Longings!!

It has already been a week and Zamiel didn't reach Amara yet, her beginning to feel a blend of fear and anger within. Helpless, curious, anxious and furious, all at a time.

Oliver had to adjust to the new environment of his work life, and so Amara, Sarah and Ralph helped him by giving some emotional support, meeting after the work time, having some peaceful talk before leaving.

It was assuring for them to know the man had managed to establish friendships among the new members. Work seeming not much difficult but still new.

However, they all knew how capable he is and so didn't much worry about it.

Even Amara's parents were all settled with the fact, the sudden imbalance they faced, not bothering them anymore. Seeming to have completely digested the truth, they began to go with ease, not choosing to complicate the issue and just wait for things to go in their own way, putting no pressure over anything.

Seeing her parents such way, Amara assured herself that her situation is getting better day by day.

She got the opportunities to spend more time with her parents, to have the delicious food made by her mother, to laugh at their silly conversations, to enjoy the peaceful time in the garden together. She missed them a lot, and she knew, she will have this opportunities even more now that they are back.

Though it made her feel like taking things for granted, she didn't mind, cause, she wanted them to be granted for real. And perhaps, she was already granted?!

Everytime she thinks about it, she couldn't help but thank Zamiel for giving her such blessing yet at the same time wondering about his still absence.

Neither her parents nor her friends choose to bring anything up about him, choosing to wait until she herself opens up.

Something she felt glad for.

The way she spent hours, staring her bracelet, every night, seated in her balcony, waiting as if he would appear any moment, all of a sudden, just like he used to do.

Remembering all the moments she had with him.

The way how he pulled her with ease in the first meeting itself. An act which surprisingly didn't annoy her much.

She could only smile at that now.

How he always supported her emotionally.

The way he saved her from an accident, the time when she felt everything getting paused except him.

Yes, him!

And his gaze, the way how his eyes often take up that golden colour, all of a sudden, just while staring at her.

Her heart skipped everytime he did that, despite not knowing why does that happen.

And not to exclude, the way he makes her blush, and her heart to flutter.

Ah, it never happened!!

Then why now?!

Is she..... beginning to feel for him?

The question always made her smile.

However, the constant reminder that he was already married, and his wife was...dead, made her reconsider her thoughts.

Was she overly thinking of everything?

What if he never felt for her the way she was feeling for him?!

She shakes her head, why would he do things for her if not?

A sigh, she knew nothing!

And the mere assumptions can never help. She needs to know the truth!!

After spending much time, waiting for him, often getting lost in his thoughts, she finally felt she had enough.

Deciding to go to his company, to know about him.

And so, she would finish her work early today, so she could leave early.

************

As the journey continued, Zamiel faced the demonic snake Dyla was speaking about, on his way. The creature attacked him as well, and Zamiel, just didn't care about anything anymore, taking its life, avenging Dyla's and her husband's death.

On the way ahead, demons attacked him every now and then, he even had few injuries, however survived every battle.

Finally reaching the peak of the mountain.

A satisfied sigh escaped him witnessing the view.

The world seeming small yet wide and lengthy. Trees, vast grasslands, valleys, rocks, hills, dead grounds which almost portrayed a graveyard.

What not!

Standing here, right in the heights of the most fearful world, it was....a worthy experience!!

There were days when, coming from a royal family, he never believed in the myths which proved with the existence of immortals, demons, dragons, phoenixs and all.

However now, his life itself is now an evidence, witnessing all the once superstitious things coming true.

Inhaling a deep breath, he felt relieved, his punishment finally coming to its end.

He can.....finally meet Amara.

Despite meeting her is somehow assuring, he still had the fact in mind that he needs to explain her everything once he gets back.

And the explanation will include.....all the things he had hidden from her till now.

Blessing, she addressed him.

A faint smile took over him. Would she still maintain the same perception about him after knowing the truth?!

With a sigh, he took a last glance at the view ahead, experiencing the sunset he will never get to see again even in his long life, before teleporting to the cave, where the demon god resides.

When he was about to enter in, Casper appeared out of blue, his openly held hands a resistance towrads his entrance.

"What are you upto now, immortal?"

Zamiel sighed, "I'm here to greet the demon god for the last time, let me in!"

Casper laughed, "And you expect me to believe it?"

"I expect you to let me in for you know I cannot harm him even if I wanted to!!" Zamiel gave a shook of disappointment, "I don't understand what fears you still!"

Casper shot him a disgusted glare, however his words were stuck when the command of the demon god 'Let him in!!', echoed.

Zamiel with a smile shrugged, "Give me way, at least now?"

With a sigh, Casper moved away letting him in. Yet, he followed in, still being cautious.

As Zamiel entered in, he saw the demon god seated on the ground, meditating. His eyes shut.

With a deep breath, he bowed, "Greetings, Lord Tamas!"

"What do you wish to say?" Tamas asked calmly.

Zamiel pondered for a moment, "I'm here to convey my farewell for I've completed my punishment."

Tamas gave no response while Casper looked away.

"And also to thank you, for stopping me at the right time!!"

That surprised Casper.

Tamas smiled, "You are mistaken if you think I've been watching for you, it was just fun to watch an immortal kill an about to die dragon!!"

"You however stopped me from doing so, my lord."

The smile faded, a serious look taking its place, "Either way, she's dead!!"

Zamiel sighed, looking down.

"Convey your farewell?" Tamas suddenly chuckled, "For what? You weren't even welcomed!!"

Zamiel faintly smiled, looking up, "My wife taught me to never underestimate and mistreat a royal personality!"

"I am bound to inform you about my departure for you still stay the same way, my lord."

"The demon god, nothing else can you be addressed by!!"

Another chuckle escaped Tamas, while Casper just looked at him in silence.

"Nether world has somehow become yours for you stay here...."

"Correction!!" Tamas interrupted Zamiel, finally opening his eyes, a serious stare being provided, "I'm not staying here, I was sentenced to stay here!" he stressed.

"And trust me, once I step out, there will be chaos!!" He declared.

Oh Zamiel knew, a moment of silence being carried away.

"My disciple thinks you have a strong survival spirit!!" Tamas began, grabbing both the men's attention.

"That doesn't satisfy the fact of you still being a human!!"

Zamiel chuckled for the first time in the conversation, "I am greedy indeed, but my greediness differs from the perceptions you store about it, my lord!"

"I never wished for a long life or any powers!!" Zamiel added.

Casper remained silent, wondering what else is the man greedy about if not for a long life or any powers that comes with becoming an immortal.

Tamas smiled, "Might be, however there may time come where your intensions might remain unchanged yet perspections might align with mine."

A frown took over him, "Pardon my lord, I couldn't comprehend your words!"

Even Casper who couldn't understand it, wondered.

Lord Tamas looked away briefly, "If you are done with your farewell, you can leave."

Zamiel hesitated for a second before bowing.

As he turned, he halted again. Turning back he took another bow, "Lord Tamas, I wouldn't dare to offend you, but if I may...."

"I wouldn't like to exercise my patience unnecessarily!" Tamas warned.

Zamiel sighed, "Personally, it was once inspiring to acknowledge the deeply established foundations of friendship between the immortals and demons, my lord!"

"I am aware that I can never know the whole truth about the already happened, but, I believe, causing chaos might not really be the only solution!"

Casper just stared him in silence, somehow amazed.

Lord Tamas showed no reaction, his calm face almost surprising Zamiel for he knew he dared to an extent by providing the suggestion.

"Just leave!" Tamas ordered in low, his voice still calm.

After a brief moment, Zamiel bowed again before disappearing.

"He was daring enough to say that!!" Casper blurted.

Tamas chuckled.

"I wonder, what else he is greedy about if not for immortality and the powers that comes with it!" Casper shook his head.

"It's love!!" Tamas replied, surprising Casper. "Only love has the power to make people perform such things!!" He said with a faint smile.

"Such...things?"

"He's the master of Zyanya, and taking advantage of his position, he brought back two prisoned souls to life!" Tamas explained.

Casper was taken aback to hear that. Was it the reason behind his punishment?! So, he did it for his love?! A sigh escaped him. Love really can lead to something unpredictable.

Moreover, what else could have lead the world to chaos some million centuries ago, if not for love?!

"So, you really were watching out for him!" He commented instead.

"Correction. I was watching over him." A chuckle escaped the demon god, "After all, how can I let our guest go unnoticed and mistreated?!"

Casper with a smile shook his head at his master's statement.

While Tamas looked away, up in the air, soon the view of the abandoned demon world displayed.

A lump settling in their hearts as they witnessed it.

"Without you, our world has lost its divine essence!!" Casper expressed his grief, concern and disappointment.

Tamas just stared the view, his heart clenching every second which only reminded him of the end they had. His palm balling up into fist. "There one day definitely will come Casper, when everything will get back to its righteous place!!" He said dedicated, closing his eyes briefly, the view vanishing into thin air, "All we need to do is wait for the right time!!"

Casper nodded in belief, "I can only pray for your wish to come true, my lord. And I believe, the Overlord will definitely bless us one day!!"

Tamas only smiled faintly for that.

Yes, he believes in it too.

One day, she will come back.

To establish the lost balance between the three realms, she must....return.

And she will!!

************

Zamiel who now stood in front of the barrier, with a bow, "Hey Nether World's barrier, the one who protects the outer world, my punishment has come to an end. I request you to allow me step out now!" he requested.

The barrier accepting his request, soon created a way out for him.

Zamiel took another bow of respect, his eyes shut, his right hand resting on his chest.

As soon as he stepped out, the barrier resurfaced itself.

Zamiel could see the wonderment in those soldiers eyes about how he managed to survive.

However, he was in no situation to satisfy any of their wonderings.

All he wished for now was, to meet her.

He knew, she has been waiting for him and he will not let her wait anymore!!

Zamiel almost immediately, disappeared from the view.
