First lost spirit

With nothing to do, Nix just lay there. Looking at his surroundings.

Eventually, the door opened, and a surprise visitor appeared. In his weird outfit like usual, and that high-pitched voice.

It was Poll!

"Wow, when they said I was needed for assistance, I wasn't expecting to see you. What the hell happened?" Poll asks.

"Well, you see, it started like this..."

After explaining from when the man yelled about a dragon, to when he was blasted by fire, Nix narrated his story.

"..."

"..."

Poll and Nix both stayed silent until it was broken.

" Damn kid. How shit is your luck? You were accused of kidnapping a princess in the last kingdom, now you were attacked by a dragon." Poll said.

" Wait how did you know about that?" Nix said.

" About you being accused? I'm a merchant, we are informed about a lot of things." Poll said.

Without getting a proper answer, Nix reluctantly holds his next question.

"Well, I'm just gonna leave this here, rub it on your wounds," Poll said.

Leaving quickly, Nix wasn't able to ask what it was.

" 'Sigh' Whatever, let's just find out what it does," Nix said.

Rubbing the unknown slimy liquid over his wounds, Nix watched as they healed.

" Damn, should've said it did this before I used it."

When Nix fully healed, he hopped out of bed and got his clothes, that were nearby.

Dressing in his new clothes, Nix looked at himself in the mirror.

" Not sure if I like these, but it'll work," Nix said.

(Just imagine the average farmer's clothes)

Leaving the building, Nix goes around the village. Eventually, he found a much-needed map. He was south of the capital.

Planning his trek back to the capital, Nix heard some interesting news.

" Hey did you hear? The forest seems to be haunted. The animals have been acting weird, and some people say they can hear someone yelling in pain."

" It's probably a ghoul. Stay away from that area, unless you want to become an undead."

Hearing this news, Nix decided to cut through the forest, to see if what they said was true. If not then shortcut.

Leaving the village, with some food, and water, Nix left the village, but he didn't forget to thank the people who took care of him, while he was resting.

Trekking in the woods, Nix could be seen, casually swatting a goblin away like a fly.

He has been in the forest for a couple of days now and noticed that the wildlife acting strange.

They seem more tense than usual like something would jump at them at any moment.

Nix went deeper and deeper into the woods. The deeper he goes, the fewer animals he sees.

Eventually, Nix pushed his way through the shrubbery, letting him see a man.

The man was pale. He was shivering even in the warm temperature. But what stood out the most was almost transparent.

" So you are the first one huh?"

"Y-y-you can see me?" The spirit shakily replied.

"Yes, now rest worn out spirit. May the afterlife greet you." Nix said.

Nix then raised his scythe and cut the spirit in half.

When the spirit faded out of existence, Nix clutched his head in pain.

Information flowing into his head.

Holding his head tightly, Nix thought about his new power.

' This is gonna be fun.' Nix thought.

(I can't think of a power so put some ideas here. I'll use the one that sounds the coolest)
