Chapter forty nine
A knock sounded on the door and Amelia raised her head from the monitor she had been so concentrated on.
"Come in,"
The door clicked open and Marcus stepped into her office. He was not wearing his normal uniform but was dressed in casual clothing. He seemed like he was on leave. Amelia shrugged and leaned back on her swivel chair. He had come at the right time. Exactly today that Gavin would be having a free day from work. She minimized her computer and decided to focus on him.
"Hey, Marcus. What a good day to visit," Amelia said, smiling at him. He looked quite exhausted but he still retained his soft good looks. Marcus smiled at her and took a seat directly in front of her desk.
