Shortly after loosing her uncle and her home in a tragic fire incident, Hazel Troyanda finds herself facing severe charges in the Kragon kingdom. For the next ten minutes or so, Adeline sat in the king's study, their conversation shifting from one topic to the other. He informed, or rather reminded her that after the coronation which would take place in the palace, she and Sylvan would ride around the nearing towns.

Adeline didn't find it difficult to talk to the King freely and joke around, even though she would sometimes feel his displeasure for some reason.

Later the King excused himself after a servant came to call for him and Adeline was free for the rest of the day, so she decided to read the book given to her by Katherine to feed her curiosity.

She walked back to her room and settled on the rocking chair by the fireplace. The open windows allowed a soft breeze to caress her skin and she closed her eyes with her head tilted back, just enjoying the moment. She removed the hairpins holding her hair and the soft brown locks fluttered in the wind, making Adeline feel more relaxed.
