Katsuki!

"So. As third-year students, it's time to start thinking seriously about your futures and what you want to do with your lives." Your homeroom teacher announced as he pulls out career aptitude tests. "I could pass out some career aptitude tests, but, why bother?" He tosses the career aptitude tests in the air. "I know you all want to go to the hero track!"

All of the students in the classroom cheered as they activated their Quirks. The only people who kept their cool were you, Izuku, and Bakugou. 

"Yes, yes, you've got some very impressive Quirks, but no power usage allowed in school! Get a hold of yourselves."

"Hey, teach!" Bakugou calls out with a smug look on his face and his feet on the desk. "Don't lump me in with this buncha losers. I'm the real deal, but these guys will be lucky to end up as sidekicks to some busted D-Lister. Ha!"

You rolled your eyes at how arrogant he was being. The rest of the students didn't like the blonde's attitude either and they all booed and jeered at him. Bakugou just smirked as he said, "Let's go, I'll take you all on!"

"Hey, Bakuhoe!" You intervened. "Before you write everyone in this room off, you should remember that I got top score in English while you took second place!"

"Shut up, Bitch! And don't call me by that damn name!" Bakugou snapped. 

"Huh. You both got impressive test results." The homeroom teacher states as he looks over yours and Bakugou's test scores. "Maybe one of you will get into UA High."

All of the students gaped at you and Bakugou at the mention of the elite school.

"They're gonna try for the National School?"

"That school has a .2% acceptance rate!"

"It's impossible to get into."

"That's exactly why it's the only place worthy of me." Bakugou stands on his desk triumphantly. "I aced all of the mock tests. I'm better than Yagi. I'm the only one at this school who stands a chance at getting in. I'll end up more popular than All Might himself, and be the richest hero of all time!" Bakugou raises his fist in the air. "People all across the world will know who I am, and it all starts with UA High!"

Before you can retort back at him, the teacher spoke up.

"Oh yeah, Midoriya, don't you wanna go to UA, too?"

You froze and looked back at your other childhood friend. He flinched when he felt everyone's eyes on him and slowly raised his head. All the students, except you, erupted with laughter. 

"Midoriya? You're kidding, right?"

"There's no way you're getting into the hero course without a Quirk!"

The scared teen stood up from his seat. "Well, actually they got rid of that rule." He stuttered out. "I could be the first one."

Without any warning, Bakugou slams his hand on Izuku's desk and creates an explosion, scaring the green-haired boy and makes him fall on the floor. 

"Listen up, Deku! You're even worse than the rest of these damn rejects, you Quirkless wannabe." Bakugou jeered with a baleful smile as smoke came from his hand. "You really think they'd let someone like you in when they could have me?"

"Huh? No, wait! You've got it all wrong! Really!" Izuku raised his hands in defense as he backs himself to a wall. "I'm not trying to compete against you. You gotta believe me!"

"That's enough, Bakugou!" You shouted. "Stop messing with him!"

"It's just that I've wanted to be a hero since I was little." Izuku whimpered out. "I may not have a Quirk, but I can still try my hardest, can't I?"

"You'd never be able to hang with the best of the best, You'd die in the exams!" Bakugou states as smoke came from his hands. "Defenseless Izuku. This school's already crappy. You really wanna embarrass it more by failing so hard?"

All the students laughed at Bakugou's remark. You angrily stood up and got between Izuku and Bakugou with your back facing your timid friend. 

"I said leave him alone, Bakugou!" You warned. Right now, you want to use your Quirk on the blonde bully to teach him a lesson of your own, but you refrained yourself from doing so since it was against school rules.

"Okay, Yagi, answer me this," Bakugou points at Izuku. "Do you really think that Quirkless bastard can be a hero?"

You opened your mouth to say something, but no words would come out. What should you say at this very moment? You've never heard of a Quirkless pro hero. Lying isn't your strong suit and you don't want to say anything that could ruin your friendship with Izuku Midoriya. 

"Ha! See? Even little bitch Yagi here thinks--"

"Yes." You interrupted, making everyone look at you. You looked back at Izuku and smiled at him. "Izuku Midoriya... has the qualities of a great hero!"

Izuku smiled up at you as he wiped away the tears in his eyes that threaten to fall while Bakugou scowled at the both of you. 

At the end of the school day, you were about to head back home when suddenly, Izuku stopped you. 

"Hikari, wait!"

You turned towards your green-eyed friend. 

"Did you...meant what you said earlier...?"

You smiled at your friend and nodded. Izuku gazes at you with admiration as you exited the classroom. While leaving the school, Bakugou follows you.

As you walk through an empty alley, you thought about Bakugou's treatment of Izuku. You didn't understand why he was always like that towards him? Something must've happened between them before you moved into their neighborhood and attended the same elementary school. 

"Hey, Hikari!"

You turned around and saw Bakugou walking towards you.

"Bakugou? What are you doing here?" You asked. You usually don't walk together anymore since your math skills improved.

"I want to talk to you." He replied.

You didn't know what he wanted to talk about, but suddenly slammed his hand against the wall, preventing you from escaping.

"Do you really think that Deku can become a hero without a Quirk?"

He stared at you intensely as he waited for your answer. Lying to Katsuki Bakugou is impossible. You didn't believe in Izuku either. You didn't lie about him having the qualities of a great hero, but Izuku was Quirkless, and in this superhuman society, that's something that is frowned upon.

You looked at Bakugou straight in the eyes, pushed him away from you, and crossed your arms.

"You heard me back in the classroom loud and clear! Why are you so hard on him?"

"It's his own fault for getting in my way." He kicks a random bottle with a strange liquid. "Someone's gotta teach that worthless nerd how the world really works. Don't you ever get tired of protecting him? I know you don't think that damn idiot can ever become a hero without a Quirk!"

You flinched at his words because they were true. You mentally cursed at yourself for not supporting your friend.

"Hey, girly." Bellowed a deep gurgling voice. "You look like you could be a useful skin suit."

You and Bakugou turned towards where that sinister voice was coming from. Your eyes widened in horror as you saw a sludge entity with eyes and a mouth approach you. 

"I'LL BE TAKING YOUR BODY!"

Before the sludge villian could latch itself onto you, Bakugou shoves you away from the villian and creates a explosion at him. The sludge villian dodges takes over Bakugou's body. 

"Bakugou!" You struggled back on to your feet and chased after the villian that took your friend. 

The sludge villian used Bakugou's Quirk to cause distruction fires in the shopping district. Since the villian took control of Bakugou's body he's also able to use his Explosion Quirk. 

"I can't believe I was thinking of going for that girl when I can have your Quirk!" Shouted the sludge villian, bursting with laughter. 

Inside the Sludge villian, you saw Bakugou. He was struggling to free himself from the sludge villian... and his eyes...they were pleading for help.

Without a second thought, you ran to save your friend. At the same time, Izuku ran to help, too. You both ignored the pro heroes that told you to stop. Izuku threw his backpack at the villian to distract him and the two of you acted to help Bakugou.

"What the hell? Why are you two here?" Bakugou asked when he got his mouth free.

"I dunno. My legs... They just started... Movong!" Izuku cried out as he clawed at the sludge villian. 

"Same goes for me!" You replied as you grabbed Bakugou's arm.

You and Bakugou fight sometimes and compete against eachother almost everyday, but you always stayed close no matter what. It's crazy, but... despite the insults and the mockery... you've had a crush on the hot-headed boy you're trying to save. He was a total jerk, and he was always so arrogant and prideful, but he protected you from the sludge villian. That could've been you in Bakugou's.... no.... Katsuki's place.

"Kacchan! We couldn't just stand by and watch you die!" Izuku whimpered with tears in his eyes.

"He's right." You added. "I want to save you Katsuki. Our lives wouldn't be the same without you..." You then spoke to the sludge villian. "All right, you sewer shit! You better let go of Katsuki now, or I'll burn you so badly you evaporate!" You activated your Quirk which caused your shoes and socks to burn away as flames erupted from your feet. 

"I'm done playing with you brats!" The sludge villian raised his hand to attack. 

The pro heroes rushed to save you, but the villian activated Katsuki's Quirk. You didn't feel the impact though. 

"I really am pathetic." Said a deep heroic voice you knew all too well.

You looked up and saw none other than your dad, All Might, who shielded you from the attack. 

"Da-- All Might...!" You gasped. 

"Young Midoriya, I told you the traits of what makes a champion, but I wasn't living up to my own ideal." All Might released himself from the sludge villian's grip and grabs Katsuki's arm. "Pros are always risking their lives! That's the true test of a hero!"

"Damn you, All Might!"

"Detroit...Smash!"

With one powerful punch, the sludge villian is blown away. He made sure to grab you and your friend so that you don't get blown away. It then started to rain and the people gaped in awe.

"Huh? It's raining."

"Don't tell me all that wind just now was..."

"Look at the clouds. They're moving!"

As the sky cleared up, the crowd of onlookers cheered for their No.1 Hero as he did his signature victory pose.

After that, the heroes collected all the scattered mounds of sludge, and the villian went into police custody where he belonged. You and Izuku got scolded by the heroes, big time, while Katsuki was praised for his bravery. You wanted to talk to your dad in private, but he was swarmed by interviewers. You didn't want to interrupt. You wanted to how your dad meet Izuku?

On your way home, you saw Katsuki ahead of you. You ran to catch up to him.

"Katsuki!"

The ash-blonde noticed you and frowned. 

"What do you want, Yagi?"

"I want to know if... you're okay..."

Katsuki's eyes widened, then his face shifted to anger.

"What...?!"

"Don't get an attitude with me! Who's fine after being taken by a villian?" You walked closer to ash-blonde. "I know that you're strong, but you're body was taken over by a villian... if it weren't for All Might... something terrible could've happened to you...!"

"You need to shut the hell up, now, Bitch, or--"

You grabbed Katsuki by the collar of his shirt before he could finish his threat.

"Shut up! I'm the reason why you were in that situation in the first place!" You yelled with tears in you eyes. "You went out of your way to protect me from that sludge freak! It's because of me... that could've.... I don't want to think about something so horrible...!"

Katsuki's POV

Yagi lossened her grip on my collar as she sobbed into my shirt. I was annoyed at her, but now I feel like I'm the one who did something wrong. Shit!

I reluctantly wrapped my arms around her. I can feel my damn self blushing. There better not be any fucking extras around.

"Shut the hell up." I said softly. "If you don't want to think about crap like that, then stop thinking about it. I'm not going to let some villian kill me so easily."

Yagi wrapped her arms around me. I think my heart just skipped a beat when she did that. This crying bitch is making me soft! First she makes me protect her from that sludge bastard, now this!? I wanna push her away from me before someone sees us! But... for now, I'll just hold on to her.
