Carrie waited by her phone and soon she received the call she was waiting for.

"I sent the info I have to your email. If you want it more detailed let me know."

She opened her email and read:

Ariel Marie Thomas.

Born: July XX, 19XX

Mother: Mary Marie Thomas

Father: Mark Alexander Thomas

Siblings: Brother: Alexander James Thomas

Family died on November XX, 20XX when building collapsed due to poor construction.

She grew up with no other family in Saint Alexander Orphanage. Then transitioned to Capital halfway house. Lived there until it closed due to funding. Lived in St. Mary's shelter for the homeless.

Has Had a dozen jobs over the past four years.

No police or court records.

Was attacked by unknown person with the drug KDA and died and was revived. Still has side effects from drug.

Was Kidnapped along with Lily McKenna by the gang that goes by Tigerstar. Was killed by them and revived.

Was admitted today to Capital Hospital.

She was here in Capital and in the hospital she had to find a way to get rid of her. She would head over in the morning and take a look.

Ariel was taken to her new room and Marcus was going to stay by her side no matter what.

JJ was going to take the night shift and Harper the Day shift. Hindy had Tubby come and pick him up.

Harrison sat there and realized how selfish he had been to his brother. He could see the love Marcus had for Ariel was like the love he had for Kimberly. He could not take Ariel away from him. He had to make sure they ended up together. His brother deserved to be happy.

"I'm heading home. Call me if you need me. I'll bring you breakfast in the morning." He said.

Marcus just shook his head.

When everyone was gone and it was just Ariel and him he took off his shoes and climbed in bed next to her and held her tight.

Ariel was in the sea of nothingness swimming around when she felt the pull of something warm surround her. It was a wonderful feeling as if she was home. She hoped this feeling would never leave.

"Little Mermaid, Are you ready to face what is next?" Kimberly asked.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Some people are coming for you and Lily and you must protect my child. Beware of a woman that is also coming for you. Only you can put an end to all this and live with your true love."

"Tell me who it is, Harrison or Marcus?"

"No you must decide for yourself who it is."

The warm feeling was turning cold. She wanted it back. What was it and why did it leave.

Marcus woke as Harrison came in with a plate of food and coffee. He got up and ate.

"You look like hell. I brought you some light cloths to wear. Take a shower and changes I'll watch your girl."

"Thanks Harry. Does this mean you give up?" He asked.

"For now yes. But if you ever hurt her I'll steal her away." He smiled.

Marcus went into her bathroom and showered. He wanted to get back to her as fast as he could.

Harrison had brought him sweatpants and a tshirt. He felt so much better now.

Harrison sat next to Ariel. She was cold to the touch. Now he knew why his brother was laying with her, to help keep her warm.

Marcus came out, "Thanks Harrison, I appreciate it."

"Don't call me that, Call me Harry. Did you get some sleep?" Harrison asked.

"Yes Harry, Not sure how long but I did fall asleep." he said.

"I'll be back around lunchtime. Come with me then to the cafeteria to eat." Harrison said.

"I don't want to leave her." Marcus said.

"Please, we need to talk and it's better if Ariel can't hear right now."

"Ok but we make it quick."

"I will, I'll see you at noon." Harrison said and left.

Marcus climbed back into bed and pulled her close.

The warm feeling came back to Ariel and she was happy.

Carrie got up and dressed in plain cloths. She stopped at the florist and got some flowers.

When she got to the hospital she found out which room Ariel was in but was surprised she had a guard at the door.

"Is this Miss Ariel Thomas's room. I have flowers for her." Carrie said.

"Yes, who are they from?" Harper asked.

"Captial Aquarium, she had many friends there and when we heard she was in the hospital we all chipped in to get her flowers." She said.

Harper took the flowers and looked them over. Then he looked at the card. Nothing strange about it so he let her in.

She took them in and seen that Marcus was sleeping next to her. Seducing two men, she is such a shameful slut.

She left the flowers and quietly left. She could do nothing right now with Marcus by her side.

She snuck off and found a nurses uniform in a lockerroom. She would wait and as soon as Ariel was alone she would kill her.

Noon came and Carrie watched as Harrison. Soon after he left with Marcus now was her chance.

She place her mask on and went to the door. Looked at the chart she had stolen like she was checking something then went in.

She was not stopped, this was good. She looked at Ariel then noticed she was on a ventilator. She turned off the alarm system and unplugged it. She then watched as Ariel struggled to breath and smiled. She walked back out and stopped as if she was checking something, then walked off.

As soon as she was clear she ditched the uniform and hid to watch the show.

Harrison and Marcus sat at a table with a bowl of soup and a sandwich.

"Marcus you need to take care of yourself."

"I know, it is just hard to think straight right now."

"You really love her a lot don't you?" Harrison asked.

"More than life it's self. I thought I was in love with Kimmy but I know now, that was love between friends."

"I see that. Mom tells me you are going to change your name to Marcus Jensen"

"Yes, going to court next week to do it. I already set it all up. Don't worry, you will always be my brother and Lily my niece. I used Mom maiden name so I can still be her son."

"That's good. I can't get Dad to tell me why he lied and why he treats you like he does. But you still have us." Harrison said.

Marcus was getting a bad feeling and wanted to return.

"Lets head back now." Marcus said and they both headed for Ariel's room.
