Emotion Changing Machine

"Y..Y.. N..no I don't know anyone in your university. How will I know anyone?" His answer didn't satisfy her urge to ask more. It made her suspicious when he answered her without looking into her eyes.

The only reason when someone doesn't look into your eyes is because of the lie that the person is speaking. He is such a confident person, yet he seemed to be scared.

TING!

At the same time, his phone's notification rang which lay beside him. Javier shifted his attention to the message he received and the usual smirk of his was back!

'Just… how many times do his expressions and moods change? God, is he a man or an emotion-changing machine?' This made her wonder if she should now interact with him anymore or not?

But on this vast island, he was the only source through which she can have a happy chat. Otherwise, she will be bored to death for sure.

Jennifer was pulled out of her thoughts when she heard his voice, "Your man is looking for you as a crazy beast. Do you know he has asked all his members to leave other work and find your whereabouts?" She wasn't surprised to hear.

After all, Lucas has been a headache in her life. The threat she was chasing was removed from her life permanently but the matter got delayed.

In her eyes, it was quite normal for that mad person to search for her. It was surely something that Lucas hasn't found about her location yet. Did his contacts fail to this extent?

Rolling her eyes, Jennifer replied with a sarcastic tone in her voice, "As if he really cares. All he is doing is to say, 'His dear fiance is dear to him…' my foot!"

"Aren't you dear to him? I already expected him to ask his computer and secret base department to look for you but.. leaving all the major work… you have such power over him." The tease in his voice didn't miss from her ears.

It wasn't easy to guess if he listened to the rumors about her and Lucas, or was his private investigation that resulted in something? Because it was crystal clear that he never meant Lucas as her 'real man'. The words were simply used to annoy her.

Her eyes narrowed in sharpness, "Don't think about that bastard. He is a pain in the ass. If not because of him, I don't think I would have been here in this mess itself.." her mood totally switched since Lucas was mentioned in their talks.

When Javier saw the frown on her forehead, he decided to cheer her up. "Are you bored here?"

Looking at him from the corner of her eyes, "Do you expect me to dance here on this vast island and jump down in the sea? I'm bored!" Her sarcastic reply gained a chuckle from him.

Javier's attitude was making her more curious. But at the same time, she knew that he is only trying to make her feel better and forget about the other stuff, and matters that might be taking place at the other end.

"Alright. Let me bring you somewhere. I don't know if you will find it amazing or not but it might make you less bored." His words were very much confusing.

He didn't give her much information related to what he was saying, only asking her to follow him to where he is taking her.

She had no clue what he was planning. He stood up and started walking down the stairs but she was confused, whether she should just follow him

'You don't have any other work... he hasn't harmed you till yet so I guess it is safe..' her instincts told her.

Following him, she arrived at a room where he switched on the lights and her gaze fell on the equipment in the small, yet so advanced room!

There were small, large types of screens that had the footage going in them. With that, a huge setup of advanced technology, computers, laptops, and everything was set there.

"T..Th..this.. is..y" her words were disassembled due to her shock and surprise. Her legs were not able to hold herself when she couldn't imagine something like his to exist on such a distant island.

"This is kind of a setup you can say. Would you like to keep an eye over your family?" His sudden question made her look into his eyes, to see if he was speaking the truth.

"D..Do you mean that you can make me see my parents?" She doesn't know why but this kidnapper seems different.

He kidnapped her, from her own wedding, brought her to this place, keeping her away from her loved ones yet he is allowing her to see her family?

Not physically but at least virtually.

"If you wish to. If you feel that after seeing them, you might just get emotional, then I will just skip it and show your son-" he didn't even complete his words when he already received a nod from her side.

A vigorous nod to be specific. She was very eager to see her family. How would have they reacted when they didn't find her in the room on the wedding day?

Were they furious? Worried? No, they won't be worried at all, she made herself convinced because her family wasn't the ordinary one.

They clearly knew that they were bonding her with Lucas, the most dangerous person and at that time they were happy to be his bride. Now, she is at least in that dangerous place, so they won't be worried about her absence, right?

"Who would you like to see then? Your mother, father?" He asked gently to which she replied, "anyone.. I hope if I can see all three of them, it will be amazing.. Only if it is possible."
