Harrison had gotten a call early in the morning from Commander Jones letting him know that Bob King was out.

He needed to keep Lily safe and then wondered if Ariel was safe too so he sent her a text.

Lily woke up and help the new cook make two lunches. She could not see how giving that mean old boy food would make her friends with him.

"Lily time to leave for school." Mr. June said.

"Okay" She runs out to the car and he buckled her in.

"Remember to stay near me at all times. Your safety is very important to your dad and that Mermaid of yours." He reminds her.

"I know." She rolled her eyes.

At school thing went by normally then at lunch she goes up to Peter.

"Funny face what do you want." he said.

She handed him the lunch she made.

"What is this?" he asked.

"I made you lunch. It's ham and cheese. Cheese pops and chip cookies. With an apple juice box." She smiled.

"Why?"

"Because I want to be your friend."

"Your werid but I'll eat lunch with you." He said taking her hand and walking to a bench to eat together.

Ariel woke that morning and called Heather, "I'm back in the city now. When do you need me to start."

"Next Monday will be your first shift. 6 am. Come by anytime before then to fill out the paper work." Heather said.

"Ok Thank you very much. You are a life saver." Ariel said.

Next Harper and her went shopping for food. When he tried to pay she shook her head no and said, "The deal was $100 rent, half of the utilities, and I buy the food."

That is what he agreed on so he let her pay.

A few days went by and Harper drove Ariel over to the Cafe to fill out her paper work.

"My lands shake, It's been awhile boy. How are you and the gang doing?" Heather said.

"All good. Working hard." Harper said.

"What brings you here today with my little one." She asked.

"Remember I told you what happened to me in Harborview?" Ariel said.

"Yes"

"I am here to protect her till the scum is no longer after her." Harper said.

"You got the best dear. I have known this guys since he was a kid. You can not do any better." Heather gave the paperwork to Ariel and poured Harper a cup of coffee.

"How did you get involved in this son?" Heather asked.

"She is Marus's girlfriend. We are all protecting her."

"You better not. I lost Nelson and my daughter is still far away to never come back. She is like family to me."

"I will do my best. All of us will." He said taking her hand.

"So tell me what my boys are up to?" She said.

He told her what each one of them was doing and promised that he would see to it they would all visit soon. Heather agreed to let him hang out and keep watch while Ariel work.

As they head home Ariel recieved a call from Lily.

"Hey, how was your day?" Ariel asked.

"Just great." She said not sounding like it was great.

"What happened?"

"I made Peter a lunch and he ate it then he pushed me in the mud and got my new dress all dirty. When I started to cry he called me a baby."

"I'm sorry honey. I know how to cheer you up. I will make a trip Saturday to visit you. I need to pick up some things. Remember Harper he is going to help me. We can stop by and spend a few hours together."

"Can we go see the Fish like old times?" She asked.

"Sure. I'll call your Dad first to make sure but if he says no then no crying okay."

"Okay."

They talked for a few more minutes before hanging up.

"You really like that girl?" Harper asked.

"Yes, She was born on my birthday and her mother gave me her heart." Ariel said.

"Now you have got to tell what you mean." Harper said.

"Lily's mother had a brain tumor and died before she was born. Her body was kept alive so Lily would have the best chance to survive. The day of my 16th birthday she gave birth and because we had the same rare blood type her heart went to replace my bad heart."

"Wow, What is the coincidence of the two of you meeting."

"I know right."

When they got home it was Harper's turn to cook so why he was in the kitchen she called Harrison.

"Hello?" A womans voice said.

"Hi, can I speak to Harrison?" Ariel said after looking to make sure she dialed the right number.

"He is in the shower, if you know what I mean. Can he call you back?" The woman said.

"Yes, tell him Ariel called."

"Can I tell him what it is about?"

"No, just ask him to call me please." Ariel said.

"I will but if you have your sited set on my boyfriend I must ask you woman to woman to please leave him alone."

"Don't worry." Ariel hung up. Why was this making her feel uneasy.

Harrison now had a fresh suit on.

"Really sorry, I am such a klutz. Can you for give me for knocking your coffee all over you?" Carrie said.

"It's alright it was an accident. Now finish going over staff evaluation."

He picked up his phone no new calls.

He worked late with Carrie and when they were done he drove her home.

"Thanks for the ride. Would you like to come in for a night cap?" She smiled.

"No, I still need to drive home. See you tomorrow." He said then drove off. She still needed a way to make him hers and the first thing was blocking that Mermaids number.
