SUNDAY, MARCH 26
MY ROOM 7:00PM
Hi,
Today is Sunday and I'm at church. Yup, it's kinda boring and I'm hungry. Also, I'm doing something I can't tell you cause it's a secret.
Anyway, the twins just fell asleep. And today is Emma's birthday party.
At Emma's party, all the kids living in the estate came and a few of her friends from school too. So, I wore a blue dress with multi-coloured polka dots all over it and I put on black sneakers that had pink and green flowers(it's not a girly sneakers...it's a cool one).
Tony came with his little sister, Dani and when it was time for the party games, I tricked him and my brothers into participating. While I stood there and laughed my shoes off.
I was all like, "Who wants to have fun? You guys should raise your hands". And they did, at that same time the MC of the party had said kids should raise their hands if they wanted to dance. So he saw all three of them put up their hands and he called them out.
I am so devious *devious grin*.
MC: Okay DJ play some music while these kids dance.
Tony: (using sign language) Nora, I'll kill you.
Me: (laughing and cheering) Dance Tony dance! I'm the judge so dance!
Tony: I can't dance to any Nigerian song. Tell the DJ to play Rolex or Party then I'll dance.
Here’s how my week went…
On Monday, I played the keyboard in the music room at school. And after school, it rained so I got home an hour later around 3pm. At home, I ate, had a quick shower and set my books for tomorrow. Then I wore a pink top with bronze slippers and a black beret that was studded. And I carried a pink bag.
So we went to church and Melody with her sister, Debbie sat with me. And we were surrounded by kids between the ages of 1-3 years and they were running around and screaming. It was interesting to watch them communicate with each other in their baby language.
Until I thought that they could be telling secrets and stuff about the adults around them which we could not understand. Well, I had fun.
Last Thursday was like every Thursday at school for me…terrible. Surprisingly it started off in a good way from home till after assembly at school. We almost got punished due to our never-ending noise-making. But we didn't so that was good.
Now for the not-so-nice part of that day...In-Home etc. class in the second period, a classmate of mine got me in trouble. But it was kinda not trouble-trouble because I just had to take over the revision of topics while my teacher watched. But I was almost in tears cause let's just say I'm not very bold when it comes to speaking in front of people I am not so close with.
Funny how it was my classmates I was talking to. Yup, people that I see five days a week. I wasn't bold enough but at the same time, I was bold. And yeah, my teacher was watching me so I wanted to just disappear.
How do I put this? I am a very shy person when it comes to meeting new people and public speaking. But I can talk to people I am very familiar with. But still not me. I am only myself completely when I'm at home.
So yeah, I'm a complicated kid *shrug*.
Anyway, my teacher let me off and I thanked her. She's kinda strict but nice and fun too. And I got into trouble because of glue which she had seized. But I got my glue back so yay me!
Moving on to break, there was a long line. It was soo long but I still bought edibles cause I was lucky you know.
Back at home, my brother and I rode around a little with Tony. I took Tony's Bio note and read a little from it along with my Science note.
On Friday my class was you know, the usual noisy and all so we gut punished for it. And we had to kneel till sometime before closing when we were to go to the school hall to check our exam placement stuff. We also got flogged and it was terrible. Mostly because not everyone was guilty e.g. me! But that's the way it is, everyone suffers for someone's error. Thankfully, we got released from our punishment by break time.
When it was 12 noon, all students had to go to the hall to find out where we were placed to write out the exam. So myself and a couple of friends are in the hall for our exam. We all had numbers, with mine as number 40 and Ivy's as 36. It was according to our last names. I was placed upstairs and between two seniors. One was a former close friend of mine and she's in 9th grade and the other was my sister's classmate and she's in 11th.
I'm pretty sure we sat in our seats for over an hour because my butt was numb by the time we were told to leave. I was very hungry and I didn't eat during the break. So my mind was occupied thinking about edibles. That's what I used to distract myself for the whole hour we sat there moping.
When we were told to leave, I bought food and ate in my sister’s class and that was around 2pm. We got home by 3 and I was bored for a little while. So, I decided to watch TV for the last time before my two-week-long exam. Two weeks with no TV??? My life is practically over-not exactly-but Aaaahhh!
Back to Emma’s party…it’s kinda sad that the DJ had no Western pop song so the party sucked for all of us.
Also, can you believe that Tony's two-year-old sister can sing Rolex? And her little dance is soo cute too!
Well, the good news is...we got cake and party gifts and a lot of food too. And cake again!
I forgot I have a Math exam tomorrow! Sorry, I gotta go read.
