Checking on Marcus (48)

Harper went and stayed by Marcus's side when Hiny told him the news. He lost it and broke down.

JJ kept the two guards that knew what was going on, looking out for Ariel in her new room.

Doctor Kim found a body to play the part to Ariel's dead body and the play was now all set.

{Early is morning tragedy struck when a Young Lady was given the wrong medication after surgery. Ariel Thomas Jensen a local girl lost her life after a life saving surgery. She was only 22 years old and was married right before she went in surgery. Mrs. Jensen worked as a Mermaid at the Aquarium Park for over a year before taking her Act to Harborview at their park. That is when she was exposed to the deadly drug KDA and almost lost her life. She was then Kidnapped by a local gang in Harborview to once again make it through a life and death struggle. It seems that this little Mermaid lost her last chance at life. A statement from the hospital says the reason for this mistake is still being investigated. This is Jane McDonald signing off.}

Harrison dropped his coffee cup at the news report. Ariel was dead but how? He tried calling Marcus but it kept going to voice mail. He then called JJ.

"It was a Nurse. Gave her a shot that killed her. Since we were not allowed to stay with her in recovery we could not stop it. Keep a close eye on your daughter. Bob King will still be after her next. I would take her some place safer to hide." JJ said.

"How is my brother Commander?" he asked.

"Broken right now. Harper is with him. We will help him make arrangements."

"Ok, Please take care of him for me." He hung up and called his mother.

"Mom, I need you to take Lily away right now. I need you to take her out into the middle of the sea. Bad men are after her. They killed Ariel this morning."

"Ok, I'll get the boat ready."

"Don't tell anyone Lily will be on board, please mom not even Dad. I'll keep Dad busy at the company till you are gone." he said.

"Ok, I'll call when I get things set."

An hour went by and he got a call from his father.

"Yes?" Harrison said.

"I just seen the News son. It servers her right for choosing your brother over you. I need you to come in and look over these new projects. Also your mother has decided to go back on the ship and leave me here for awhile so I would like to stay with you."

"Sure dad, I'll be at the office as soon as I get Lily to school. Today is a late day for her."

"See you soon then." His father hung up.

"Mr. McKenna we are ready." Mr. June said.

"Ok, please keep my mother and daughter safe. I can't lose them." Harrison said.

"I understand and I'll do my best. Ready to go."

Harrison drove them to the boat. Mr. June carried a large case on and Harrison carried two smaller cases on. Lily was asleep in the Large case just incase they would be followed. When the ship was out to sea he drove to the company.

Bob listen to the news with Sarah and a big evil smile ran across his face. "One down, one to go. I just wish I could see the pain on that bastards face right now."

Sarah then recieved a call from her friend. "The girl did not come today. It says on the log book there was a death in the family."

"That's ok, just let us know when she returns, then do as we agreed on." Sarah said.

"Ok" She then hung up the phone.

"Seems like you will need to wait a little while for the girl." Sarah said.

"I expected it. I can wait." Bob flip open his phone and looked up the news again. He felt so good.

When his phone rang he picked it up.

"Boss, she is dead I just seen the body. They were just taking her in for an autopsy."

"Ok, you are sure it was her?" Bob asked.

"Yes, I held the picture up to her face. I had to pay the morgue guy a Ben to see her but it really was her."

"Good job. Try and find that bastard and let me see how he is suffering."

Bob put down his phone and looked at Sarah. "Go to the hospital and see what you can find out."

"Ok, but you will owe me one." She said getting up to go to her room to change.

She dressed in a simple white dress and stopped to get a bottle of cognac for her friend Doctor Jay Hillman.

As she walked down the hall she spotted Marcus and walked over to him.

"Are you all right?" She said leaning down to talk to him.

"What are you doing here?" he snapped.

"My, my who died? I'm just here to see a friend, I owe him a bottle of cognac see." she held out the gift.

"Tell me what is wrong. Is something wrong with Harrison?" She asked.

He just looked up at her. "No, he is fine."

"Then is it that brat Lily?"

"She is not a brat. She is the most wonderful child in the world."

"Oh my go*, what happened to Lily? Marcus you are scaring me. I know we had our differences but I would never want anything to happen to her." She made herself sound panicked. She was such a good actress.

"It's not Lily. It's my wife, she passed away."

"I did not know you are marry. I'm sorry. Here you need this more then Jay does. I'll get him another later." She handed him the bottle.

He took it and said, "Thanks."

"What happened?" She asked sitting down next to him.

"A nurse gave her the wrong medication." he said with out thinking.

"Wait the girl on the New, Ariel Jensen was your wife, but you last name is McKenna."

She said.

"I did a name change right before we got married."

"Can I do anything for you. We may have been enemies once, but I also thought a lot of you. You were one of the good guys."

"No, I am just waiting for the autopsy report so I can send the body to the mortuary. She will be buried next to her parents."

"Ok, call if you think of anything I can do. Have Harrison call me to if he needs anything." She smiled as she stood up.

He looked up as she walked down the hall to the Doctor's offices.
