Chapter Twenty: The Journey To Azackton’s Castle

Rising early in the morning before the others were awake, our four knights assembled themselves. Gathering provisions and weapons necessary for their mission, they saddled their worthy steeds; They being heavily laden with armor as their masters are.

Their scheme was to ride within a distance of Azackton's tower, leave their horses and loads in a hiding place, and then teleport to its borders; Carefully plotting a sneak attack and rescue of the beautiful Princess.

Zash the wizard of vast knowledge, with his magical powers, was able to track the exact location of the tower, and calculated that the knight's journey would take at least a day's riding.

As The Knights of Order were making their way into the borders of Azackton's kingdom of hate, six healthy looking and ravenous lions leapt out of their caves of hiding, so that they may consume the heroes.

They were among the largest of their species that the leader Toru, imagined he has seen, experienced as though he is.

Climbing down from his panicked horse, Avery chose a great javelin to carry out his work.

"They are Azackton's pets. I have heard details of them from villagers who carried stories of past warriors, who have not lived to tell of it themselves", Toru gazed amazed.

"Come on you vile wretch!" Avery challenged the beats who were bending low to the ground and growling, showing their enormous fangs.

Pouncing from his stance, the lion with great height, lunged towards the Prince's throat.

Expecting this to happen, Avery quickly dropped himself on his back, holding the sharp javelin upwards, exposing its powerful point.

Upon it, the lion staked itself so deep, that Avery was compelled to leave his weapon attached to the body, on the ground for now.

The other knights, using magical jaws which emitted from their weapons, bit and tore the other beats apart, leaving a great slaughter of carcasses on the ground.

"Well done, men. Let us go on now, for the clock continues to tick", Toru cried, grabbing his horse's reins and swinging himself upon its back.

Onward they rode, climbing the steep hills with little difficulty.

Gazing ahead, high in the air, the young Prince, his adrenaline pumping, knew the time of fate in which his life was to be decided, was near.
