Dragon

Nix was making his way to the guild to pick a quest.

Enjoying the scenery around, the bustle of people, the smell of food, the guy screaming that he spotted a dragon. Wait what?

Nix approaches the man."Hey, calm down. Where did you last spot it."

"I-it was n-near the mountain river! I-in the cave!" The man said

"Alright, I'll go hold it back. You go to the guild and get help." Nix says.

"B-but it will kill you!"

Nix shows him his adventure badge."Don't worry about me. I can hold it. I just need support to drive it off or kill it."

Not wasting any time Nix runs to the city gate, as fast as he can.

Leaving bewildered people in the dust, Nix runs to the location the man described.

----------------(In front of the dragon's lair)------------------

Crouching down, Nix sinks into the shadows and the cave.

When Nix entered the cave, he saw it.

The 'dragon'.

Getting out of the shadows, Nix looks at the 'dragon' in disappointment.

It wasn't a dragon at all. It was a baby wyvern. They are very similar to dragons, except way weaker.

Dragons usually need a couple of S-Rank adventures to kill. Wyverns need one A-Rank adventure with good common sense to kill. Very different.

The Wyvern was even in a deep sleep, making Nix's job easier. Walking to the wyvern, blade coated in magic, Nix cut off its head with no effort.

'Well, that was a disappointment.'

When Nix walked out of the cave, he was greeted by adventures that were there to help slay the dragon.

"Where's the dragon?!" One of the adventures shouts out.

"It wasn't a dragon, just a baby wyvern," Nix says.

Then they heard it. An ear-piercing roar. Followed by flame shooting up into the sky.

And with it, a dragon arose. With all of its glory.

Shining red scales and all.

But there was something strange about this dragon.

Trying to discern what it is, the other adventures tremble in fear.

"I-i-its a-a ANCIENT DRAGON!" One of them shouts.

Nix looks back at them, then back to the dragon. That's when Nix looked into its piercing yellow eyes. Eyes that have wisdom beyond man. And with a healthy dose of hate.

The dragon blasted fire at Nix and the adventures behind him. Nix barely dodged out of the way. But the same couldn't be said about the rest of his team. They were burnt to ashes, leaving nothing behind.

The dragon landed in front of Nix. Roaring with flame foaming out of its mouth.

Nix got ready for the fight. If he survives nobody knows.
