'There's no need to hold back your tears'

Hazel couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at her father. She angrily smacked the rogues head intending to hurt it but this only enraged the rogue and she turned around ready to rip her apart when a gun shot echoed in the room. Hazel saw the change in Mavis face before she fell down and felt her heart break .She turned to see who shot the rogue and was relieved it was Sly . 'He's fine 'she thought before she rushed to her father together with her mother. Sly who just shot the rogue approached them in hurried footsteps as he helped the Duke ."Let's send him to one of the rooms in the mansion"he stated and without waiting for anyone carried him out from there .He would've teleported if not for the people at the hall .

Ronald was able to reach his family in time to protect them . Lenard on other hand who had come with one of his servants who was more than a servant to him found her in one of the hallways and sighed in relieve. "Are you alright Scarlett ?"he queried trying to be nonchalant and she nodded. She was visibly shaken by what happened today. "M-master Lenard what caused what happened in the hall"she stammered still shaken from what transpired. Lenard first observed her to make sure she was fine before saying "Don't stand here and ask questions go and help the other servants to clean the mansion"he ordered and walked away. Scarlett stared at him until he was out of sight before dragging her feet back to the hall . The screams finally down as all the rogues were dead . There was so many dead bodies that the people alive couldn't help but feel frightened about it . Ronald looked for his mother and found both his mom and dad with just some few scratches on them. He only sighed in relieve before leaving them to work because he was also a councilman and with the damage done they needed to find the culprit. Lenard who was a Duke took charge whiles his team joined him and started their investigation.He made sure they had samples of each and every food that was eaten there. Mr Anthony Javier , the owner of the mansion was being interrogated when his son joined him . "I don't think it has anything to do with the food that was cooked , because the head maid had tasted every food before it was shared this evening"Jeremy explained. The councilman who was of a lower rank , HHS queried "Can we meet the head maid then ". Jeremy gestured to a middle-aged woman who was dead on the floor. The councilman nodded and left to interrogate other people. Vera who had passed out due to the things that had taken place was carried to the room whiles the physicians who work at the council made their way there to come and help the injured ones . "Make sure to leave that body over there "Lenard pointed "and send it to Derick don't let anyone know about it"he muttered and the man standing beside him nodded. His boss was a very mysterious person when it comes to dealing with cases but he still trusted him .

Back in the room where Donovan was, Sly tried to stop the blood with a cloth whiles Hazel held her father's hand . Donovan had passed out right after he reached the room and Vanessa too was still too shocked to react to anything but just sit on the bed which sheets are gradually turning red to give her family some comfort . "The physician would be here in no time"Sly assured and Hazel nodded. She couldn't be more thankful because she knew that as a Lord he wouldn't have done this just for anyone but only someone dear to him . Just when the physician entered Vanessa sighed before she collapsed on the floor as if she was holding back all this time to see her husband was alright. Vanessa was kept beside her husband as the physician looked after them.

"Are you alright "Sly queried with concern and she nodded. He walked to where she was and hugged her but Hazel didn't refuse the hug this time and hugged him back burying her face in his chest ."There's no need to hold back your tears "Sly said patting her back and as if on cue Hazel broke down into tears with her shoulders trembling.
