2.14: No fights in the coffee shop!

"Hey Kate, how are you doing? Want to grab a cup of coffee?"

Makoto kept contemplating what to say to Kate, spending the previous thirty minutes just walking around in circles. "Maybe if I try and assist them for the day…no, that would mean preoccupying her half the time. What if I ask her on a…NO, WE DO NOT ASK GIRLS ON A DATE! MAKOTO YOU IDIOT!!"

He kept having an identity crisis while all the citizens tried to avoid eye contact. "Damn you, Franco. This wouldn't have bothered me this much if you stayed single…"

"Are you trying to prove a point to him?"

"GAH!!"

Tedashii and the Kaname twins approached him. "What are you doing here, Makoto?"

"Tedashii? And your friends are-"

"Seto and Noriko Kaname." He said and shook thin air.

"Oh right, you're the new kids."

"Yeah, so…I see you are trying to make a move on my cousin."

"YOU DID NOT HEAR OR SEE ANYTHING!!"

WHOOSH!

They all hid once Eon turned to the window.

"You know, you guys are already close. Why are you so hesitant?"

"Like you will teach me about talking to women… aren't you currently starting your own family with Brittany?!"

"First off, NOTHING is going on between me and her. And secondly… you actually want to be with her." Makoto dropped the humor and stayed silent. "I don't know anything about talking to girls, but this is my family. So if I tell you, you're stressing for nothing…I mean it."

"*Sigh, it's not that easy for me, okay…"

Tedashii turned to Seto and smirked. "Hey~ Seto, are you thirsty?"

He blinked and turned to Tedashii. "I am?" Noriko pinched him, "AHH, yes! I am, in fact, thirsty."

"Me too; I wonder if there are any good coffee shops around here?"

Makoto shrieked. "…what are you doing?"

"Oh wait! Look over here, a coffee shop." He pointed at the store. "We could grab a cup of coffee for the day."

They began walking to the store, leaving Makoto behind. "Hey! Don't do this to me, Tedashii!!"

"CAPTAIN!!"

He turned and smiled at him. "DAMMIT, FINE! I'M COMING!"

DING!

The doorbell sounded as they made their way inside.

"Welcome to the-" Neo opened his eyes. "Tedashii? What are you guys doing here?"

"We wanted to get something to drink."

"Well, you came to the right place!" He welcomed them to the counter. "Just place your orders on the tab, and then I'll be on it."

Neo left with four tablets before them.

"Okay, so what are you guys having?" Tedashii asked.

"…what have you done?" Makoto was panicking. "I did not prepare what I would say to her."

"No need, it's just Kate."

"Easy for you to say; you don't have to build a mountain's worth of confidence to talk to someone."

"Exactly why I'm saying you have nothing to worry about."

"THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY BETTER!!"

"Oh… it's you."

Eon came with their orders. "I guess your coffee choice is just like your soul…black."

Makoto grinned at him, but Tedashii ignored them both. "Say, Eon. Where's Kate today?"

"Oh, she couldn't work since her guild had something planned today."

"…Wait, so she wasn't here this entire time?" Makoto asked.

"I speak English, you goof-brain. Hope you heard me the first time." He left to the store room.

"See? Now imagine if you spent all that time practicing outside for nothing." Tedashii smiled at him.

"I could have sworn she was by the window when we talked!"

"Hmm, maybe it was someone else, Mister Makoto," Noriko said as she took another sip of her milkshake.

"…How can she…"

"It's a long story." Tedashii patted him on the back.

"Man, I wasted my time today then." He laid down on his arms. "Guess I won't need to worry about seeing her…"

"Seeing who?"

"Huh"

Kate took a seat next to him. "Everything alright, Max?"

"…" He froze and began fluttering.

"Kate! I thought you were out with your guild today?" Tedashii scooted close to the both of them

"Yeah, we just came back. So I wanted us to get some drinks."

Tedashii hid behind him. "Did you say-"

"TEDASHII!!!"

BLAST!

Brittany blasted him on the ground while hugging him. "I didn't know you also liked the coffee at this hour~."

"B-Brittany…good to see you too." He said sarcastically.

"Aww, I knew you missed me…My Husband~!"

"I AM NOT YOUR HUSBAND!"

HAHAHAHA!

Everyone was laughing at their cat and dog fight on the ground.

"Hey! No fighting within the premises!"
