0.20: Rebirth

Gaiyato was heading to HQ before he spotted Lennox in the crowd. "LENNOX!!!"

"Me?" He turned to him.

"You left me stranded there while you caused a scene?! REALLY?!!"

He scratched his head. "I did? What's the harm there?"

"Your position in this team you want to join would have been in jeopardy…" Gaiyato gave up trying to reason with him. "Anyways, what did they say about your application?"

"So far, it is still in revision, but the vice told me to wait for a while until he-"

"He's here."

The captain and Vice-captain arrived at HQ. "It looks like we have a lot of recruits this year…welcome to you all. I am Williams Pluto, son of the current Rebirth Guild captain Williams Neptune."

An unidentified ronin stood next to him, but everyone avoided eye contact. "This is the soon-to-be Vice Captain Azahii. He will be in charge of your applications and any formalities that need to be attended to, so please take a seat and wait your turn."

Most of the ronins could feel the detestation from his cold-blue eyes. This face only had an expression of disapproval with a cigar in his mouth.

"Alright, maggots… let's begin." Azahii picked up the packet of applications and skimmed through all of them. "Martin Destiny, 12 years old."

He lowered the page and saw a boy standing with his glasses covering his stressed eyes.

"Yes, sir."

"Is this some kind of joke?" Azahii asked.

"N-no Sir…I want to join the Rebirth guild!"

"What is your motivation?"

Martin took off his shades and stared into Azahii's eyes. "To…avenge my clan and save my cousin."

He closed his eyes and dropped the application in the approval file. "Then do just that, and don't you dare fail…maggot. Welcome."

"Y-yes!"

"Lennox Or…wait, Lennox?" Azahii looked up.

"Good to see you again, Auz."

"I thought you were already in the Purple Hazel guild?"

"Yeah, but after five years of being the only survivor in that place…I kind of want to lay low for a while." He smiled.

"I see; well, you were a companion of my brother. So welcome...I guess…" Lennox thanked him and winked before he left. "…moron…hm?"

Before he looked at the following file, Gaiyato caught his attention. "You there."

"Huh?" Gaiyato turned around. "Yes?"

"Are you here to join the guild?" Azahii asked.

"And give up the right to fight? Hell no-"

"WE ARE STILL CONSIDERING IT!" Miku jumped in front of him before he could say another word.

"Miku? Where did you-"

"So, Vice-Captain of Rebirth,"

"Please, call me Azahii." He said as he stared into her eyes.

"Oh…wow, alright Aza-hii…hehe…"

Gaiyato spaced out as he got caught in the middle of the conversion. ("Oh, my word…THIS F*CKER IS FLIRTING WITH MY WIFE!!) Well, AZA-HII, let me remind you that MIKU HERE is my WIFE!"

"…girlfriend-"

"WIFE!" Gaiyato corrected her. "So, if there's anything to be said, say it...TO ME!"

"So, she's your girl? Good then, that could change-"

BOOM!!!!

Gaiyato shot Azahii with a wind bullet from close range, sending him sliding away. "I don't think that's possible…don't forget, I can kill you in an instant."

 Azahii removed his coat and summoned his armament. "Alright, let's see if you can. I'll give you 30 seconds…try hit me."

"Heh, that's usually my line…very well. I'll end this now."

BWOOSH!!

Gaiyato charged up all his spiritas and prepared a one-hit blow. "Seek not the good in external things; seek it in yourselves."

"!!! Oh no! Gaiyato, NOT THAT HERE!"

Lennox tried to get close to him, but the spiritas pressure blew him and everyone around away. "NOOO!!"

("He's trying to kill me?") Azahii did not budge at all and just took his stance. "Rage Release…"

"Hakuraa: Blue…"

Suddenly, Gaiyato felt something eerie in his sight. "What…is this?"

He felt the spiritas of someone being chased by monsters. "…dammit…"

BWOOSH!

He turned back to normal and summoned a portal. "I've got somewhere to be…but this is far from over."

VIP!

Off he went without a single trace left of him. All the people regrouped and tried to tidy the place.

"Azahii!" Williams came running down the stairs. "I saw the lights from inside; what was happening here?"

He kept staring towards the last place he saw Gaiyato, then went to sit back at the table. "Nothing; I happen to have missed a perfect combatant. Miku, here's our card. Welcome to Rebirth."

"…huh, WHAT?! ME?? I-YOU…BUT GAIYATO-"

"Don't be foolish; I would never go for another man's girlfriend. This was just to see if what I felt was legit."

"Oh…" Miku felt a bit unappreciated, but she let it slide. "So? What did you find out?"

"Gaiyato is a strong Ronin…that's it." He said and began picking up the applications. ("But that maggot…could kill everyone easily,")
