Interlude: falling into place

------------------(human kingdom)---------------------

In a room, full of people covered in robes, we can see Jae. Surrounding a pentagram, chanting. With every chant, the pentagram glows brighter and brighter.

"My lord, the time is nigh, we call upon you, to take your throne and rule what is rightfully yours!" Jae says.

The pentagram, glows even brighter, before a black hand with red tattoos comes out of the pentagram, followed by an inhumane screech.

-----------(a couple of days prior)-----------------

Running through the cold, damp alleyways, we can see a woman with beat-up clothing running.

She trips over a random object in the alley. Getting back up to run again, a hand grabbed her by the back of the throat.

"No! Please no!" The woman continues yelling.

"Don't worry young one. You won't feel anything anymore. No more pain, no more hunger. All you need to do is be a sacrifice for our king." An eerie voice says.

"P-please! I don't want to die!" She yells again.

A snap was heard shortly after, bringing back the eerie silence.

"Don't worry. Your death won't go to waste."

The man drags the corpse away. To an unknown location.

--------------(Back to present time)--------------

The demonic figure fully pulls himself out of the pentagram.

"Finally after all these years, I'm back." the demon says.

"My lord! Welcome back!" Jae says. Getting on one knee Jae kneels before the demon king.

"It's good to be back. Now tell me, who is the one destined to fight me?" The demon says.

"My lord. He is the 2nd prince of the human kingdom. We learned that his new name is Nix."

"Thank you for the information. Now it is time to take my throne, as the lonely king!" The demon says.
