"My father always told me to never turn my back on my enemy. You could have at least tried to distract me before you ran. How could you just turn your back to me when I was holding a dagger? How have we not killed all of you yet?" Annalise sighed as she touched her forehead. "I had a terrible aim. I've been slacking off."
Annalise meant to strike Claude in the head with the dagger, but she missed and was barely able to get it stuck in his shoulder.
He continued to run, ignoring that he had been hit by it. It wasn't long before he slowed down and dropped to his knees.
"The poison works better than I thought," Annalise said, impressed by how quickly it worked. All it needed was an opening of someone's flesh and it worked like magic.
