In the Water (58)

Ariel watched with great pain as the little girl was beat by Sarah. When she opened her eyes she was laying on the couch. Marcus had a look fear on his face.

"Are you alright? Would you like me to send you to the hospital?" He asked.

"We need to save Lily." Ariel cried.

"Ariel, Stop it. Lily will be fine. If anything happened Cindy and JJ will handle it."

Ariel knew she was not getting anywhere she had to change her plan. "Ok, Can I have some peppermint icecream."

"Sure, be right back." He said heading into the kitchen.

Ariel had finished off the icecream with Lily last night so when he came back she got all pouty. "Please, I really need some. Run and get some."

He could not say no but as soon as he drove off she called a cab. If they would not save Lily she would. She grabbed her bag and ran out the door.

She got down town and now had to look for the club she had seen in her vision. Club Jazz was one of the larger clubs downtown so it was easy to spot but it was closed right now. She went around back and found the back door unlocked.

As she slowly went in looking for the basement she heard the a cry of pain. It was Lily. She the made a call Harper.

Harper had just gotten through to Annie.

"Harper, It good to hear your voice. How are you,?" She asked.

"Fine Annie. I visited him. I understand you visit regularly." Harper said.

"Yes, My brother is there. I know it."

"Yes, I know it to. He talked to me. Kara could not keep him locked up this time."

"Really, that is so good."

"Annie, Kara gave me some files. Up to date files. How did she get them when you are the only one to see her?" Harper asked.

"Files? I don't understand." She said.

"They were on usb drives."

"I still don't know what you are talking about."

"Annie, you are the only person to see Kara. She has no way of getting the information she has but by someone else. How did you get the information and why did you give it to her?" He asked.

"I never gave her anything. Just ask the Nurses. I am not allowed to even bring a pen in when I visit." She said.

"Ok, I believe you." He said.

He did believe her. He was asked to leave everything at the desk. Wallet and all before heading into her room. So who could have given her the files. The only way he could think of would have been the staff. He would have to make another trip there to talk to his husbands doctors and try to find out who was helping Kara with the information she had.

As he hung up a call came in from Ariel.

"Harper, I'm at Club Jazz. They have Lily. Please hurry they are hurting her."

"What are you doing there?" He said runny out the door.

"No one would listen to me. I have to save her."

"Don't do anything crazy I'm on my way." He said.

On the way there he called JJ. "Send everyone you can to Club Jazz."

"I can't right now. Lily McKenna has been taken." He said.

"She is at Club Jazz. Ariel is there too." Harper said driving like a mad man.

"Shit, How did they get her too?" JJ said heading out the door with two men.

"No one would listen to her so she went after Lily herself. Why was no one listing to her."

"No one told me. Dam we will meet you there."

Ariel stood in the corner her heart hurting with the sound of the painful crying. She had to stop it so she ran in.

Sarah had the little girl hitting her over and over. Ariel pushed passed her and hugged the little girl.

"Leave her alone." Ariel screamed.

Sarah smiled and two big men moved forward. "Take our two get to the harbor. If she is here right now that means back up would be here soon. We need to get rid of both of them."

Ariel protected Lily but was no match for the two men and soon both had passed out.

When everyone arrived only a blood stain and Ariels purse and phone were found. They were to late.

"What do we do now?" Harper asked.

Cindy was beside herself. She let this happen.

Marcus should of listen to Ariel. She would still be safe at home and Lily would of had a chance.

Then Harrison's phone received a message. A video was sent to his phone. As he played it he dropped it as he turned pale. Ariel and Lily were shot and thrown into the water off a boat. He then collapsed.

Ariel struggled in the water to free her hands. She did it in record time. She then dove down and pulled Lily up. She did her best while treading water to pump the water out of Lily lungs and when the little girl took a deep breath and started coughing she breathed a sigh of relief.

Lily hung Ariel tight. They were safe for now but Ariel knew she could not keep treading like this. She looked around and the only thing she could see was water.

"Lily, How are you feeling?" Ariel asked.

"My chest hurts." Lily said.

Ariel felt the little girl. When Lily screamed Ariel figured she must have a broken rib. "Kimberly what do I do?" She whispered.

Luckily she was wearing her jeans so while doing her best she wiggled out of them. She tied both leg bottoms in a knot and tried to inflate the pants like she had learned in swim class. It took time but it worked. She was getting really tired now.

Night was falling and the water was getting colder. She did her best to keep Lily warm but Ariel could not keep her eyes open any longer.
