River had called Patricia and asked her if she would mind coming over to their house in Ellie’s pack lands for dinner that night, trying to sound nonchalant. She was back in River’s village overseeing things while they were away, as she always did. While she was reluctant at first, she finally agreed. Patricia wasn’t fond of driving at night, so in order to get her to come, River had invited her to stay the night at their house.
