Megami since I am her Guardian Angel. Since I've been missing her a great deal, I'm glad to be following her.

The next day at Megami's school, I was thinking about how to make her pay for calling me an old man. She was walking in the mist of some school boys, and she was clearly shy since her crush was one of them. Then I had this mischievous thought: I kicked a stone that made her trip and fell on her face. She stood up and ran away, crying out of embarrassment. She must be so embarrassed right now. I laughed with joy. I made her fall again anytime she came across him. Now she avoids him whenever she sees him.

The satisfaction on my face tells me that I am petty, but I can't let her fall in love with anybody other than me. She is mine, and I can't share her love. I learned a lot of things in this century so that I could communicate with her.

Gently walking her home by the side, suddenly a bike passed her and dragged her bag. Watching her scream and cry, I got angry. I entered the body of the bike rider. And I rode back to Megami. I gave her the bag, and she smiled and said thanks. I was happy; I did that for her. I rode the bike to the police station and requested to be arrested. "Funny, right?" but I don't want Megami to go through such an experience again. She was really frightened. I left the rider's body, and he was confused. He tried to run, but the police officers held him back, and he has been the wanted bike robber for 2 years now.

Years passed with my constant protection of Megami and her constant fall whenever she met a guy she liked. So on her own, she lived solo, saying no and avoiding love. She is now in college and about to get a job. I visited her for the first time on her 21st birthday. She literally came to me on her own, and she went looking for me in the dark forest of life and death. Her subconsciousness was ready to meet me. I need to help her regain her past memories. She went to our designated home, which I created to live with her in our alternate universe. But she was frightened and left me.

I met her at the elevator after she met Aruko. I left the elevator for her since I am now in my human form, so she could have a free ride to her office to meet Neon.

After her day on her way home, she slept off on the bus, and I decided to join her in our alternate universe.

I stood watching how she was so beautiful standing and staring at her pictures. I gave her a back hug. I missed My Megami a lot...
