Ellie
She had been very rude to River the last time he’d come to check on her, and she felt bad about it.
The moment River had left her room, Ellie had cringed at her behavior. Why did she have to be so ugly to him? Why did she have to be so stubborn?
The truth was, he cared about her, and she cared about him, too. So… she should just say that. She should just forgive him for misinterpreting what he saw and heard and recognize that everyone makes mistakes. It’s not like she was perfect after all.
But that was so hard! Telling someone she was sorry was never something she was good at. She’d been raised to be the proud leader of her pack, so saying she was sorry felt like admitting she wasn’t as strong as she thought she was. Granted, River had just said he was sorry to her, and it didn’t make him seem any less like a man. So why couldn’t she just tell him how she was feeling?
