Journey to stonetavern

It's been half a year since Nix left Riveriea.

Nothing exciting happened during the 6 months. Just your average monster slaying and bandits trying to rob him.

Walking down to the Nix can see a carriage being attacked by bandits.

Coming to the merchant's aid, Nix quickly deals with all the bandits. Nix left them tied up, unconscious.

Nix went to talk to the merchant, it turned out to be Poll!

"Hey, old man! So we ended up meeting again. How have you been?" Nix asks.

"It's been pretty good. I finally got a branch of my merchant guild in Riveria. I'm going back to the main building to report back. You should join me, kid. With you here, I don't have to worry about being attacked." Poll said.

"Sure old man. It was getting boring walking by myself anyways." Nix said.

"So old man, I thought you were a traveling merchant, you are part of a merchant guild?" Nix asks.

"Well it's kinda complicated kid. I'm a traveling merchant for this guild. That means I can use their name, but I have to look for good locations to set up a business. You understand?" Poll said.

"Yea, kind of," Nix said.

----------(A couple days later)-----------

Nix and Poll have traveled down the same road. Without encountering anyone, or even seeing a carriage trail.

"BUT YET THERE'S A FUCKING HUGE LINE!" Nix yelled out.

"Calm down kid. It's always like this. Never see anyone, I just wait hours in a line. It's the curse of every merchant and adventure." Poll said

Nix and Poll we're finally able to go through the gate to Stonetavern, the capital of the dwarves.

Their salute is 'Rock And Stone.'

"Well kid, we're here. Go to the adventures guild, and look around. Might find something useful." Poll said.

"Sure old man, hope to see you again," Nix said.

And with that Poll and Nix separated. Where the next time they meet, nobody knows.

Arriving at the guild, Nix has to wait in line for a couple of minutes.

"Hello there sir, how may I help you?" The clerk said.

"I'm here to sign under this guild," Nix said.

"I see, are you already signed up for an adventure?"

Nix pulls out his badge. It had his face, name, and his rank.

The clerk looks at the badge in surprise.

"Oh wow! So young and you're already S-Rank! Just sign these papers, and you're good to go."

That's right. While training with the royal knight, Nix was promoted to S-Rank.

Signing, the papers, Nix leaves the guild, and explores the capital. Getting a good taste of the food, the street vendors sell. Going to an inn, Nix pays for the room and goes to bed.

Not knowing what lurks for him soon.
