The Last Heroes: Warriors against the Sinful

An inevitable war broke out two thousand years ago in the Primal Region. Aliens, humans, and the 'special people' could not make amends. But peace was found at last the day one man stood between the three species. Later, the corrupted aliens and evil-doers devise a plan to out-smart this man. He died in the end, and the humans lost their home: Legon City, for 18 years. The 'special people' still live amongst the humans and have joined forces to retain the city! And these special people are known as...RONINS!

2.02: A Guild within a Guild.

*Five years ago; 15th Apprehension*

---

Two years had passed since Haruro was elected captain. He sat down in their hideout and skimmed through documents on recruits.

Knock! Knock!

"Come in." Lincoln entered with some tea for him. "You're a lifesaver, Linc. Thank you."

"It is my pleasure to aid you; you haven't shut your eyes since yesterday."

"Does it show?" He rubbed his eyes and felt the fatigue. "Okay, maybe I need to take a break…"

"You know it is not a race, Boss. Getting time to sleep will do you a lot of good."

"I know…but at this point, it's as if I'm failing to live up to Mr Skiros's name. We have yet to make an impact if we will become the top guild above Ryuko."

"Remember that she's been captain of both Black Bullets and Purple Hazels before officially joining them. It is not easy to outdo a captain with such on their belt."

"You got that right. Maybe we aren't the lucky bunch with any good prospects."

"Nobody catching your eye this year?" Lincoln sat and sorted the scattered files. "Nothing above 65, I see…"

Haruro sulked. "NOO, THEY CAN'T KEEP GIVING US NORMIES ALL THE TIME!"

"Don't be too hard on yourself. Keep in mind the apprehension you're assigned to is always in random selection."

"But then explain why do we not get even ONE 70?!"

Slip!

They gazed at the one file that fell. "I'll get it for you, Boss." Lincoln held it in his hand as it caught his attention. "Well, we can agree your prayers were answered."

"If you are about to tell me we were given a 69.99, then that's not-"

"An 80."

"…" He jumped off his seat and hugged Lincoln. "HAHA, WE GOT A PROSPECT!!! CALL KENCHIN AND ASK HIM TO BRING HIM RIGHT NOW!!!"

***

BOOM!!

Another blast echoed as Haruro sat there in utter disappointment. "Ah…right, another Nakamorian…"

Uraka was fighting everyone who was in his sight since one of them stared at him badly. "ONE SIGHT OF BREATH AND I WILL KILL ALL OF YOU!!"

Clap! Clap! Clap!

He slowly turned toward the sound of sarcastic clapping. "My, you really are strong for an 80-rated. You will fit in just right," Haruro said.

"And who the hell are you?" Uraka dragged his giant armament forward.

"I see you are not informed about this; I am the captain of the place you're setting foot in: Haruro Motsubi."

"Finally, I know who to take down to take this place over!"

BWOOSH!

Lincoln started building spiritas as Uraka showed no respect to Haruro.

"Haha… calm down, Lincoln, I will handle this."

"As you wish, boss…" He powered down and stepped back.

"Okay, Uraka Nakamura. How do you want to-"

~FIRE PROWESS: STRIKE ONE!!

BOOM!!

He caught Haruro in a surprise attack that blew the other volunteers away. "Pfft, of course you would get one-clapped."

"True…that really did get me."

!!!

They were all surprised to see that Haruro took the attack head-on. Without thinking of guarding it whatsoever, he stood there with burn bruises on his arms and chest. "Well, you struck me without even thinking of having it fair."

"…why didn't you fight back? Are you pitying me?!" Uraka raged on.

"There is no reason to pity someone as strong as you, but I understand the problem." He healed himself instantly and approached Uraka. "You have applied at literally every single guild; they see that you can't be controlled, so they reject your application. You have eight choices, and we were your last…you know what this means if I reject you?"

"…" He dropped his weapon.

"That's better, but I'll have to reject you nonetheless…ending your chances as a member of the quarts." Everyone felt the sadness and fear in his eyes. "...Because I want you to begin your guild."

"Huh?" Uraka was confused. "But you need a minimum of 6 people to-"

"I already knew that." Haruro held a few documents in his hand. "Not to be rude, but I saw way too many Nakamorians sign up to be a part of us. Seeing as you're the strongest, why not nurture them into your own?"

Uraka could not utter a word, gazing into the respect Haruro laid on him. "I…"

"Hm?"

"I will build this guild from scratch!! And you will see how it feels to be below me!"

"COME ON DUDE, HE'S LITERALLY BEING NICE!!"

"THIS GUY IS FULL OF HIMSELF!!"

"THAT'S IT, HE'S PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE!"

The whole room was against Uraka's bantering, but that only left a smile on Haruro's face. "I'm looking forward to that, my new rival."

"YEAH!! NAKAMORIANS!!"

STAND!!

All eight of them emerged from the crowd and stood beside him. "WATCH OUT, RONIN WORLD, THE RED RANGERS HAVE COME TO TAKE THE TOP SPOT IN THE WORLD!!!"
