Antoni doesn’t speak much during the ride home, nor while they pack some bags for their impromptu vacation. It’s only once Victoria starts asking out loud what the Bianchi family could gain from this new threat does he speak.
Antoni thinks that Marcello is trying to take out the legal competition. With him basically running most of the Amato businesses, as well as now becoming a co-managing partner to a law firm, he’s Marcello’s biggest competitor.
Victoria caught on after that, realizing that if the Amato’s legal front business fell apart and their dirty dealings made known to the world, the cops could swoop in. An empty space would be left then, in both the underworld and in mainstream society. A perfect Bianchi-shaped hole.
