Chapter 19: Secret's Out

Alexa's P.O.V.

I woke up and got a shower. I walked back into the room and started getting dressed. I put on some jean shorts, a red tank top, and my combat boots. Cain rolled over and looked at me. "Why are you up so early?" "It's not that early." I looked at the clock and it read 5. "Oh I guess it is early. I just couldn't sleep I guess."

He chuckled and got up. "Well I guess I can get up too." While he got dressed I went downstairs to see if anyone else was up. I walked into the kitchen and Fiona was there eating breakfast. "Good morning Fiona." "Good morning Alexa." She looked at me. "Are you ready for today." Before I could answer Cain walked in and spoke. "Ready for what?"

Fiona turned to him. "I invited you and Alexa to come to the gym today?" I looked at Cain. "Yeah I forgot to ask. Cain, would you like to go to their gym today?" He walked over to me. "Yes, Alexa I would love to go to the gym with you." I looked over at Fiona and she was just watching us with a smile. I felt my checks start to blush.

"Well I guess we are going." "Good I will have Noah text you the address and you can just be there at around 11." I nodded. "So what do you have for breakfast." "I have cereal." "What kind?" She opened the pantry to reveal a bunch of different kinds. "I am guessing Noah still really likes cereal." She laughed. "Yup just like a kid."

I smiled remembering how much Noah used to always eat cereal when I was a kid. I walked over to the pantry and reached for the box of Frosted Flakes. Fiona put the milk on the table along with a bowl and spoon. "Cain what do you want?" He walked over to the pantry and reached for the Fruity Pebbles. I laughed.

"And what is so funny?" I smiled. "I always knew you were a little fruity." He growled at me. Fiona laughed. "Y'all act like a married couple." By the way Cain looked at me I could tell he definitely didn't not like that statement. I playfully hit Cain then sat down to eat my cereal.

Cain and I just laid in our room watching t.v. till around 10. We decided to go ahead and get ready and go to the gym. I could tell Cain was really excited. We got to the gym at 10:50. When we pulled up Fiona walked out the front door and over to us. "I am so glad you came." We got out of the SUV and walked into the gym where there were only a few people.

Fiona whistled and the people in the gym came over. "Okay everyone this is Alexa and Cain they are our guests. Introduce yourselves then get back to training." The first person to come up to us was a girl around our age. She had black hair and grey eyes. "Hello my name is Alice Lancaster." She looked me up and down then looked at Cain and smiled. She turned and walked away then a guy with blonde hair and green eyes walked up.

"Hi my name is Benjamin, but you can call me Ben." "It's very nice to meet you Ben." He walked away and then after everyone had introduced themselves they went back to training. Fiona walked up to us. "So do you want to train?" I looked at Cain and smiled. "Can we?" He chuckled at me. "If that is what you want to do." Fiona showed us to a spot in the gym where there was a white circle. Cain and I walked into the circle. "Okay don't shift till I say."

We started to circle each other. Neither one of us making the first move. While I watched Cain I could tell he had been fighting his whole life. Someone in the crowd yelled. "Are you two just going to look at each other." I growled and glanced at the crowd. Cain took that as an advantage and lunged at me.

I turned around just as his fist was about to make contact. I lunged and turned back to him. Cain laughed. "You faster than I thought." I snarled and lunged at him. I faked a punch as he was dogging it. I hit him in the ribs. He stumbled back. He looked me in my eyes and smiled. "So that's how we are going to play."

We went back and forth throwing and dodging punches for what felt like forever. I hadn't ever really got to train back home like this with some else. I was really enjoying it. Fiona yelled. "Shift" Without even thinking Cain and I both shifted at the same time. We heard a few gasps but didn't pay them any attention. This was between Cain and I and I wasn't planning on losing. I need to show this male who was in charge.

After a few more minutes. Cain had me pinned. Right when he was fixing to go for my neck I pushed him off and in the blink of an eye I had him pinned and had my teeth around his neck. After a few seconds he finally thrust his neck in submission. I got off him and looked at Fiona. She smiled then nodded towards a side room. "There are some clothes in there."

I went and changed as I was walking out Cain walked up to me still in wolf form. He looked at me then walked around me. I walked over to Fiona. She was staring at me along with everyone else. Cain came out and stood next to me. Fiona spoke. "I can't believe at first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me."

I was confused until I realized that we shifted. I looked at Cain. He put his hand on my shoulder. "It's okay. People were going to find out eventually." I nodded my head then looked back at everyone. Ben stepped forward. "If I may speak." I nodded my head. "When I was growing up my grandad was one of our elders. He knew everything about the Amory wolves." I looked at Cain.

Cain looked at me then back at Ben. "What do you mean by everything?" "I mean everything that the first Amory wolves told certain people. There are some things that most people don't know about. It was only in trusted to the elders, but he got sick and he told me everything. He wanted me to take his spot as an elder when I got older."

I smiled. "So could you teach us, because we don't know much." Ben smiled. "It would be my pleasure." I looked at Fiona. "Thank you for letting us come and train, but we are going to head back. "It's fine I will see you tonight."

When we got back to the house we walked to the front door. Ben followed us from the gym. We walked in and got something to drink and sat down in the living room. Cain and I sat there watching Ben waiting for him to start.

"Okay Ben what do you know." He took a drink then took a deep breath. "Okay so my grandad pretty much told me the story about how the Amory lycan was made. Which I am sure you both know." I nodded my head. "Well what people don't know is that you are way stronger than a normal lycan."

Cain spoke. "Yeah we already know we are stronger." I could sense a little annoyance in Cain's voice. Ben smiled. "Yes you are stronger but you could be even stronger." "Wait how could we be even stronger?"

"Well you see the first Amory lycan apparently marked her lover, and it created a bond between them and he and her both got stronger. Now the elders believe that if the Amory lycans mark each other they will be stronger, faster and have a stronger bond than the first Amory lycan and her lover." Cain looked at me then back at Ben.

"So you are saying if we mark each other then we will create a bond between us that can make us stronger." Cain spoke. "Is there anything else the bond can do." Ben's smile faded. "That's the thing we don't know what all the bond can do. My grandad believed that some of the things an Amory lycan can do must be found out on their own in order to be their strongest."

We sat there for a few seconds, nobody really saying anything. "Wait so where exactly are we supposed to mark each other?" Ben pulled down the collar of his shirt and pointed to a spot below the neck, above the collar bone and next to the shoulder on the left. "Right here."

I looked at where Ben was pointing. "Will it hurt?" Ben answered. "I would imagine it would hurt at first, but I am not for sure. We don't really know much of the actual marking process. We just know of some of the things it can do."

We talked for a little while longer, just really Ben asking us questions. After about two more hours Ben left to go home. He told us his wife might start to worry if he doesn't get home soon. Cain and I went upstairs to our room and laid down and watched t.v.

It was about 9 o'clock when I realized that I had not heard or saw Finn or Sebastian all day. I got up from the bed and started to walk out. "Hey, where are you going?" "I am just going to go and see what Finn and Sebastian are up to." Cain nodded his head then went back to watching t.v.

I walked out of the room and down the hall. I went to Finn's room first. I knocked on the door. After a few seconds Finn opened the door. "Well hey Alexa." "Hey I was just checking to see what you have been doing today." "Well I just really have been watching t.v. I went for a drive and saw some of the town." I nodded my head. "Well I am glad to see you relaxing. I will see you later."

I walked over to Sebastian's room and knocked on the door. "Come in." I opened the door and stepped in the room. I looked around the room but didn't see Sebastian. After a few seconds he walks out the bathroom in just a towel. I turn around quickly. "OH MY GOSH SEBASTIAN. WHAT THE HECK? WHY DID YOU TELL ME TO COME IN IF YOU WERE NOT DRESSED?"

"Hey don't be yelling at me. You are the one that came and knocked on my door at 9 at night." "Well I just wanted to see how your day went and what you did today." I heard him moving around. "Okay Alexa you can turn around now I have clothes on."

When I turned around he did have clothes on but only shorts. "You could at least have put a shirt on till after I left." "Well where would be the fun in that." I sighed in defeat not wanting to argue over something stupid. "Well how was your day? What did you do?"

He looked up and rubbed his chin. "Well I got up this morning and had breakfast, then went for a quick run, then came home and got a shower. I have been laying here watching t.v. for most of the day." "OH! And I helped Fiona with some stuff around the house. While you and Cain were gone, and I listened into your conversation with that other guy."

"You were listening in on our conversation. Did your father ever teach you it is rude to eavesdrop?" "Well actually he taught me how to eavesdrop." I rolled my eyes. "Yeah right I forgot who your dad is. Well have a good night." I started to leave but Sebastian called out to me. "Yeah what is it."

"Do you think my dad is looking for me?" I walked back to Sebastian. "For his own sake and yours I really hope he is not." Sebastian looked very upset at what I had said. "Don't worry I would never hurt you. You are my friend now." He looked me in the eye. "But you would hurt my dad." It wasn't a question because he already knew what the answer would be.

"Yes. If it came down to me or my pack I might hurt your dad, but hear me out I will try my hardest not to kill him or hurt him too badly." I felt so bad for what was happening. I had never even thought about how Sebastian was really feeling during all of this. I pulled Sebastian into a hug. "Don't worry everything is going to be fine."

I pulled away and said good night then went back to my room. I walked in right as Cain was getting out of the shower. "Man what is with me and walking in on guys right as they get out the shower tonight." I saw the way Cain's body slightly stiffen. "Who else have you walked in on?" I could tell he was trying not to get anger, but I just don't understand why. "Sebastian, but I turned around as soon as I realized and made him put clothes on." I decided to leave out the fact that he still didn't wear a shirt. I didn't need Cain killing him especially in Noah's house.

He walked over to his bag to get some clothes out. "Are you going to keep staring or turn around?" I felt the blush crept up on my checks. I turned around and faced the door. "Okay you can turn around now." I turned around and of course he is only wearing sweatpants. I walked over to my bag and got out some p.j.s and went and got a shower and got ready for bed.
