The Last Heroes: Warriors against the Sinful

An inevitable war broke out two thousand years ago in the Primal Region. Aliens, humans, and the 'special people' could not make amends. But peace was found at last the day one man stood between the three species. Later, the corrupted aliens and evil-doers devise a plan to out-smart this man. He died in the end, and the humans lost their home: Legon City, for 18 years. The 'special people' still live amongst the humans and have joined forces to retain the city! And these special people are known as...RONINS!

1.17: The Masked man!

Rico kept being repelled by the barrier until he forced his way out of the Central district. Kim Tam kept running to the edge of the central District until he picked a brick up from the floor. ("I'm betting my life on this Gamble!") He cried to himself.

He then held the brick in front of him right before the barrier repelled him. And after a traumatic glace, he was through the border. "Hahahaha, so that is the gamble of this trick?"

Rico and Destiny both came near him from outside the barrier.

"Kim Tam, sorry I failed to stay in the barrier." She said.

"WAIT, HOW ARE YOU THROUGH IT THOUGH?!" Rico asked with surprise.

"It seems like the barrier was set not to affect buildings. If they did so, he would turn the entire Central district to dust. And with that, if you hold on to a brick, you'll be detected as untouchable."

"Is that so?" A mysterious voice came from behind them.

"!!!"

A man approached them. He had a mask and very dark red hair, with the clothing of a magician. He slowly walked past Rico and Destiny and tried to touch the barrier.

BZZT!!

It repelled his arm away as he took a few steps back. "It looks like one of you was there when the barrier expanded. Once the creator makes it reaches its peak, you can't re-enter anymore. And if you are in, you can't go out. That's a smart plan to attack enemies inside a certain place."

They all looked at him as he kept talking about the barrier. Rico and Destiny didn't know if they should attack him, for they were unsure if he was part of Hajiman. Then he stared right into Kim Tam's eyes.

"Whoa there, buddy, what's the big deal? Who are you anyway?"

SWITCHI!

BVOOPP!!

A blink is all that Kim Tam needed to find himself on the other side with Rico and Destiny. He didn't get a clue of what had happened before him.

"What?! How did you…"

"Firstly, this is my prowess, so don't be so surprised."

Kim Tam heard that; the first thing that came to mind was Motoroshi.

"WAIT! You! That speech pattern sounds familiar. Why do you talk like Motoroshi?!"

The man took off his mask and turned around. Destiny fell to the ground as she recognized him, and Rico called out to help her get a grip on herself. Kim Tam looked back and noticed the man was already walking away. "Better report to your boss; you don't want to get on his bad side."

Kim Tam never had any failed missions under his records, so they trusted him to seize and assure the ownership of their shares of Legon City. He hesitantly took out his communicator and pressed the red button on the side. "…Kim tam re…porting."

The voice of a man spoke back to him.

"Kim Tam didn't think you would have done the job so fast. Are you guys on your way back?"

"I…I have been exiled from the Central district-"

"Come again?"

"Trust me, I didn't do it intentionally! Hajiman used that red barrier, and it exiled me and the others! I was in the-"

"So all of the AR members are out?"

"…I…I'm sorry Seargent…"

His boss then passed the phone to someone else, and Kim Tam's heart stopped beating when he heard it.

"Kim tam. What happened?"

"Err, head Lieutenant… please, I was inside the barrier! It seems like people inside buildings or in contact with any brick-like material stay inside. Then some man came and teleported me to the outside. I don't know who he was, but-"

"Teleport, you say? Who else is left inside besides you three?"

"You guys, Dazai and Yaryura."

"Alright then, don't worry, Kim Tam. You did your best. I'll do any required star count. But if the mission goes bad regardless, you might have a heavy price to pay."

Kim Tam heard the communicator get destroyed. He took a deep breath and stared at the barrier with crossed fingers. "Motherf*cker..."
