Elvina

"It's too high." Elvina was looking down the window which she was about to jump out of. She planned to run away but her fear of heights and snapping her neck off held her back.

"God, what do I do?" She paced around the room panicked, looking for a way out of the mess she was in.

In the moment of her distress, the door swung open and a man walked in. His face was barely visible under the light but that didn't stop Elvina from stepping back in fear. She didn't expect him to arrive so soon.

Ignoring her presence, the man walked up to the bed and just slumped on it like a sack. "I shouldn't have drank that much." He groaned.

'Should I walk out the door? He's too drunk to notice me anyway... Oh, what do I do?' Elvina wondered as she stared at the man passed out on the bed.

Deciding to give it a shot, Elvina tried tiptoeing out of the room quietly but to her dismay, the man noticed her. "Where do you think you're going?"

Her heart stopped short the moment she heard his voice. "I'm doomed." She whispered.

"Come- come here little one." The man was too drunk to form a proper sentence.

With no other choice, Elvina steeled herself and took slow steps toward the man who was already staring at her with pure lust.

"Sit." He patted to the space beside him, urging Elvina to sit there. "Mmm, you have soft thighs..." His face was buried in her thighs as he lay down. "Daisies... you smell like daisies." He sounded quite nostalgic as he said those words.

That was when Elvina remembered her body was massaged with daisy ointments and to her dismay, the man seemed to love the smell of daisies.

She remained silent as her body stiffened each time the man's breath reached her thighs. It was uncomfortable and unbearable.

The weight he placed on her was too heavy to allow her to move even if she wanted to run out of there. She felt trapped and her heart raced at the thought of the man deflowering her, a man she didn't know and wasn't married to.

Just then, one of the man's hands trailed inside her dress to her inner thigh while his other hand held her in place.

"Please...stop." She begged as tears started running down her cheeks.

As if deaf to her pleads, the man's hands trailed further inside and the moment he reached her honeypot, he pushed her to the bed and started kissing her chest despite being drunk.

Elvina snapped and pushed him away, crawling backward on the bed in fear. "Don't, please don't touch me... I beg you." She begged and cried hysterically feeling like her life was about to end.

Right then, the darkness in the man's eyes cleared as if her pleading made him sober. "I- I didn't mean to harm you...Argh!" He pulled his hair and yelled in pain as he rolled on the bed.

Elvina stared at him in shock, he looked like he was hurting but she couldn't dwell on that. Seeing it as an opportunity, she ignored his cries and ran to the door before he could get a hold of her and do something worse.

She was afraid of him.

Before she could open the door, someone from the outside opened it and Lynda stepped inside.

"Elvina, why are you- never mind that." She turned to the groaning man on the bed and bowed slightly to him. "Lord, Mikael, the king has requested that Elvina be sent to the palace this night after him. I'm sorry, but we'll have to take your mistress from you."

Elvina and Mikael were shocked by her words, especially Elvina, who had never met the king and wondered why he was asking for her.

'Oh no, this is bad, very bad.' She panicked inwardly, thinking the king also wanted her as his mistress.

Noticing Elvina's distress, Lynda turned to face her. "I don't know why the king asked for you but I do know that we can't disobey his orders so head back to your room, pack your things, and meet me at the main hall as soon as possible...one more thing, you should know that Maeve is also with him." Lynda didn't bother hiding the hostility and jealousy in her voice.

"Maeve?! Is she alright? Did something happen?" Elvina asked question after question, fearing for her only friend.

"Stop asking silly questions and go do what I asked you to." Lynda snapped.

Wasting no time, Elvina rushed out of the room as far away from Mikael as she could go. She was glad Lynda arrived just in time to save her from his hold.

She was glad to have escaped but was still extremely worried about Maeve, especially after hearing she was with the king. "Please be alright." She prayed as she rushed back to the room to pack.

Elvina took the only thing she had with her, a photo of her and her brother, and a cloak. As she was about to leave, she took notice of the journal under Maeve's pillow, she had seen her hold it close to her many times since they met so she guessed it was important. She grabbed it too and dashed to the main hall but Lynda had not yet arrived.

"My lord, if you don't mind, since I'm here, I could serve you tonight." Lynda stepped closer to Mikael, trying to lure him in with her tricks.

"Get out." He said calmly.

Lynda stared at him stunned, Mikeael had never rejected her body before so his action shocked her. "What do you-"

"I said get out! don't you understand me... Leave!" Mikael yelled at a now terrified Lynda who scurried out of the room.

With Elvina being gone and her scent fading from the room, Mikael could finally breathe in peace. "What have I done?" His words came out as a whisper as he tried to calm the beast in him. He was just glad that none of the ladies saw his clawd hands.
