The King's first wife

Married in the mothers' wombs, this is a story of two individuals and how they overcome the many obstacles life throws at them in a traditional backward country. The next king and his first wife. This is unlike any other classic Indian romance I have ever been across. A lot of interesting things occur in the life of a modern prince and his simplistic wife. A radical prince who wants to break all the norms of society and a simple princess who just wants a normal palace life. Can they survive the world when evil is brewing right in their family? Many attempts to break those two apart by the very woman who got them together and his second marriage put their relationship to a damper but can they manage to stay together?

She's upset

" Is this kid of royal blood. Aditi?" Was the only question the old woman had for Aditi after Pari just went ahead and left the place. Sohit on the other hand just stayed back. He needed to have a chat with that woman immediately.

" Of course Rani ma," she answered with a smile, and the old lady who was still holding her hand nodded in agreement. Aditi was telling the truth. You could guess that through her heartbeat alone but Sohit knew that if you could change the question only a little, the answer would be wrong.

Sohit was, in a dilemma. Whether to go to Pari and comfort her or whether to confront that woman and he knew what was more important but, his heart was aching just by thinking the condition Pari would be in. She was still not over the fact that he had remarried and now, his second wife got pregnant before her too. But, he knew what was right and what he needed to do immediately in order to stop all issues in the palace. So, he just kept quiet till he was alone with his second wife.

" What the hell are you doing?" he was angry. You could see it in his eyes and feel it in his tone. You could feel the coldness he had for her through the empty room which he had barged into at night

" What I want to do. You told me, prince, that you don't care about what I do," she slowly and slyly answered while going to sit in her bed. When he was supposed to be in Pari's room, he had slid into hers. It was progress for her.

" This is not acceptable Aditi! You have broken your duty and responsibility as a wife within 5 months!!" he shouted at her and she just threw a vase at him

" You don't give me what a husband should give. You made it so clear 3 months ago!! You think I had a choice! Your old grandmother will kick me out of this house if I hadn't gotten pregnant!!" she threw another vase that clashed right on the floor as he dodged it and just kept staring at her skeptically. Just because he was not ready to give her what she wanted, she revolted. Now that he looked back at what he did with his first wife the first time she got her periods were really not something different than that. But she just acted out in front of him. Because his grandmother would kick her out or her friends would taunt her, she didn't commit a sin. She just waited for him till he understood her importance while there was this angry pregnant woman in front of him that wanted to assert her importance over him. He could see the difference between the nature and upbringing of those two women so well at that moment. Where one of his wives was taught to be selfless, the other was just plain selfish. Now he realized why he even loved her that much.

" You are not the boss here," he held her chin and made her look right at him in anger, " And I am not going to give my name to someone else's kid. I'm not a good person in that matter at all. So get your act together because what you have committed is a sin. That kid is going to be sent to Raniganj along with you the moment it is born. Do you get me?"

His voice was deadly calm but anger just kept dripping from his eyes as he glared at the woman who looked right at him in tears. Her blackmail idea of getting him to agree with her was going off track.

" Or wait. This is the first kid, right? Go back to your mayka. I banish you to Raniganj with that sin of yours. Illegitimate child. Listen, I understand your intentions very well. You will never be the queen," he pushed her on the bed in anger and she just stayed there. Never in her entire life had she seen someone get angrier than him. Not even her guruma who used to hit her with a stick whenever she did anything wrong. She was really scared at that moment...

" In 3 weeks. I want you and that kid away. Whether it's a boy or girl I don't care. I never want to see your or that child's face ever again. Or else, I will kill you with my own hands. DO YOU GET ME!?" he threatened her and she gulped. In fear, she immediately nodded her head

" Don't show me that face again," he walked out of the room in anger leaving that woman all alone inside. Maids had heard vases falling down and breaking but no one dared to enter. Although, after Sohit left in anger, the maids ran in to see Aditi shivering in fear and vases fallen on the floor. What even happened there!?

" Sohit," he was walking to Pari's room to clarify everything when he ran into his father or the king, and the king was so happy to see that angry young man... He was just one month away from becoming 19 and then, he would be only 2 years away from taking the throne.

" Baba," he bowed a little and stood in his place, still and calm, not showing him anything that was happening inside his mind

" I'm going on a Rashtrabhraman in two days. You and Shaurya are both coming. It'll be for two weeks," the man ordered and Sohit nodded. Leaving that palace in 2 days? He just hoped that till he came back, Aditi was gone

" Ok," he bowed again and was about to walk forward when he saw her silhouette walking out. He saw her, without her ghunghat running somewhere, and his ears matched with the sound. Where was she running to?

" And congratulations on being a father-" " The kid is not yet born baba," he was distracted by her back but he was still bitter about the whole being a father ordeal

" Is there something-" his father just turned back to see Pari's back at them as she ran to the other side of the corridor and he turned back to look at his son who had squinted his eyes just to stare at Pari. He understood that his son was way more interested in that woman than he was in him...

" I should go,"
