Arc 3: Forming - Chapter 4

The next day*

Daisuke wiped his mouth with a napkin as he finished a nice breakfast with Esdeath in a random restaurant. Throwing the dirty napkin into the trashcan on their way out.

"Still nothing on Reborn?" Daisuke looks at Esdeath, who has been frowning for a while now. "Or is something else bothering you?"

"No, it's the smell that bothers me." Esdeath looks in the direction of Nana and Tsunayoshi's house, and she changes the sound frequency to prevent others from overhearing their conversation.

"What smell?" Daisuke knew that Esdeath's senses were beyond human limits, even more than the supernatural, due to her previous original state as a human, and it had been some time since she merged with Rashomon, making her even more deadly than she already was. This includes her Teigu, which is also merged with Rashomon. Therefore, whatever she smells, it must really affect her when she talks about it.

"That would be Nana being horny for you, Master." Esdeath snorted. "She takes the time to masturbate in the same bed you sleep in."

"I've been wondering why every time I come back to the bedroom to sleep, my bed sheet always seems to have been washed recently." Daisuke rubs his chin. "But, I don't think it's time for me to have sex with Nana just yet. Mainly because there is a certain someone isn't in Namimori that needs to be here before I do."

"Seriously, I bet anyone in your position would find a sweet but secretly horny girl like Nana to have all kinds of fetish-type sex with." Esdeath points out.

"Well, that would be the case if it weren't for the fact that I have the Holy Grail, which might as well be the holder of my harem, considering how I use it for booty calls all the time." Daisuke snorted in amusement at his use of such a powerful artifact, and he knew exactly how the people of the Nasuverse would react if they found out.

"Right..." Esdeath shakes her head. "By the way, the little fish is starting to look into your background, Master."

"Oh?" Daisuke walks over to a nearby bench and sits down, with Esdeath sitting beside him. "Has he apologized to Nana yet?"

"It's more like he tries many methods to get the information. The first is to use the local library's computers to see if anything with your name shows up." Esdeath replied. "After that, he relies on his intuition to wander around to find anything remotely related to you and goes from there."

"I can't blame him. After all, I'm willing to bet that my presence drives him crazy with his intuition screams at him to get rid of me without risking his life." Daisuke smirks, knowing full well the harm he is causing around him for being an outsider in this world. But that didn't stop him from fulfilling his plans to obtain what he wanted from this world before leaving for another.

"If you don't mind me asking, what in this world makes you so focused on the little fish and a neglected wife who is willing to cheat with how sexually frustrated she is? It must be something good for someone like you, Master." Esdeath stares deep into Daisuke's eyes.

"Oh, it's something good." Daisuke didn't bother to hide the fact that he's about to rebuild a lot of things thanks to the central core of the world of Katekyo Hitman Reborn, especially since he wants to include the modifications in his mind as soon as he gets the essential materials for the Omnifabrication.

"I feel as if I hadn't been merged into Rashomon. I won't be of much use, even as a sex slave; I wouldn't last that long before you threw me away." Esdeath said this as a matter of fact, not finding it outrageous if that happened to her.

Daisuke sweatdropped, but he didn't deny that there was a chance that something like that could happen. But it was a good thing that he had fused Esdeath with Rashomon. Otherwise, he would just kill Esdeath and be done with it if she caused him problems. However, he would have killed her anyway for her blood, which contained the power of her Teigu.

"Also, how come you help the little fish in the beginning unless it's part of your many plans?" Esdeath asks Daisuke, ignoring the fact that Tsunayoshi literally just ran past them in a hurry to get somewhere.

"Odd as it sounds, but if I didn't help him. The chance of him accidentally killing himself will be higher due to the absence of Reborn shooting him with a Dying Will Flame Bullet to deactivate the seal temporarily, allowing a semblance of balance in his life. You should already have an idea what kind of person Tsunayoshi is before having his Dying Will Flame unsealed. He won't make it to adulthood; trust me on that." Daisuke frowned as he recalled a few important notes that were on the paper of the future routes.

"Well, it looks like he will die soon, even without his seal." Esdeath points, pulling Daisuke out of his thoughts.

"Wait, what?" Daisuke is stunned by this sudden news. "What do you mean he will die soon?"

"He's picking a fight with the local yakuza." Esdeath points to their left, where everyone can see Tsunayoshi fistfighting with some random yakuza. "The yakuza in mind happens to be the same one you gave money to deliver groceries to Nana's house every day as a side job for pocket money."

"The one who offers a package service to help around the place with himself and refers his friends from the same yakuza clan?" Daisuke asked about the yakuza who tried his best not to hurt Tsunayoshi, knowing that he would be in trouble if he did.

"Yup." Esdeath answered.

"And how is Tsunayoshi's life in danger?" Daisuke narrowed his eyes as the yakuza consistently asked Tsunayoshi to stop before he had to fight back.

"Because this yakuza is also Flame Active with the Storm Flame, to be exact, and he is really good with the knife. So, even though the little fish's intuition is great and all, but his physical body isn't." Esdeath explains.

"Huh." Daisuke debates whether he should stop Tsunayoshi or not, because this was not one of the many future routes to work with. "Well, better we get involved then. I don't really have any intention of doing my own grocery shopping."

Not when he can have others do it for him.

"Alright, I'll keep an eye for anything the little fish might do something stupid to make things worse." Esdeath melts into the ground, blending with the ground itself.

Daisuke sighed, then he stood up and walked over to the fight, which was taking a little too long for the worries of the many people who were watching from the side.

It didn't take more than a second for Tsunayoshi to pull away, exhaling loudly to show how exhausted he was.

"You can go. I'll take care of this." Daisuke said to the yakuza, who didn't need to be told twice and left, not before giving Tsunayoshi a frown and a disappointed shake of the head.

Tsunayoshi didn't even bother to stick around either as he walked away without saying a word to Daisuke.

"Running away won't solve all your problems, you know that, right?" Daisuke wasn't going to try to be the nice guy and go in another direction, then reach into his inner pocket to pull out a folded paper that contained all the new future routes that suddenly appeared without his knowledge.

Daisuke frowns, almost forgetting that Reborn is no ordinary character and by no means someone stupid. In fact, he is extremely intelligent, but he doesn't use it outside of his interests. Otherwise, he wouldn't care and use his high intelligence to become much more than just the strongest hitman.

Now, due to Reborn was unable to reach Tsunayoshi and start his training to become the future boss of the Vongola Famiglia, which caused the Vongola to take action early—including Iemitsu coming to Namimori very soon.

Half of the plans he had completed in the past were a waste of time. This made him unhappy, but he wasn't in a hopeless situation. He can still work with new future routes that are better than some of the previous ones until the time he has to go, once the will of the planet locks on him.

Hours later*

Standing on a rooftop in the middle of the night, Daisuke has a good view of the area thanks to his height advantage, and with the help of Rashomon, he forms a thin layer dome around himself to blend in with the surroundings and make himself invisible. This would prevent unwanted problems if people were to see him.

"The moon looks nice." Esdeath said to Daisuke, sitting behind him with her back resting on his legs. Not that she had to, but she did it because she could. "There are many coming near, but are sticking barely at the border of my range."

Of course, that's not to say that Esdeath couldn't just spread out, which it can. But to do so would frighten away those who have just arrived tonight. Something that cannot be allowed to happen.

"The moon is beautiful." Daisuke agrees with Esdeath. "Well, it looks like the Vongola can't wait to get their hands on Tsunayoshi."

He still remembers why Tsunayoshi was chosen to be the next boss of the infamous Vongola, but he thinks the way they did it was stupid, especially when the ninth Vongola boss didn't unseal Tsunayoshi right away instead of just leaving it on while Reborn kept shooting him with Dying Will Bullets. Hoping to have enough time for the seal to break every time Tsunayoshi uses his Sky Flame.

The seal had finally been broken at the end of the manga series. At least, that was how he remembered it.

"Some of them are very sensitive. They can tell whenever I'm looking in their general direction and they would quickly inform their leader." Esdeath snorts in amusement. "Well, they have it better than the little fish. He is having a meltdown with him, becoming more paranoid by the day with how his intuition is always telling him he is being watched, even in his bedroom."

That last part sounds especially creepy, and coming from Esdeath's mouth made it even worse, but it's the truth. For a month, Tsunayoshi was nearly driven insane by Esdeath's surveillance of everything in Namimori. Which Tsunayoshi's Vongola Hyper Intuition caught right away.

"I'm pretty sure he has trouble sleeping." Daisuke notices the black circles around Tsunayoshi's eyes that are getting worse. "Hm. Another reason why Tsunayoshi doesn't stop relying on his strong intuition. Not that it would do him any good since it has been working overtime without a break since he was completely unsealed."

"Isn't that what you wanted to happen to the little fish? Make him go crazy and do stupid things to calm him down?" Esdeath raises an eyebrow as she stands. "After we dealt with the Vongola, I would stop watching the house so the little fish could sleep peacefully to keep him from going wild again."

"Something like that." Daisuke couldn't really say that he had suddenly changed his plans. Especially with Tsunayoshi, where the original plans were to make him even more paranoid until he was close to the breaking point and to shoot him with a specially created Dying Will Bullet to activate the Sky Flame completely—then followed by another different kind of bullet to give Tsunayoshi full control over his Sky Flame and to bring his unstable mindset back into balance.

Ultimately, Tsunayoshi will have a massive advantage in the long run if he can adjust to having Sky Flame and his Vongola Hyper Intuition doesn't become more of a nuisance than a help by overpowering him. As it was shown in the canon, Tsunayoshi was able to get by without Vongola Hyper Intuition, but only AFTER the seal had been loosened over time by the number of times he used his Sky Flame through external methods.

"Well, time to act. They can't hold it in any longer." Esdeath grins with bloodlust.
