Screech!
The sound of tyres echoed in the quiet night as the wind howled loudly as Pablo and his team approached the junkyard, the darkness of the night enveloped them like a thick, impenetrable cloak.
The headlights of their jeep cut through the gloom, casting long, distorted shadows across the piles of rusted metal and discarded machinery that littered the landscape.
The air was thick with the pungent stench of oil, gasoline, and decay. The sound of scurrying rodents and creaking metal filled the stillness of the night. The faint glow of a distant city cast an eerie orange glow over the horizon, but here in the junkyard, the darkness was absolute.
As they drove deeper into the maze of twisted metal and broken-down vehicles, the silence was broken only by the crunching of gravel and the occasional snap of a branch. Pablo's team was on high alert, scanning their surroundings for any sign of danger.
The rusted hulks of old cars and trucks loomed up out of the darkness like silent sentinels, their windows long since shattered and their tires flattened. Piles of discarded machinery were strewn about haphazardly, their sharp edges gleaming menacingly in the moonlight.
The junkyard seemed to go on forever, an endless maze of metal and decay. But somewhere in the heart of this labyrinth lay the prize that Pablo and his team were after – a rare piece of machinery that could make or break their mission.
With each passing moment, the tension mounted. The darkness seemed to close in around them, suffocating and oppressive. But Pablo and his team pressed on, driven by their determination and their need to succeed.
As they finally reached their destination, a sigh of relief escaped from their mouth. The jeep headlight flashed through the thick darkness and the heap of robot parts could be seen to no end.
And this heap of mountains of robot parts was why they were here in the first place. Thus, without further ado, the five came out of the jeep with a palpated heart. They looked at each other and saw the fear on each other's faces.
"What are we looking for….We can't stay here for too long…" Kaida said in a low voice but the hint of panic in her voice was audible enough for the others.
"Since we need robots… Where is the best place to find one." Pablo asked without looking at Kaida as he took his flashlight and walked toward the mountain of robots with an anticipated smile on his face.
"What are we looking for?" Isadora asked, following after him.
Even though Isadora was the most knowledgeable person apart from Pablo. She was still lost on why they came to a junkyard. However, since they had already tried their best to get a robot in the right way and everything was futile.
Perhaps, there might be a chance to find a usable robot here.
"We're looking for a complete fighter robot. It doesn't need to be working." He paused and looked at Isadora for a moment before turning to the others.
"Also, we need other body parts that you think we can use." He added before turning and journeying into the mountain of robot parts.
Meanwhile, Isadora couldn't believe what Pablo was trying to accomplish.
This is insane!
They cried in their hearts.
Even though they didn't believe Pablo could salvage a possible fighter robot from the junkyard. Nevertheless, they sprang to work and began to search in earnest.
Back in their new building, Isadora and the others looked at the heap of useless robot parts piling up like a small mountain in front of them with a bittersweet smiles on their faces.
How the hell are they going to make out a workable robot from this?
"What are you all doing? Let's get to work?" Pablo said in anticipation.
Sighed.
Left with no choice, the team began to work on the junk, trying to find a usable one. As for Pablo, he was working on 3-meter dead robots with full concentration. His hands danced back and forth as he threw away all the useless parts of the robots.
Huh!
The ray of sunlight passed through the window, illuminating the room, signaling the start of another beautiful day. But to the group inside the small room, it was a reminder, telling them they only have a day to the duel.
"We only have today?" Cedric said with a tired face.
The others were just exhausted to reply to Cedric as the big bag under their eyes showed their sleepless night. Their eyes were bloodshot, veins throbbing on their faces.
Constantly, they yawned sharply while some of them dozed off while looking at the only young man still working as if he was a machine.
"Can this…" Isadora looked at the ugly robot without any hint of it working and continued. "Is it going to be ready before tomorrow?"
"You don't have to worry about that." Pablo stopped and looked at the others and saw their exhausted faces and sighed. "You should all rest since none of you can help me."
Hearing this, Kaida had a bright smile on her face as she didn't wait for Pablo to finish his word before she left the room toward their makeshift bedroom.
Seeing this, Pablo didn't know whether to laugh or cry. He only shook his head and continued with his modification. As for the other, they stopped for a moment before leaving the room.
'System, optimized the robot'
[Optimizing]
Suddenly, various detail appeared inside Pablo's mind. It was in-depth details on the ugly-looking robot. It was so detailed that it showed the company that manufactured each part and the year that it was made.
Additionally, it shows various ways to bring the best out of the robot. It was like an upgrade to the robot. Seeing this, a bright smile appeared on Pablo's face with his heart racing.
[Host, do you want to learn the optimization sequence?]
'Yes.' Pablo responded in his head.
[Transferring knowledge.]
A slight pain assaulted Pablo but he gnashed his teeth and endured it. Besides, the pain only lasted for a moment before it disappeared.
Looking at the Quakvolt Robot sequence in his mind. Pablo shook his head with a bittersweet smile on his face. 'I would never have believed such a robot sequence existed if I did not see it myself.'
Even though he was shocked by the Quakvolt sequence, he knew his priorities. Thus, he began to work on the ugly robot with his top speed. Though he had the knowledge in his mind, it was not easy for him to accomplish it.
It took him another 24 hours for him to accomplish 10 percent of the Quakvolt robot sequence. Nevertheless, it was enough for the robot to fight.
Now, standing in front of him was an ugly robot painted in blue and red. But if any robot engineer saw the mechanic that made this robot function, their jaw would drop to the ground.
"Now, let's give the Vulture gang a surprise." He grinned with a tired face.
