Lived To Serve

THIRD PERSON

"My chief, ever since the late King Saron has left us to the undying lands...we have not yet decided on who would ascend the throne of Andromeda."

The pot-bellied chief thought for a while and reasoned carefully about the sayings of the White Wizard with many scars on his face and body. It was once rumored to be the scars of the Seven Princes of Hell he wrestled with while keeping their demonic activities at bay in Andromeda for good.

Though it was a long time ago when he was still young and agile. He believed it to be a good deed and was granted a position among the royal chiefs in the palace by the late King Saron himself.

"Yes, I know Elys. We need someone who is young and sensible and not as reckless as the late King was. We need someone vast with knowledge and blessed with wisdom. Someone who can manage the kingdom very well. But... unfortunately for us, the late King has many daughters to be a burden to us and no heir to lead on after him." The pot-bellied chief pointed out.

"Perhaps...I don't know, we should provide an heir for Andromeda as soon as possible?"

"I think so too. You're right Marcus, but we are still working on it."

"We need royal blood." Elys rose to his feet and stood in front of Marcus and the fat chief, Illinois.

"But where are we going to find that royal blood from?" Marcus demanded with a worried look on his bleached face.

"It is surely a foolish thought to think that it's wise to let another royal blood rule over Andromeda. It is a curse, and it has never been done before in the history of kings and coronations!" If they can't announce who is worthy enough to claim the throne, then they would have to make a king out of the peasants born in Andromeda. No foreigner or some other royal blood shall sit on the throne. And none of the late king's daughter's heads can bear the burden of wearing the crown. Elys concluded silently.

"Should we now consider a mere commoner to rule over her?" Marcus asked.

"Dis-gusting." Elys spat out and went over to the window to gaze outside. The Midian traders arrived, and more slaves to sell to the royal family. But when the royal wizard got to one of the many windows of the hall and observed, a lot of knights trying to get a hold of someone that has refused to submit to his newly found fate of being a slave to the royal family.

"There seems to be some commotion outside with the knights and one of the shipped slaves, Illinois."

Illinois frowned and rose to his feet to see what was going on and Elys and Marcus followed behind him. When they arrived at the large space of land outside the castle walls, the Lord of the Knights, Perseus ran towards them and bowed.

"Perseus, what the hell is going on? And who is that madman refusing to be bound to the chains of slavery?" Illinois fumed.

"I don't know yet, My Lord. But I suggest you talk to the Chief of the Midian traders to find out more about him. He is part of the newly delivered slaves shipped in from Avalore last night. He is very wild and difficult to tame." The armored knight explained.

Illinois was appalled by this. Hard to tame? What kind of beast did the Midian traders deliver to them to be royal slaves? If they can't tame him on arrival, then how in the world would they force him to serve them throughout his time on Earth? He wondered.

His eyes narrowed with suspicion at the young man tackling and tearing apart the knights after him with his bare hands.

He was stronger than all the men they recruited to guard Andromeda with their lives. He has long, raven hair that harassed the soil. No woman on earth should have such long and luxurious hair as his, which left everyone in awe of his name. His face looked more feminine than masculine. Or you could say a mixture of both.

His eyes were blue while reflecting a faint mirror of red in them. They shone brightly and framed his perfectly molded features.

Who is this ravishing God? They were all astonished. Or..."Demon." Elys spoke, shocking all of them with his absurd proclamation.

"He is a demon." He continued, "Do not be deceived by his bewitching looks and appearance. He is extremely dangerous and a product of misery."

"Nonsense, Elys. There are no such things as ridiculous as the existence of demons, witches, or ferries. They are all fiction."

"Do my hideous scars not prove enough of their existence to you adamant brains?"

"It's just one bad luck stretch mark or an animal attack. Maybe during one of your deep sleep meditations in the forest or something. There are no such things as demons. Please, do not create unnecessarily fear in the hearts of the people, Elys."

"Alright then, Illinois. Have it your way. Don't say I didn't warn you when it's on doomsday. I'm off to prepare some rituals to protect myself from any form of demonic attack...Good day, and have fun while making a slave out of a demon." And he strode off.

"When would this palace be delivered from crazy wizards for God's sake!" Illinois shook his head and called Perseus again.

"Yes, My lord," Perseus answered quickly.

"I would like to have a word with the leader of this trading system as soon as possible." The fat chief said.

"As you wish, My lord."

"So, since when did we request for beasts as castle slaves, Trojan?"

"It depends Illinois. As they say from where I came from, the one that boils the most serves the most."

"That doesn't look human at all." Illinois cried out.

"Which area? Is it his looks or strength?"

"Everything! I can't bring that thing to live amongst us and under the same roof! I need a replacement for him quick!"

"If you're ready to wait for two more years, then I'll be ready to find you a replacement for him," Trojan said while petting his Tiger. The skin of the Tiger complemented his dress and the huge turban on his head. And don't forget his intimidating looks masked by a heavy mascara on his eyelids, making his looks darker and deadly to gaze upon.

His small tent, which also stands for his office is decorated with beautiful weapons of war. And strange objects for sacrifices. That includes bones and skulls and different paintings of strange, forbidden, nude creatures from Hell. And an image in the likeness of a horned goat with a humanoid shape below its neck stood haughtily behind the leader of the Midian traders.

Illinois was shocked and short of words. "Two years? For a replacement?! That's too long!"

"You are wasting my time, dear Chief. Do you still want a replacement or not?"

Illinois could not believe his words. He eyed Trojan and, "Why are you always this cold and resentful?"

"And why are you so promiscuous and impatient?" Trojan returned.

Illinois became silent at the word promiscuous. The feeling of guilt overwhelmed him so much.

"A liar, betrayer, and a lover of woman. Lord Xtra despises sinners like you. And that's why you are not always favored." He stated while pointing at the statuette over his shoulders.

"Two years or you'll have to tame the beast to be your slave," Trojan stated, his expression fixed and not willing to compromise with Illinois.

Illinois hissed.

"It's hard to find men to be castle slaves nowadays," Trojan added.

"Speaking of sins, who is more sinful between me and you? And who is more justified between me and you in the eyes of your...God? A promiscuous man or a human trafficker?"

"I traffic for a purpose and you fulfill the lust of the flesh and selfish desires with carnal lust. I'm sure Lord Xtra would pardon me because I bring them here for work and to serve mankind...and not the other way around. Also, believe me when I say that I gain nothing from this."

The Tiger snarled at Illinois.

"So what have you decided on, Lord Illinois?"

"Why don't we make a deal instead?"

Trojan became silent. As if expecting such from him one way or the other.

"If I'm not able to tame that beast within six months, seven weeks, and on the sixth day...Then I'll come for my replacement. That means that I won't have to wait so long for a replacement. Do I have your word, Trojan?"

Trojan smiled at impatient Chief Illinois. "Deal."

They shook each other's hands briefly before Illinois stood up to leave his tent.

"Also, My deepest condolences to the entire royal family on the passing away of the late King Saron."

Illinois glared at Trojan before leaving his tent. Nothing annoys him the most than false humility.
