Development Phase 1

On the 24th of June, Porus invited Iris, Adam ,Robert, and the others for a meeting to discuss future development.

Everyone was waiting in the hall for Porus. Porus completed his breakfast, came to the hall, and looked at everyone present. He felt happy.

"Good morning everyone," Porus said while sitting in his seat.

"Good morning your highness", everyone said.

You have seen an underground prison. Now you must understand how cruel they will be. Once they found out about the murder of their sage, they did not hesitate to destroy not only this kingdom, but every bit of it. However, I am still not certain if this sacrifice was solely the doing of Sage David or if the light church was also involved.

If it was David's doing, then we will use this against the church. If the church is involved, we can't do anything but fight. So we still have 3.5 years. Therefore, we need to start our development. Only when we are ready can we succeed. David stored so many valuable things, so I'm 100% sure that Light church doesn't know about these children.

Robert, when will the cement factory be started? Porus asked.

From July 1st, the construction work must start. Here are the detailed information about road constructions and city walls. I have decided to increase the size of the city in each region. There will only be one city in each region, and the other two cities will become towns. By doing this, the city development will be faster. City walls will be built around these main cities so that city defense will be increased. During wartime, these city walls will work as shields.

Our kingdom's development will be done in phases. In each phase, we will set short-term goals and work towards achieving them. In Phase 1, I plan to focus on three areas: transportation, agriculture, and city walls.

1. Transportation: Porus showed a detailed new transportation map of the banished lands and started explaining. In this plan, we will construct three types of roads: 4-lane highways, 2-lane roads, and single-lane roads. The 4-lane highways will begin from the border towns, pass through the main city, and then lead to the capital. These four highways will be interconnected at the capital. The next two lane roads will connect the cities and towns.And single-lane road will connect every village and town. In the west region, two-lane road will start from the sky-high mountains, pass through the Green Star Forest, and enter the west region. From there, the four-lane roads will begin and continue to the west city and capital. By constructing these roads, we will reduce travel time in each region and make it easier to find directions. Iris, it is your team's duty to finish road construction before winter.

2. Agriculture: Lucy, you now have seeds. Therefore, you need to start farming in all regions so that every region has its own food this winter. Recruit farmers and teach them farming. After phase 2, I will distribute lands to those who have worked as farmers.

3. City walls: Irish, it is also your duty to build city walls around four cities and the capital. Additionally, you should build a west wall between the western border and the forest. It will be built from the northwest to the southwest, spanning 300 kilometers. By constructing it in the future, no one will be able to trespass into the Kingdom, as they will only have one route, which is the West gate. This is where the Highway intersects with the western border.

Now that all the raw materials are available, you can employ all of your guild members so that the work will be done faster. Additionally, please teach all of the architects and divide the work among yourselves.

But try to finish before winter. In the banished lands, there were never regular seasons. Sometimes there would be five seasons, and other times there were four seasons.

Porus looked at them and said, "Robert, in phase 2, there will be so many industries. So, I'll give you some machine designs that you can work on. But wait for the other cement factories to be completed. And as for William, your task will be to build waiting halls for travelers every 20 kilometers. From the mountains to the west gate, the distance is 350 kilometers. So, you need to build resting halls every 20 kilometers. These halls will be used by travelers to take a rest for some time and then continue their journey.

And Caleb and Clinton, you will help Robert with the cement factory machinery. Adam, you are already busy. I need you to make poles that will be planted in the divider every 30 meters. They will be used as light poles.

After the completion of the highway, Lucy, we will go to the forest to select trees that will be planted on both sides of the road. Additionally, flowers will be planted in the divider. This will help to cool down the temperature in every region. Currently, there are no trees in every region, which is why we don't have rains. Moreover, two-thirds of the forest has been destroyed, so we need to plant trees in the forest as well. However, we need to build nurseries for this purpose, which will be done in phases 2. For now, let's focus on planting trees in all regions.

You guys must take this seriously if Phase 1 is completed. We will start building houses, as they are the most important. Many people in our Kingdom don't have houses. But without transportation and city area division, it will be impossible. After this phase, we will plan for new villages to be built for farmers, and some towns will be relocated.
