Virginia knew he did not really mean it. He was just saying these thing for that little homewrecker in his home.

She would help him out by getting rid of her for him.

Ariel showered and got ready for bed there was a knock on her door.

"Yes, come in." She said.

Marcus opened the door. "I want to apologize to you. Virginia King is one of the investors in our company and is on the board of directors. We had one business dinner together and she has it in her head we are dating."

"It's all right. I really was not upset at the misunderstanding. However it sounds a lot like what your brother is doing to me. Plus it is none of my business if you want to date her." She smiled.

"I don't and it'sall one sided, as long as we are clear I am good. Sweet dreams."

The next day Ariel once again played with Molly but Ben would not even come near her. Molly performed a few simple tricks on demand.

The whole week went this way. Molly progressing with more and more tricks. She listened to what Ariel said. Ben just watched from the other side.

Her tattoos had stayed on for four days and Saran the Tattoo artist wanted to wait another day if Areil could make it five then that would be great.

She picked up her tail and then headed home. As she was crossing the street to get to the bus stop a car swerved and young man pulled her away at the last second.

"Are you all right miss?" he asked.

"I think so. That crazy driver almost hit me." She said tring to calm her heart.

"I got the license tag of the car and I will report it to the police." A young girl said.

"Thank you very much." They waited for a officer to come and make a statement, then they all parted ways and she got on the bus.

It did not take long to reach the stop neatest her new home but she only had a block to walk. She felt that someone was watching her but could not figure out where they were.

She was scared by the time she got home so Ariel locked the door and called Marcus.

"When will you be home tonight?"

"Around 6, miss me?" he laughed.

"I do, Someone all most ran me over and I feel like someone is watching me."

He could now hear the fear in her voice.

"Lock the door and keep the phone by your side. I'll try to wrap things up as fast as I can here. Be safe."

She hung up at went to set on the balcony. In a little while she heard the door bell. She put the chain on the door and opened it.

"Yes, how can I help you?" she said.

"I have a delivery for Miss Ariel Thomas, you need to sign for it." the deliveryman said.

"Who is it from?" She asked.

"The paperwork here does not say want me to pass you the card?" he said.

"Yes." He passed her a small card. It read: To Ariel From Marcus.

She then opend the door and signed for the flowers.

They were lovely flowers. She looked in the cabinet and found a vase. As she unwrapped the flowers to arrange them her hands started itching really bad. Then she was having trouble breathing.

She made her way to the intercom for the guard and all she could say was help before passing out.

The gaurd arrived right away and used his key to enter. He then call 911. She was still breathing but it did not sound right. The Ambulance came in a few minutes and she was rushed to the hospital.

"Hello Mr. McKenna this is Joe a gaurd at your place of residents. Miss Thomas was sent to the hospital right now having trouble breathing. I just thought you should know."

"Thanks Joe. I'll head that way."

When he got there they had her in a room. She had a tube in her mouth to help her breath.

"She has an unknown toxin in her system. I was told she was found at home. Can I send a group over to look for what caused this is so we know how to treat it?"

"Yes, I'll let Joe know to let you in. Do everything you can. She is the love of my life."

The team left and when they came back the police was with them and they arrested Marcus. For what they found was flowers laced with KDA a highly powerful drug that can kill with just one use. They also found that the card with his name on it had traces of the drug too.

"I did not send any flowers to her. She was telling me someone tried to run her down today. I told her to lock the doors and let no one in. Why would I send her flowers?" He said.

"Come with us and answer a few question. We will look into this fully."

"Can I make a call before you take me away?" he asked.

They agreed. So he called his brother.

"Ariel has been hurt and I think someone is tring to kill her. They think it was me. I need you to come help me for once in your life down here."

"I'll be there soon. Hang on. How is Ariel?"

"Bad real bad." That's all Marcus could say.

Marcus was lead away while they kept the sleeping Mermaid comfortable.

Two and a half hours later Harrison walked into the hospital and took charge.

"What is her diagnosis?" he asked.

"She has inhaled KDA a lethal street drug. There is no know cure. She will ether get better on her own or die. We are just trying to make her comfortable right now."

He walked into her room and sat next to her taking her hand. "Hey little Mermaid, wake up, our little princess is waiting for us." He then kissed her cheek.

'Who would want to hurt his girl?' He pulled out his phone and called a friend.

"I need you to come to Harborview and find out what really happened to my girl. Someone caused her harm."

"Be there in a couple of hours boss."

Marcus gave proof to the police that he had been in meetings all day. Then they got his permission to go through the house.
