Chapter 24

The End of the year feast found Harry chatting with his friends happily as they waited for the feast to begin when Dumbedore got up and fired a blast from his wand silencing everyone.

"Another academic year has ended and hopefully all your heads ate filled with a little more knowledge than at the start of this year. Now it is time to award the House Cup and it goes to Ravenclaw House who stand in first place with 650 points, Slytherin are in second place with 500 points, Hufflepuff are in third place with 450 points and Gryffindor are in fourth place with 200 points, ao I believe that a change of decorations is in order, and with a wave of wand all the decorations and banners hung in the Great Hall had changed to a Ravenclaw color of Blue and Bronze . And then proclaimed, Let the feast begin, " and sat down.

All the Ravenclaw students were cheering like Crazy while thinking about the Gryffindor's faces as after catching them in the act of sneaking into the Third floor corridor she deducted 50 points from each of the four Gryffindors , "Longbottom, Weasley, Finnegan and Hermione", effectively removing them from the race for the House Cup. And Ravenclaw was confirmed as the winner of both the House cup as well as the Quidditch cup when the Ravenclaw trashed Hufflepuff 450-100 in the final Quidditch match and winning the Quidditch cup for the first time for Ravenclaw in 50 years as Professor Flitwick was shouting in joy as he received the Quidditch cup from Harry who got it from the captain.

Harry had sent off Titania with the Sorcerers Stone to find the Flamels and deliver it to them with a note explaining his actions and advising them to go into hiding by faking their deaths as no one would search for someone who is dead. Harry had confidence that Titania would find them.

As Harry sat in a compartment of the Hogwarts express along with Padma, Terry, Daphne and Tracey he reflected on all he had done and experienced this year he was satisfied with his progress and was looking forward for his second year but was most eagerly looking forward to spending time with his family.

Harry turned to his friends and said, " so people, what are your plans for the summer? "

Daphne answered, " Me and my sister will be spending half of the holidays at my grandmother's estate in Italy and the other half here, maybe we can meet for shopping in Diagon Alley after we get letters from Hogwarts. "

Terry just shook his head saying that he had no idea and suggested that they meet up a few times during the holidays, the same with Padma who would be spending a month in India. Tracey would be going with Daphne to Italy as she was basically family to Daphne.

Lily Potter and her family were eagerly waiting for the arrival of the Hogwarts express to see their son and brother after nearly 4 months.

As the train came onto the platform Hyacinth, Nebula and Artemis started shouting, "Big brother is here, " again and again.

As the students started departing the train they had to wait a long time as Harry seemed to have sat in the last compartment.

Lily was pulled out of her musings when she spotted her son getting down from the train with four other students who looked like they were his friends, they hugged each other and said their goodbyes when two girls among them suddenly kissed him on the cheek and dashed away leaving her son with a bewildered expression on his face.

She heard James and Sirius whistling and James said, " would you look at that Padfoot , girls are kissing my son in his first year itself, glad hee didn't inherit my eye sight they would have marred his expressive eyes he inherited from Lily. "

Sirius agreed saying, " you are right Prongs, my godson is a babe magnet and I will teach all I know about girls and give him the talk, " giggling at all the fun he would be having at Harry's expense this summer.

Sirius was disturbed from his daydream when Amelia sternly said, " Sirius Black, you are not going to corrupt my innocent son, otherwise I will transform you into your dog form and have you neutered," making him turn pale at the unpleasant image it brought to his mind and he shakily nodded his agreement as to not incur the wrath of Amelia and Lily who were both thinking the same thing about how there was no way they would allow any hussy to corrupt their baby boy and nodded to each other. James just shook his head in exasperation, he knew that if Amelia and Lily had their way Harry would not be dating anyone till he was in his twenties.

They picked up Harry and returned to Potter Manor for lunch and listened to Harry happily regaling them with what happened after Christmas.
