CHAPTER 4❤️ SHYNESS AND INNOCENCE
"Give me your hand" he said while bringing his hand forward for her to hold under the table of the library.
"No" she said as she was afraid that someone might see it. They were just in class 1 and it was surprising what they felt and how they used to express it for each other.
" If you consider me as your friend, then give me your hand ". He said
She was still reluctant but anyway slowly slid her hand into his still feeling shy.
That was the first time they held hands with something so pure in their heart.
Turning the page , all the memories of her school day out flashed in front of her when they were in class 2.
She remembered that their class teacher had made pairs for everyone to walk in. It was a pair of a girl and a boy. Falguni always wished that Milan would stand with her , sit with her she wanted him around and very close to her. She couldn't see him with any other girl.
So when the teacher made pairs, she really hoped and wished that he became her partner and they would get to hold hands. But he was paired with another girl in the class who was always jealous of Falguni.
She was in tears. She was so sad, she lost all excitement of the trip. She just wanted to cry out loud and go hold his hand, but she couldn't do that.
Calming herself down, she went to stand in the line with her partner. Her eyes were always on him and his stand. It was burning her heart but she couldn't do anything.
They were taking rides when a jeep ride came. Falguni wasn't gonna let go off this chance for sure so she sat next to Milan who was sitting in the driver's seat. She ran and directly sat with him without giving anyone else a chance. She was very happy to do that.
As the next ride came Milan asked her if she would sit with him nd she gladly said yes. All other children were teasing them and making fun and pairing them up . Falguni just smiled but Milan was there to handle everything for her. He said "Falguni is scared that's why she wants to sit with me and I want to protect her" listening to this Falguni could just smile and hold his hand tighter than it already was .
Now it was time for the magician to come. Every kid there was very excited and so was Falguni. After his tricks, the magician asked the kids to make a wish and guaranteed it's fulfillment. Falguni , being the little, naive, innocent girl that she was, closed her eyes and the first thing that flashed in front of her eyes was that of Milan's face. All she wished for was Milan to be her best friend always, for life, little did she know about what future had in store for her.
She closed her eyes, folded her hands and wished from the bottom of her heart. All she wanted was her family and him. That thought itself made her feel complete.
It was their time to leave now. There was this mini bridge they had to cross. Milan's partner had left his and she had started talking to her friends. Suddenly Milan came to Falguni and said "Falguni, will you be my partner ?".
Suddenly taken by surprise, she said yes without even thinking twice. With a smile on her face she slipped her hand into his and the two started walking. She was so shy that she couldn't even look at him now so she just looked down and walked with blush creeping up her cheeks.
They both were caught in the moment when one of their classmate saw everything and ran upto all the other kids telling them that Falguni and Milan are in love. This led to them abruptly leaving their hand. Her hand felt empty again and she felt disappointed and wanted to kill that girl.
They finally reached the bus. She again wished to sit next to him and thankfully she got a chance. It was a three seater bench with her on the window side, him in the centre and another classmate, Raghav, at the end. They were all sitting and chatting, enjoying themselves. Suddenly Raghav split the coke on his side of the bench. This suddenly led Milan to sit closer to Falguni. The more it spread, the closer they would get . Falguni's heart was caging in her chest,as if it would come out anytime. They were both technically hugging each other unintentionally which made her happy.
These two innocent children spent moments which will always remain close to her heart, they will always make her cry.
She didn't realize these feelings earlier . All she thought was of him to be a best friend but now that she thinks about all these events, she realises that she has been in love with him since more than 9 years. She believed in destiny, she believed in god, she believed in luck. She wished to be with him in every wish she made, in front of every God she stood, everywhere.
But she always wondered whether he remembers anything, even a single thing.. does he even remember her or has he forgotten that too ..
