The Last Heroes: Warriors against the Sinful

An inevitable war broke out two thousand years ago in the Primal Region. Aliens, humans, and the 'special people' could not make amends. But peace was found at last the day one man stood between the three species. Later, the corrupted aliens and evil-doers devise a plan to out-smart this man. He died in the end, and the humans lost their home: Legon City, for 18 years. The 'special people' still live amongst the humans and have joined forces to retain the city! And these special people are known as...RONINS!

ROOAAARR!!!!!

SLASH!!!!

Noriko came running down the streets while being attacked by demoniacs nonstop. She could not hear them, spot their distance, or how close they were. She relied solely on dodging any that came in front of her.

CRASH!!

Their bloodthirst was all she felt every time she looked back.

"Come on, boys! No witnesses left alive!"

A woman was riding one of the demoniacs as they chased after her. With one of her claws pierced into its neck, she had complete control of its movements.

"PANTHERS!"

A shout alerted her from one of the buildings. "What do you want, number 2?"

A bald man with cobwebs all over his clothes crawled out the window. "What kind of joke are you playing here?! You have to be watching the third Quarts; I'm in charge of the 10th!"

"My dogs told me that there's a ronin running around the city; I just had to see it myself."

"There's food??" He couldn't stop the drool from his mouth after hearing such news. "I WANT IT!"

DASH!!

Within a blink of an eye, he vanished towards Noriko's location. Felicia sat down and began grumbling. "Yeah, thank you for finding her Panthers?"

***

The demoniacs could not find any way to catch up to her. Although blind, her sense of sight was far superior to anyone. She reacts the moment a slight movement occurs before her.

"FOOD!!"

BOOM!!

Noriko jumped out of the way once she saw the shadow above her.

"A little girl? This is the sacrifice of the day…what a disappointment! So how do you want to die?"

Noriko was unfazed by his dubious appearance and did not hear a single word he said. All that was on her mind was pudding for the first time.

"…Are you deaf? I asked how you wanted to-"

WOOSH!!

Off she went, running at her full speed. "WHA…COME BACK HERE!!"

SPEW!!

He fired webs onto the buildings and swung onto them; with his gripped fingers, he chased her from the sides. "YOU'RE GOING TO DIE, GIRL!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So, why do you think he asked for a sword." One of the members asked Skiros.

"He's probably going to kill himself, HA!"

They kept laughing and walked away, and that left Haruro uncomfortable.

"Uhm, Seto…you won't kill yourself, right?" He asked.

"Of course not! That would make Noriko sad once she comes back."

Arial held him close. "I'm sorry, Seto, but nobody has ever left the Central region alive. Especially knowing that it has a high population of villains and demoniacs, it's just too dangerous for her."

Seto turned his head to her and smiled. "That's what someone who doesn't know her would say."

She was confused, and Haruro was shocked. "Seto, she's in danger as we speak! It's been 20 minutes of her just running, don't you think they'd-"

"That word is bad, Haruro. Don't wish death on someone who still lives."

"…No, that's not what I meant."

Shh!

Seto covered his mouth and told them to join their mom. Sayori was a few blocks away from the guild, still frustrated with the thought of Noriko.

"Mom?"

She turned to him, but no sense of joy was shown. "Seto dear…what are we going to do? I can't heal someone without spiritas," she said.

"Noriko has prowesses too, isn't that the same thing?"

"No, son, prowess can only be sensed once used. Spiritas is what constantly flows within a ronin. You and Noriko don't have either, at this rate…she might be hiding for dear life…"

Seto could feel the pain in her voice, so he grabbed every part of her face until he could wipe her tears. "Mom, I do have a prowess."

They all stared at him, Haruro laughed, and Arial shook her head.

"Seto, you were never born with sight. And you've never mentioned this to me before! If you have one, how do you use it without seeing?"

He smiled and grabbed the sword. "Exactly why I asked for this!"

"You're not thinking of going to save her…right?!" Haruro asked worryingly.

"I won't save her, but Mister Gaiyato will!"

"And how would he know that she's in danger?" Arial asked.

"Watch this."

He walked out to the guild and called out Skiros. "CAPTAIN!"

With a calm smile, he walked out of the primary vehicle. "What is it? Do you want to follow her?! HAHAHA!!" The whole guild laughed with their captain. "Forget it, kid. She's probably still holding the flare in the mouth of those monsters by now; give Up!"

"No, she's still alive…"

Skiros could not believe his confidence. "Do you hear yourself?! Your sister is in the most dangerous place in the world!! What makes you dense to think she's still alive?!"

Seto pulled out the sword, and everyone was on their guard.

"Relax, I won't kill the captain. He promised Noriko some pudding, so I want him to serve it to her in person."

Murmuring spread around the place as Skiros stopped smiling. "Okay, so what is the sword for?"

Seto began shuffling his feet on the ground to clear some of the tar off the old road, then sat down and started drawing with it. They all came closer to see his intention, and he drew very well by surprise.

"Alright, so this is what is going to transpire…"
