Chapter 19- Battle of Elven Forest Part 1

Elven Forest,

Gimel, along with Gamel and the ministers were busy discussing about their planned alliance with the Holy Kingdom when, a guard entered.

" How rude!" one of the ministers tried to scold the guard when Gimel stopped him.

" Speak. Is it so important that you must disturb out meeting?" Gamel asked the guard.

" Pardon my intrusion lady Gamel, your Majesty but, the knights of Crux are preparing for a siege attack near our walls." the guard said as he bowed his head. His body trembled in fear when he saw Gamel emitting a murderous aura upon hearing the news.

" Send 10 invisible archers to scout the enemy camps. Tell them I need to know the enemy's details by this afternoon." Gimel ordered the minister of defense. The other ministers were shocked by Gimel's serious attitude. They always thought he was the cool type but, they didn't expect him to have a side who is willing to go to war immediately. On the other hand, they also felt chills when they saw a smile displayed on Gamel's face. Though they don't know what the smile is for, they knew she was also ready to go to war. They thought, " What a strange pair of siblings they are."

" Dear sister, please send a letter to Griffin regarding out current situation." Gimel requested. Little did he know that she already sent a letter the moment the guard finished reporting the news.

Holy Capital, Royal Library

Maggie had spent all her time inside the royal library in practicing spells and reading books. Even though she already knew all the basic things about magic, this wasn't enough. She wanted to learn advanced or even ancient magic if possible. While she was reading a book about spells, Kazuki entered the room.

" Hey Maggie, what's up?" Kazukis sudden intrusion startled Maggie's chant that she accidentally fired the spell towards Kazuki. Luckily, Kazuki drew out Order in time to stop the attack.

" What was that for?!" Kazuki asked in a childish tone. Though it was an accident, Kazuki thought it was a prank aimed at him.

" Don't you ever heard of the word knock?!" Maggie yelled at Kazuki which made him confused. He thought it should be the other way around.

In the middle of their argument, a portal opened an Griffin stepped out.

" Pardon me for disturbing you but, a letter from Gamel just arrived." Griffin said with a polite tone. " He really is the calmest mage" Kazuki thought.

Both Kazuki and Maggie stepped in to the portal. On the other side were Sakura and Pegasus waiting for them.

" Took you long enough." Sakura scolded Kazuki which made others question their relationship. From everyone's point of view, they look like a newly wed couple fighting because the husband went home late, but no one dared to stop them.

" Enough!" Pegasus shouted. Though Kazuki is his master, he doesn't care because it's also the servant's job to stop his master. At least that's what he believes in.

After the noise resided, Griffin read the letter and his eyes darkened.

" The Kingdom of Crux is preparing to attack Elven forest. The letters say their camp contains 100,000 knights and 10 siege weapons." Griffin read the letter out loud with a dark tone.

" What?!" Everyone shouted simultaneously. They didn't expect the Magnus to still have cards in his hands.
