Fight with a demon

Nix couldn't believe his eyes. A demon stood there, bodies all around it. The flames burning brightly.

Everybody was running away. Nobody wanted to fight the demon. But someone needed to keep it busy until backup arrived.

Seeing nobody willing to stall the demon, Nix stepped forward ignoring the people yelling at him to run away.

The demon looked at Nix."Someone is approaching me? You are really brave or really stupid."

"Well someone needs to punch you in the ugly mug."

The demon jumps at Nix swinging his fist at his head. Nix barely dodged out of the way.

"Oh? Not many people can dodge the first attack. Let's see how much you can take."

Nix summoned his scythe. Connecting his rope with a piece of wood nearby, Nix threw it at the demon. The demon swatted it to the side. But Nix was nowhere to be seen.

The demon looks around before lifting his leg.

"Are all shadow mages gonna jump into the shadows? Because it's the first thing they do when they fight."

The demon slammed his foot into the ground. With how much the ground was shaking, you'd think there was an earthquake.

But that's not all it did. It forced Nix out of the shadow. The demon took this chance to land a kick on Nix's chest.

With the wind knocked out of him, Nix could barely move. Barely rolling out of the way, of the demon jumping on him.

Nix got back up to his feet and swung his scythe downward. The demon sidestepped the swing. The scythe slammed down onto the ground. Nix used the scythe to pull himself forward kicking the demon in the gut.

Or that's what Nix was hoping for. The demon grabbed his foot. The demon smirked and said."This is gonna hurt."

The demon lifted Nix off the ground and slammed him down. Nix trying to get out of the demon's grasp, kicked at the demon's face. But it was for nothing. It grabbed his other foot.

"Awww, look at you trying to struggle. Don't worry. I'll make your death slow and painful." The demon said with an evil smirk.

With a better grip on Nix, the demon lifted him back up. And slammed him down again. Nix tried to break free of its grip but it was all for naught.

Nix looked around for anything to grab, but couldn't find anything. The demon slammed him down again.

Thrashing Nix around the demon was laughing, having fun destroying Nix.

When the demon lifted Nix back up a sword cut off its arm.

The demon backed away screaming in pain. The person who saved Nix was covered in white shining armor. No features could be seen.

The knight stretched his arm forward, pointing at the demon. A blast of white went toward the demon. The demon moved out of the way.

But the knight was faster and chopped off its head with his sword.

Nix saw that the demon was dead, and passed out.
