The Incident 2

Dinner was served and everyone was talking was talking except for Sonia. Erica had lead the conversation to topics Sonia knew nothing of. The Count seems to have noticed this and began to ask her questions about her early childhood.

" what do you do everyday, my dear Sonia" the Count asked her.

" Father, I help my mother with the chores around the house and I the farm, then when I finish my chores, I go to the small mountain at the back of countryside to free my spirit" she replied to his question.

" Free your spiri?t" Erica questioned Sonia her tone of voice laced with sarcasm.

Sonia did not mind the sarcasm and calmly answered Erica" you wouldn't understand because you were not there. I really liked the view of the countryside from up the mountain. it feels cool and refreshing up there. When you have time to come in the future, I will show you around"

Erica lightly frowned and wanted to argue but saw her mother's face and remembered her warning,so she kept quiet. Sonia was happily engaged in a conversation with her parents.

After dinner, Sonia was lead to her room and she slept soundly for the first time in few years of her life.

A month to her debutante party into the Noble society, everyone had fallen in love with the smart and wise Sonia. Sonia had made the servants work easier by making some small tools to help in their work, she had upgraded her etiquette and social skills and can now be on par with Erica who had achieved such gracefulness and elegance from many years of training.This sparked some rumors spread amongst servants that it better to marry a woman who was smart and intelligent than to marry a woman who only had beauty to boast about. When Erica heard this, it sparked jealousy and hatred in her heart,she decided that it was time to send Sonia to eternal sleep. By the next morning all the servants that gossiped were sold and new replacement were made.

In the nighttime, when everyone was asleep, Sonia felt something crawling on her skin and she put on the light , lo and behold!!!!!!! what she saw was a Culin snake on the floor. Sonia was going wild with surprise because it was so rare to actually see a Culin snake in the Alvania kingdom due to the campaign done against the snakes years ago. There were only two of the snakes in the kingdom and they could only be found in the treasure vault of the Poison cult. Sonia could have easily killed the snake but she decided that it was too time to go out of the house and she needs a break to herself.
