1.49: The Verbis Diablo Effect

A few hours passed as all the guilds returned to Legon City. Unfortunately for The Elite Force, some humans were not okay with their statement. So, it was up to them to build permanent bonds with everyone.

They all celebrated at Kate and Eon's coffee shop after the Cassoules finished repairing it.

"Thank goodness we managed to clean up the place. All the ice and bodies REALLY gave us some heavy duty to do." One of the constructors said. "But it is good as new Mister Eon."

"Thank you for your services," Eon responded, then declared the shop available.

Franco was sitting with Yuro and Adrian by the counter, Rin and Ado watched the citizens from the window, and Leah was helping Kate out with the storage room.

"Thank you for your help, Lee," Kate said.

"Lee… we're already giving nicknames? Alright, hahaha."

"So, tell me~, how does being the only girl in an all-boy guild feel?"

Leah laughed at the face she was making. "Ha! Don't even think like that. They are all like brothers to me."

"What about Tedashii? Huuuuhhh?"

Leah spat out her drink and then shook her head. "W-WHAT ABOUT HIM?!"

"Lee, Adrian told me he was staring at you non-stop at the apprehension. You think he likes you-"

"Oh, please. There is no way I would ever fall for Tedashii. He is also a Fushigiri, so it would feel like dating my cousin…" Leah stopped talking and stared in her glass. "Besides…I haven't moved on from my ex..."

Eon was standing outside with Tedashii and Suzuki.

"This is a lively bunch you got here, Ted," Eon said.

"What more can I ask for? These guys are no longer my friends; they are family, too."

Then he realized that he never inducted Suzuki into the Elite Force. "Oh yeah! Su, I noticed that you weren't there at the hospital. Why don't you join our guild?"

But Suzuki nodded his head without any second thought. Tedashii and Eon were both surprised by his response, and he hummed at Tedashii while making hand gestures.

"Wait, you already have a team?!" They ask.

Eon thought to himself. "How did I understand that?"

While trying to put the pieces together, Tedashii kept talking to Suzuki. "Well…I guess this is goodbye." 

Suzuki then nodded his head again.

"We'll see each other again? And soon?! AWESOME!!"

He jumped up to hug Tedashii and Eon. "Oh, guess I get one too."

"It was good, Su. Don't forget me in the long run, okay?"

He smiled and bid farewell to the other members. But before leaving, he turned back, held his fist towards them, and dropped his band. They all smiled and held theirs in his direction. With that, Suzuki left the Elite Force.

Sir Williams was talking with Martin in the corridor.

"I don't know what approach to take regarding this situation," Martin said.

"What do you mean you don't know?!! Gaiyato is the reason my association with the AR has been ruined!! He has to go!"

"Gaiyato broke his contract…that I agree. But keep in mind that he is like the face of-"

"HE COULD BE THE FACE OF GOD FOR ALL I CARE! Because of him, I am now a target of the enemies!!"

"Gaiyato can protect you from them, boss. Think about it: if you fire the strongest ronin in the world, who is winning other than them."

"CLEARLY not us because our president has cotton for balls. As soft as it gets, hu Ha!" 

Gaiyato appeared behind Williams.

"I thought I said wait in my office-" 

"YOU took too long, so I let myself out. But it looks like the meeting has started without me."

"Gaiyato, what are you doing here?" Martin asked.

"Oh? I'm supposed to ask you that question, Martin."

"You can't follow a simple order as staying put?"

"I just want you to get to the point! What in the right mind will cause you to fire me? You must be witless to do something like that. Besides, even if you did that, the only reason the enemies don't attack is because who would want to piece of me?" Gaiyato laid all his cards on the table, for he was beyond confident of his stay. "Today is our contract extension day. Tell the mailman to deliver it right at my door. If that is all, gentlemen, I will celebrate with my family. Thank you!"

And without another second wasted, Gaiyato left the office. Sir Williams looked like he would blow a fuse but then paused and looked at Martin.

 "Martin, I've made up my mind."

Litch and Kuma were sitting on the tallest building in Legon City. They were staring at the change from a deserted to a very occupied city.

"Man. It hasn't even been a month, and the city is already swarming with humans again." Kuma said.

"I don't mind about that, so long as this does not hinder my plan," Litch said as he stood up and put his mask back on.

"Hmm? What do we have here?"

Litch and Kuma looked down and saw Izanami and her family exit the city hospital. "Izanami-"

GRAB!!

Kuma held onto Litch's shoulder before he dived down. "Not a good idea; you're better off watching than interfering, Litch."

He sat down again. But Litch was infuriated when he saw Giyora walk out as well. "Alright, but can you at least listen to what they're saying?" He requested.

So, Kuma sighed and used his Beast Prowess to eave-drop.

Izanami was crying when she found out Konami had gone missing.

"Izanami, it will be alright. We will find her." Giyora said, trying to comfort her. But she was still saddened by this turn of events since there was no news on Tedashii, and now Konami too.

Makoto came out as well with a young girl by your side.

"Your story doesn't make any sense…" She said.

"But yes, that is the truth. You were shot accidentally by me during the apprehension. Luckily, my sister managed to revive you."

The girl looked up and saw Yuri ahead.

"BIG SIS!! MOM, DAD!!"

She ran towards them as fast as she could. Izanami didn't even have time to look up and got hugged by a stranger.

She picked the girl up and saw that it was Konami. "KONAMI!! SWEETY, YOU SCARED THE DEATH OUT OF…!!"

Izanami had a good look at her now.

"Uhm, what happened to you…your hair is white, and your-"

"WHAAAA!!!!" Yuri finally looked at her inflated chest.

Giyora ran and grabbed Makoto on his coat. "WHAT KIND OF PLASTIC SURGERY HAVE YOU DONE TO MY KONAMIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!" He yelled out while shedding tears.

"HEY, LET ME GO! I'll explain what happened.

…

Makoto finished off by telling the whole story to her family. "And that is why we had to use Verbis Diablo to revive her. My sister also told me about the side effects of doing this, but she seemed to remember everything while testing her."

"That does not explain WHY SHE SUDDENLY HAS BIGGER BOOBS!!" Yuri shouted.

"Ye-about that. I did nothing to her; she was age-skipped to the same age as my captain. She's also 15 years old now…but I guess she kept her height."

RING RING!!

Makoto's phone began to ring. "Franco. What's up?"

"Yo, Max. I told Tedashii that you went over to go and fetch Konami, but he was too eager to wait. So he is on his way there."

"Oh, alright, sure. What are you guys up to in the meantime?"

"You mean what am I UP TO IN THE MEANTIME?!! They approved of the base, so I'LL GIVE IT A GOOD TASTE OF FRANCO. Come back with everyone else when you are done; here is our NEW HOME'S address."

*Beep

"OH, sorry. I wanted to ask, what happened to Tedashii?!" Izanami asked.

"Well, you can ask him that yourself-"

"MOM!! DAD!! YURI!!"

A shadow appeared above them. It was Tedashii who leaped off from one of the buildings.

TAP!! 

He landed on his hands and saw the world in inverse.

"Huh?"

He squeezed his eyes together to see the fifth person with them. He stood up to his feet, and tears ran down his face. "C-Coco? KONAMI!!!!"

He ran to her and lifted her from the ground. He spun multiple times until he fell to his back. "YOU'RE OKAY! THANK GOODNESS! I was so worried about you-" 

Tedashii then saw her hair and chest. "…what happened to your…EVERYTHING?!" Tedashii kept laughing. "Well, it doesn't matter! Soon, you will be able to join our guild, and then we can both follow our dream AND BECOME LAST HEROES!"

Litch and Kuma gasped at what Tedashii said.

"Call me crazy…but did he say last heroes?" Kuma asked as he realized Tedashii still remembered what he had told him.

Litch just stayed quiet and kept watching. Konami then began to frown at Tedashii.

"Hey…Coco, is everything alright?" Izanami asked.

"Mom, I'm glad everyone is happy that I'm okay. But…"

She held her head as if she was getting dizzy. Yuri then caught her in time. "Who…is this guy with the red hair?"

Tedashii's smile froze in place; then everything went dark.
