And so the journey began

Monday rolled around, like any student in India I tried making excuses for not going to school but my mom just ignored me I got into my uniform which was not flattering from any angle, got my hair tied and headed for school I got into class and kept my bag on the side.

I nervously sat there waiting for something to happen I really don't know what I was expecting maybe someone fighting or cursing out loud but nothing of that sort happened they got into class spoke to their friends and when the teacher came, they sat in their place our ma'am changed our places and I got a seat on the last row third last bench and fyi I sat in that same exact place for the rest of the year my partner kept changing but my place never changed.

So let me explain to you how my row was behind me were two girls who became my friends and in front of me two guys sat I don't remember how exactly those guys and myself became friends but I do remember what topic started our friendship it was WWE yes from all the topics WWE was the topic that made us talk and me being socially awkward I couldn't hold conversation but the two guy made an effort to hold the conversation.

So, time skip a few months after we had our first exams and when there were few papers remaining the school announced that we were gonna have auditions for the annual day. Keep in mind that I used to sing and draw a lot in class those are the two things that I pride myself in so the time of auditions rolled around and I decided not to go I had zero confidence in myself now I am working on my self-confidence but at times I still put myself down.

After some constant persuasion from my friend I decided to go but to go alone was kinda nerve wrecking I asked around the class and came to know that a girl named Carol was gonna audition for acting she was the same girl that had come to talk to me on the first day so I go up to her and say " hey are you auditioning for the annual day can I come with you and to my pleasant surprise she says yes.

So before the auditions we had recess so she asked me if I wanted to come have our tiffin together I said yes and she took me to the ground the second we started talking I told her most of my secrets and she told me hers we sat there laughing and sharing our tiffins the school bell rang and we ran to class. We both auditioned and got to be part of the annual day after that day we sat together on the ground in the exact same place and had our tiffins even if other people joined us our place was fixed.
