The Night Befalls!!

As Amara hurriedly left, Zamiel couldn't help but admire her determination and caring nature. He watched her disappear into the crowd, feeling a sense of admiration mixed with a hint of longing. With a smile lingering on his lips, he turned to head back to his own path, his mind filled with thoughts of Amara and the worry of tomorrow.

************

Amara and her parents spent a good time later after reaching home, cooking peacefully and having a meal together. Spending quality time in nature, seated in their garden.

She even had an effortless trial of sleep, dozing off as soon as she fell over the bed, her soul as though sinking comfortably into the mattress.

************

Zamiel walked in the darkness of the forest, his steps a reverberating echo.

Walking through the moonlight night, he suddenly sensed someone's presence, an intuitive response escaping him as he turned back.

Witnessing a fog shaped in a woman, a radiant green light surrounding her like an aura, her dressed in black contrast to her white hair and silver eyes. "I knew it was you, grandma!"

"Who else it could be?!" Jade replied nonchalantly.

"How are you, grandma?!"

"Not a right time for well-being questions, Zamiel!"

Zamiel nodded thoughtfully, hoping she was completely fine, "Is the task done?"

"That's what I am here about!" She said firm, her hand gesturing in a mysterious way, having summoned something undefined.

The shining golden tiny ball-like pill, travelled from her palm to his as he took it over, emerging it into self.

"Thanks for the help, was it difficult for you to reach me?!" Zamiel asked.

"It is just my soul that you are witnessing! As you know, soul has no boundaries, no limitations!"

Zamiel smiled, as expected, she is smart!

"How is Cassandra?!" he asked instead.

"Would be doing good until she knows the truth!!"

Zamiel sighed, "I didn't mean to hide!"

Jade took a pause, "She might get angry!" she then said with a sigh.

"I'm sure she will understand. I'll let her know this, by myself!!"

Jade sighed, "That man... wasn't quite pleased as well, however, he might have made sure to create an illusionary safe way for me, for I didn't encounter any demon!!"

"My arrival for him, was expected!!" She added.

Zamiel nodded thoughtfully, his master knew he would send somebody at least. "That's a relief!!" He said the least.

"What are you really upto?" Jade finally asked.

"I'm doing what seems right to me!!" Zamiel said dedicated.

She knew, however, "Are you aware of the consequences then? It won't be easy, Zamiel!!" she warned.

"I'm.....aware! And, I don't regret it!!" He confessed.

Jade sighed feeling helpless, "I'll take my leave, then!"

Zamiel nodded, "Take care of yourself and, Cassandra too!"

Jade just with an assuring nod, slowly began to vanish, her form dissipating into mist.

Zamiel with a sigh, crouched down, settling onto a rock, appreciating the lonely lovely night. His gaze capturing the silent moon, the silky waves of stars, dancing leaves and the mysteriously mesmerizing dark sky.

Grandma Jade was right, consequences would really be not going easy on him. Yet, it still seemed right to him. And he felt he had the responsibility to do so!!

The wrong approach for the settling of a wrong deed, it was indeed wrong, but he had no way.

It wasn't entirely his personal wish but also his responsibility of being responsible for Zyanya.

With a sigh, Zamiel got up, summoning the golden pill he received a while ago, gesturing it in way which can summon the man.

The pill breathtakingly presenting itself into few floating shining golden words which displayed a mysterious language.

Zamiel chanted the spell he saw, inward, an act which summoned the man, as the words vanished into thin air giving form to a man's aura, a greyish fog type light emanating from him.

Zamiel immediately kneeled with a bow in respect, "Greetings, master!!"

The man looked away briefly, "I wonder if this was the reason, Zamiel?!"

Zamiel gave out a gentle shook, "It wasn't, master!"

He sighed, "Are you even aware of what mistake you did, and the consequences it would come with?!"

"I am," Zamiel answered low, "however, I just did what seems right to me! I don't think it as a fault to be righteous, master."

"But you had chose a wrong way, Zamiel!"

"I.... admit!!" He whispered.

"Your acceptance wouldn't change anything anyway!!"

Zamiel sighed, his head bowing while his right fisted hand coming up resting against his chest, the other being at rest against his back. "I surrender to whatever that is ahead for me!!"

The man sighed defeated, knowing how loyal and faithful, Zamiel have been from the past few centuries, he knew, the man was somehow different. He didn't know what made him do this but, he needs to be punished, for his doing was no more less than a crime. "Alright!!" The man cleared his voice, "As the previous master in charge, for the wrong doing of taking advantage of your position and the ignorance towards your responsibility;"

Zamiel held his breath.

"I, Zepar Xezbeth," the man took a deep breath, "hereby declare your punishment-

************

The sky wore a deadly attire of red and the darkness around blinded Amara, yet her gaze focused the man kneeling on the rocky ground half naked, with his sword held; barely supporting him. His breath a struggle for a survival, his long neck length sweat-wet hair swaying along the chilling breeze, his head down. Eyes shut, mouth blood-stained.

Amara held her breath as she stood there speechless, the haunting place sending chills down her spine.

Her eyes searched for his face, trying to know who it was, and her heart skipped a beat when she realised it was Zamiel.

"Zamiel!" She called concerned, however he didn't respond. She tried to move, reach him, help him, but all her attempts failed as she felt some strong force restricting her.

His eyes shot open suddenly as if sensing something, mysterious forms moving in the shadows.

Gathering up his strength, Zamiel straightened up with the support of his sword. Looking ahead, the demonic creatures soon surrounding him! He took a deep breath, his sword now burning like fire.

With a courageous breath, he stood, wielding his sword, ready to fight!!

Amara's breath took a pause as she witnessed the deadly fight, between Zamiel and those unknown creatures with menacing eyes. She still couldn't move. Neither did he notice her.

A gasp escaping her when Zamiel got hurt by them, his body shedding blood, his skin becoming the victim of scars.

Zamiel kept dodging and attacking back whenever possible, however he found himself getting weaker and weaker by every passing second.

Amara could take no more, constantly trying to move. Suddenly, she felt a strong force pulling her back, her surroundings blurred as the only vision of him fighting the demons remained, worrying her even more, the helplessness panicking her even more when the force applied on her increased and the distance between them kept increasing rapidly.

************

"No!!" Amara woke up with a scream, struggling for breath. As she scanned her room, she realised it was a dream again.

With a sigh she fell back, resting against the bedwall.

What's wrong with her? She is having strange dreams these days!!

Her gaze immediately fell over her bracelet, and, it indeed shine, making her check for him for a second before sighing.

Her thoughts raced with concern as recalled her dream, his struggle stinging her heart.

She looked back at her bracelet, which now slowly stopped shining.

'We can feel each other. Even you can know about me, but you can't as of now.'

His voice echoed.

Did she really started feeling him?!

She sook her head, thinking to be thoughtful, she has no power to do so, as he stated. She didn't, she cannot!!

Yet, the dream....felt too real which, kept bothering her.

Pushing her thoughts away, she got up. After getting ready, she joined the breakfast, however her mind still was stuck with the dream she had. Her hand tracing mysterious ways on her plate through her spoon.

"Could you pass me the water jug?!" Isobel asked her.

However her request went ignored.

"Amara?!" Isobel called again, bringing her back to her senses.

"I'm sorry!!" She apologized realising her ignorance towards the request, handing her mother the water.

She remained so, with absence of mind, later, even in hospital. Just why did she even have that dream?!

She couldn't quite assist her mother in work, she neither had a wish to disturb her father, so, she went to the canteen after sometime, observing people in silence. Some were helping their loved ones, feeding them while some were having a nice time spent with a lively talk. The other way, some were upset!

Indeed, an observation, a look, into the world says you a lot of things, speaking with you in different languages.

Time passed very quick that she didn't realise it was already time for lunch, until her parents came to her.

She had her lunch with them, Zamiel completely being on her mind.

She didn't meet him from the morning!

Was she.....missing him?!

She shook her head at herself, she isn't, she convinced herself.

However her behaviour wondered her parents.

Harry asked whether she would join him, upon finishing the meal.

Amara pondered over it, with a shook she denied. "I would like to spend some time in the garden!!"

Harry and Isobel gave her a thoughtful nod, leaving her alone, giving her, her own space.

She took a seat on the bench, trying to absorb the positive vibes from the place. She still remembered how her parents created a garden here, attached to the hospital, on her request in childhood. As much as she grew, the hospital had as well grew in its development and reputation.

Her parents somehow saw the hospital as their son, making it her brother. One of the reasons why she couldn't just leave the hospital, like her medical course.

With a sigh, she looked up into the sky, caught by the passing clouds, feeling empty all of a sudden.
