First meal (100)

Marcus scooped her up and carried her back into her place. She would not let go so he sat on the couch with her in his lap.

He let her tears fall as he rubbed her back. After about 20 minutes she looked up at him. "They fired me for dating you."

"I heard, I went to your work thinking the reason you did not pick up was you were still there. Your boss told me everything."

"Why is it wrong for us to be together."

"I don't think it is honey. I'll fix this I promise."

"Ok," she snuggled up to him. "Maybe we had better not move in together right now. Your sister-in-law was kind of scary."

"Believe me when I say, I won't let her get between us. I will protect you."

"I believe you." She said.

"Grab some cloths and we will head home. Tomorrow take the day to get someone to pack up your things and move them to our place."

"I need to find a job first. I can't pay rent right now." She said getting up to head to her room.

"You do not need to pay rent."

"I can't live off of you."

"It's just until we get everything settled. Then we will talk about what is fair for you to contribute." He said walking to her room with her.

She pulled out her suitcases and started packing her cloths. "Ok, but know I won't stay and free load off you understand."

"I understand." He got one case packed of her undergarments and sleepwear. He held up a little pink see through one. "Can you wear this one tonight?"

She blushed and grabbed it and put it in the case and laughed. He was happy he could make her smile.

After a few minutes she closed the cases and he took them from her. "Anything else?"

"No the rest can wait." She smiled and grabbed her phone and now noticed the missed calls. " Sorry, I did not hear the phone."

"It's ok. It was good that I went to your work first. If I hadn't then I would not know what was really going on."

They walked out and down the stairs. He placed the bags in the trunk and they headed home.

"Stop by the grocery store please." She asked.

He raised his eyebrow, "Ok?"

He pulled into Cutlet Groceries. She got out and he parked and headed in.

He found her in the meat department. She got some ribs, and some flank steak. He then followed her to get vegetables and then soy sauce and Barbecue sauce. Then some rice. She then got peanutbutter and apple butter.

"Anything else?" He said smiling.

"I think I got everything. I wanted to make a stir fry tonight and ribs tomorrow. I was not sure everything you have at home. I'll make a list once I go through your cupboards."

"I'll get you anything you want." He smiled.

"I'll pay for this. I still have money right now. Let me feel like I can control something."

"Anything you want. I will provide even if it is you paying."

"Thank you." She smiled and walked to the checkout. He then loaded the bags in the back and he headed for the house.

"The code for the gate is your birthday. I will get a key for you made tomorrow for the house." He said as he drove through the gate.

"Can you drive?" He asked.

"No, I've never had to before. Is there a bus stop close or will I need to use a taxicab?" She said as they drove down the driveway.

"I will teach you to drive later but you can use my driver if you need to go anywhere. I want to leave the gate locked. I don't usually but with what is going on I think it would be better. Understand?"

"Yes, I'll accept this as a compromise." She smiled.

She help him carry in the groceries and he asked the man from last night to bring in her bags and take them to the master suite.

"Who is that?"

"He runs my house his name is William. He make sure the garden is taken care of and the lawn mowed. That the house keeper cleaned everything. Usually I don't see much of him, but because of the changes, he will be here to let them all in. My driver and him are the only ones with the code. He is the only one with a key to the house."

"William, I try to remember that. What is your housekeeper's name?"

"Miss Flora. She is a sweet old lady that treats me as one of her kids. I just love her. You'll meet her tomorrow. She is only here in the morning."

"Ok I got it." Ariel then put away the groceries and went to see if her cloths were in her room.

She unpacked her things and placed them in the closet.

"The drawers on the left are for you. I had Miss Flora clear my things out. The top one is a jewelry storage but lets put your good pieces in the safe in my office." He said watching her hang some of her things.

"I have them in a fireproof box, Ill get them tomorrow I just didn't think of them right now." She turned to him.

"That's alright. You'll get everything tomorrow, I am not worried."

She finished unpacking then went down to start dinner. He took a quick shower and changed into a comfortable out fit and headed down to be in the same room as Ariel.

He sat at the bar and watched her cut, stir and make a wonderful smelling stir fry.

They ate their first meal as a couple and he could not of been happier.

"Who do you think I should get to move my things and what should I do with my furniture?" She asked using her chopsticks to place some vegetables in her mouth.

"Do you want to keep any of your furniture?"

"I'm not really sure. I am thinking of subletting my apartment and I could rent it furnished."

"Sounds good. If that is what you want to do. Then go for it."

"Then I would not need a company to move me, just a few hours. That's if your driver will help me carry everything down to the car."

"He will help with what ever you need him to do. Matt is a good guy."

They finished dinner and she took the plates to the kitchen. "Leave them for the housekeeper." He said pulling her into an embrace.

"It won't take long to straighten up and I can't sleep with undone dished." She smiled up at him. "I'll wash if you'll dry."

He kissed the top of her head and rolled up his sleeves. "I'll wash, I hate drying."
