Chapter 29

The second quidditch match of the year for Ravenclaw was against Gryffindor and Neville was the seeker for them.

Harry thoroughly enjoyed the match as he spent most of it disrupting plays made by the Gryffindor Chasers and the remaining time feinting and making him crash into the ground 3 times and on the third time the blugmdger which was cursed by Dobby proved to be too wily as it attacked him when he was on the ground due to crashing as he fell for Harry's Wronski feint and the bludger broke his hand and also his brand new Nimbus 2001 in half , the sole reason that he was selected to the team . And while this was happening, Harry caught sight of the snitch near one of the Gryffindor goalposts and raced after it and just as he reached it it took a sharp turn and raced back in the direction flew from and Harry could not perform such pinpoint turns as a human on a broom so he caught hold of a goal post with one hand and used it to swing himself around to follow the snitch and Harry performed it perfectly or else he could have torn off his arm at the speed he was going and caught the snitch.

As Harry performed his insane maneuver, the Commentator was shouting in the background, " Did you see that people? I saw it but can't believe it, what kind of demon did James and Lily Potter give birth to, because humans can't do that. That is the absolute demon in the air people, Harry Potter!"

Even McGonagall couldn't find it in herself to chastise Jordan for his language as she was still watching the match, gobsmacked at seeing Harry's insane stunt.

Jordan announced sadly, as though he were mourning, " well people, Harry Potter has caught the snitch and Ravenclaw wins 300 - 130 and this is Ravenclaw's 5th consecutive win since Harry Potter joined their team. "

Harry thoroughly enjoyed the match but he definitely didn't enjoy the tongue lashing he got from his mothers for that stunt he pulled but both James and Sirius definitely enjoyed his stunt if their discrete winks at him were any indication.

The months passed by discretely and Lockhart, the idiot organised a Duelling club and Harry attended just for fun and ended up humiliating Draco badly as the ponce had the gall to say that he would marry Harry's sister and that he should feel lucky that he had deemed to grace his Halfblood sister whose blood was polluted by his Mudblood mother's blood with his attention.

Severus Snape who had heard the words spewing from his godson's mouth and couldn't help but curse the little shit in his mind as he saw the glint in Potter's eyes and he knew that Draco was in for a world of hurt as he had many times seen that same glint in Lily's eye before she cursed the shit out of someone, and he was right as he watched Potter absolutely destroy Draco in the duel and as a result of all the spells Potter used on him Draco looked like a particularly ugly sea slug by the end of the duel, to the laughter of all the students.

Harry walked up to the downed Draco and whispered in his ear, " if I hear you insulting or threatening my family or friends again, I will make sure that the Malfoy line ends painfully, " he warned him and walked away.

And on another note, Neville was found out to be a Parselmouth as he ordered a snake conjured by his opponent to attack him, to attack the caster himself, and this led to his Ostracization by the majority of the school as they believed him to be the Heir of Slytherin.

Then came the shock of finding Hermione, Padma and Penelope being petrified during the match of Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff and Harry just sat at Padma's bedside not knowing what to do.

And around this time the idiotic minister of magic arrested Hagrid to show the public that he was doing something. How anyone could believe that the innocent and gentle half giant could deliberately harm someone was beyond Harry. And then Lucius Malfoy had Dumbledore removed from the Headmaster's post, resulting in an atmosphere of fear in Hogwarts as everyone feared about what was going to happen with Dumbledore not there to protect them.

And one fine day in March he found the message saying that the Heir had taken a girl into the Chamber of Secrets itself and to his shock it turned out to be Susan and Harry was enraged and immediately went to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom and conjured a snake and confounded it to hiss the command " open" at the sink and it dropped out of sight leaving a large tunnel going straight down. Harry jumped down the tunnel and cast a cushioning charm to soften his landing at the bottom of the slide and proceeded to walk through the tunnel leading forward and silenced his footsteps and applied a strong scent masking charm on himself to prevent the Basilisk from tracking him through his scent.

As he reached the sealed door leading into the Chamber of Secrets, Harry enlarged the mirror he always kept with him and used his wand to paint a few runes on it making it unbreakable and perfectly reflective and shrunk it and placed it in his pocket and conjured another snake in order to open the sealed passageway.

Harry entered the enormous cavern and found the semi solid shade of a 16 year old Tom Riddle

standing over Susan while twirling her wand in his fingers and didn't seem to have noticed Harry entering and Harry immediately seized his chance and disarmed him and caught Susan's wand and placed it in his mokeskin bag in his pocket as he didn't want to fight a 16 year old Lord Voldemort as he knew that he would be outclassed as he could outduel a Seventh year Hogwarts student as evidenced by the fact that Harry won every alternate duel that he and Tonks had this year but duelling Lord Voldemort as a sixth year was a completely different matter.

Tom was shocked to see himself disarmed and turned to see Harry Potter standing before him and said, " oh Harry, you shouldn't have come here, you are going to die. This was originally meant to lure that idiot Longbottom down here in his search for glory but I wouldn't mind another kill along with dear little Susan and the Boy Who Lived. Poor Susan tried to resist writing in my diary but the compulsion charm on that proved to be too strong for her. A few more minutes and I will completely absorb her life force and Lord Voldemort will return after 12 years, yes I am Lord Voldemort. Voldemort is my future. "

But Harry was prepared and immediately enlarged the mirror in his pocket to a large size and placed it in front of him and facing the opening from where the Basilisk was coming and it froze in place for a few moments on seeing the reflection of its own deadly gaze and that gave the time for Harry to remove the box of matchsticks in his pocket, transfigure all of them into large metal spikes and he levitated the spikes over the Basilisk's head and then banished them at full speed at its eyes and just as the Basilisk shook of the petrifying ability of the reflection of its eyes being used on it, it released a truly horrendous hissing as it's eyes we're ruined by the large spikes Harry had banished at it, Harry used this opportunity to climb up Salazar's statue and use his magic to further banish the spikes embedded in its eyes further into its brain killing it as it thrashed about in agony and eventually died.

Tom looked absolutely furious at seeing his Basilisk being so efficiently by a second year student of all things and said, " you little shit, you dare to kill Salazar Slytherin's Basilisk. But no matter, I have almost regained my body and you will not survive my wrath. "

Harry looked to see that indeed Riddle's body was indeed becoming more solid and decided to destroy the diary with haste and summoned a fang from the basilisk and levitated it above the book and was about to banish it into and through the diary when Tom started pleading with Harry saying, " don't do that Harry, you can join me and I will teach you magic you haven't ever dreamed about and we will rule Britain. "

Harry just smirked and said, " you lie, you lie, " and banished the tooth of the Basilisk through the Diary and it burnt a hole through the diary due to the Basilisk venomon the fang and Tom Riddle's shade wailed in agony as it was destroyed and a torrent of ink kept flowing from the pages of the Diary

Harry stunned Susan who was just waking up and then entered the chamber from which the Basilisk came out and found a small chamber at the back of a tunnel which was looked like the Basilisk's hibernation chamber and the small chamber at the end of it looked like a small study with a few books in Latin which Harry placed in his mokeskin pounch as he was not going to miss the chance to read books written by Salazar Slytherin himself.

Harry returned to the cavern and after enervating Susan, she slowly woke up and looked around groggily and as she took in the her surroundings and saw Harry she immediately hugged him tightly and broke down crying, saying " I am so sorry Harry, I tried to stop writing on that diary, but I couldn't and it made me do all sorts of horrible things, Aunt Amelia and my parents will be so ashamed of me. "

Harry gently rubbed her back and said, " shush Susan, no one is going to blame you, you were forced to do all this by Lord Voldemort himself and I will vouch for it and by the way I have got your wand. " Harry gave her back her wand and then her eyes fell on the massive snake and she shrieked and turned on Harry and hugged him tightly saying, " you utter prat, what were you thinking taking on a basilisk on your own? "

Harry calmed her down and said, " I will explain everything to you later but first let's get out of here."

Harry clutched the destroyed diary in his hand and marched out of the Chamber of Secrets with Susan in tow. As they reached the tunnel leading upwards into Moaning Myrtle's bathroom they found Lockhart pointing his wand at Neville and Ron and when he saw Harry and Susan he pointed his wand at them also and smiled sinisterly saying, " badluck boys, it looks like Mr. Potter has rescued Ms. Bones and now I am going to Obliviate the four of you and claim that I destroyed Slytherin's monster and that you four tragically lost your memories and I will take the shed skin as proof of my kill. This will be my greatest book yet. " and fired off an overpowered Obliviate at them but Harry who had been learning spell deflection just managed to deflect the spell back onto Lockhart himself and idiot was blasted backwards and fell unconscious.

Harry didn't waste time and immediately unshrunk his broom that he carried with him and got onto it and made Susan sit behind him and took off upwards out of the tunnel while ignoring the shouts of Neville and Ron who said, " You can't just leave us down here, Potter. "

Harry just shouted back saying, "sit tight for a while I will send the Professors to get you two idiots out. " as Harry and Susan exited the pipe and Harry used the broom to race to Dumbledore's officeoffice at top speed despite Susan's protests as she clutched him tightly as he took hairpin bends at full speed in Hogwarts corridors.
