Kal N'Dar stood regally before Master Gur with a mocking smirk. Surprisingly, it was hard to make out Kal's aura. Kal had benefitted more from old master River than anyone could know.
At first, he kept calling him Master Var, and the old man didn't seem to care. However, he eventually asked one day why he called him Master Var and not his true name Ri Var.
Kal was confused but eventually, they realized that the old man had an odd way of pronouncing words. His name was River and not Ri Var.
Master River was able to better integrate complementing aspects of the various bloodlines Kal was infused with. His Tigerman heritage made him an all-around strong and agile fighter.
The Tyrant Stingray and Space Otter bloodlines worked together to create a unique set of lungs for Kal. He could breathe in water and space, or really anywhere through his lungs that drew out the essences in his surroundings that were converted to oxygen.
Another benefit of his Tyrant Stingray genes was it made him extremely durable and able to withstand incredible pressure.
His Space Otter genes held advantages for traveling through space allowing him to create an impenetrable force field that helped him deflect the various space debris that would hit someone moving at extreme speeds through space.
Kal also had the ability to extend his arms out super long and use his fingers to pierce through objects while releasing a formidable neurotoxin.
The Fighting Monkey bloodline allowed him to easily understand and duplicate any martial form he saw or experienced. For him, he didn't need training manuals, he needed fights! This was in line with his own experience. Kal had always had to develop his own fighting style.
He had other benefits from his bloodlines, he could grow from over two meters to seventy-seven meters thanks to his Tyrant Mantis bloodline.
He had strong mental powers since both the Tyrant Stingray and the Space Otter had to communicate telepathically.
Kal also had an innate ability to recognize and understand precious herbs and organic materials thanks to his Fighting Monkey heritage.
He even received the recipe for monkey wine from his genetic memory. If Kal were to walk the path of pills he would quickly become the most outstanding expert in the many universes.
Master River also taught Kal how to properly use the energy pathways and meridians in his body to realize his maximum potential. This also made him more efficient in his use of energy.
The benefits that Kal received from Master River were too many to count. This is just ignoring the most important point and that was that Master River freed him from his soul enslavement. Kal's gratitude towards Master River was unending.
Landing next to Kal was his new Brother Master Ba Rel. Master Ba Rel was given permission by the Syndicate to travel with Kal outside of their universe.
Master River helped Master Ba Rel by improving his physical abilities and increasing his affinity towards cultivation!
Finally, the two dragon twins also had their bodies improved and their resonance between their body and soul increased.
All of them were given Heaven Tier cultivation and martial techniques to learn. Master River liked the four of them and took them as his disciples.
Right now, Kal was given a mission to recruit Lorne to be the next student of Master River. When Kal arrived he was surprised to see such an intense war. Then he saw Lorne nearly dead, Kal had to do something!
Not because Lorne was the young master of the Zimwarn Empire, and not because BS42 would expect him to do so. The real reasons were Kal's master was expecting Lorne to come and train with him, and second, he just liked the kid!
Lorne was a person who you got what you saw. If you saw a heroic disposition from Lorne, it was because Lorne was heroic. If you saw a nerdy sci-fi kid, you got that, because that was also Lorne.
Master Gur looked at the new arrivals and immediately worried that he would be outgunned. He couldn't get a reading of Kal N'Dar. The others were worrisome as well; even though the dragon twins and this other person seemed to be below him in strength he still sensed that they were dangerous even to him.
Although he found this new group worrisome he had never been one to cower before others. It was probably because of the Dinosaur man heritage he carried within him.
His grandfather came from that breed of Beast Men, and the other beast lines he had clalmed the vicious nature of the dinosaur man bloodline. However, it was a strong presence within him.
"Who are you to meddle in the business of my Divine Kill Sect?" Master Gur asked.
"Who are you to attack my friends on this world?" Kal shot back.
Master Gur snorted in disdain and as he was about to strike out, he suddenly heard explosions from the air. Looking up, he saw his fighters that had targeted the forest and the forest fighters. Those same ships were now being turned into scrap metal.
Master Gu was furious but he didn't know who to be furious with as he couldn't tell how they were being caused to explode.
"You see Brother Ba, another tactical advantage given by fairies and puppets correctly applied. This foolish little sect leader thinks that wars are conducted with just brute force." Kal said.
"Yes, Brother Kal, you've instead used a soft approach utilizing your fairy forces to sneakily place bombs and illusion arrays on the ships. Very clever." Master Rel said.
"Don't forget my ship in orbit laying down suppressive fire while my puppets are sniping the ships. Now that the ships are down, it's time to clean up rest of this mess." Kal said with a mocking smile.
Lorne was listening to the exchange. He looked up towards the skies as he watched the ships explode. Things had changed. He held on and a miracle happened. Lorne struggled to his feet and walked towards Kal.
Although others couldn't see it, Lorne was quickly healing. He would be good as new in a few minutes. Dragon vitality was strong, perhaps not as strong as the vitality of Dinosaur men, but still, it was pretty strong. The swelling around Lorne's eyes had already gone down and he could now see out of both eyes.
"Thank you, sir, for your help," Lorne said with a bow.
"Don't worry about it little dragon. I'm going to finish up matters here and then we'll talk." Kal said.
"Yes, sir," Lorne responded.
"Don't think I'm just a little matter for you to clean up. I may not be able to beat you now but I can escape and when I return I'll bring back an army a thousand times bigger. Where will you run to then!" Shouted Master Gur.
Kal laughed and while Master Gur was about to make his last move and flee, he suddenly felt a shock to his neck. Without realizing what happened, Master Gur passed out.
Standing behind him was Kal with his hand up as if he had just used a knife hand on Master Gur's neck. But...everyone looked and Kal was still laughing over here. Lorne kept looking back and forth until the laughing Kal finally disappeared.
"Fast," Lorne thought.
After Kal's image disappeared the remaining three people quickly moved to capture the remaining three Divine Killers. All three were captured.
The remaining forces of the Divine Kill Sect surrendered and dropped their weapons. After an existence of endless years; the Divine Kill Sect finally had its day of reckoning. It was now just a memory. The Divine Kill Sect was no more.
Those who gave their lives in defense of their homes were gathered and buried with honor. The entirety of the following week was spent remembering those who had fallen for their home. Lorne visited the home of his friend Tiao and made sure that his wife and children had what they needed.
Lorne even told stories about when he and Tiao were growing up together. He told them about when he taught Tiao soccer and how excited he was for a game that seemed to be made just for Rabbit Men!
Lorne went to the homes of all of his friends who died or were injured. He mourned with their families, cried with them, and laughed with them.
Kal convinced BS42 to give him a machine design that could regrow limbs and heal injuries. BS42 gave him the most basic machine design he could. For Lorne's purpose, this was enough. The Dragon Princess had her men create several of the machines and deployed them.
She treated everyone who was injured in the battle. Those who had minor injuries even got to use the machine. That was after those with critical conditions and those who had lost limbs were treated, of course.
The princess marveled at the machine that Lorne was able to produce. He told her it was a design a friend of his came up with. She had permission to use it, but if she wanted to use it in the future, here friend required payment. They had decided to work out the details later. Such devices would be extremely important to the Dragon Empire.
After the battle, Kal reported back to General Long who was with the Dragon Emperor. The Dragon Princess was with Kal when he reported so the two made their reports together. Kal had saved the Dragon twins and discovered a new universe.
Kal informed the Dragon Emperor that he shouldn't make any plans on the universe as a representative would soon pay him a visit. The Emperor wanted more details, but Kal admitted he wasn't told more than that.
The twins surge in power and age surprised everyone, but it was clear that they had only benefited from their time in the new Universe. Kal mentioned that he and the dragon twins had taken on a master from the new universe. It was because of him that they had their current attainments.
Even more shocking was that this old master was an ancient ancestor of the Wu Di Clan. Kal also mentioned that the old master invited Ying Xiong, Lorne, to become his student.
"My Lord Emperor, we made a discovery recently that you might find interesting," Kal said.
"Oh, what's that?" The Dragon Emperor said.
"The original reason that we came to this world is that the dragon twins had learned from their parents that when they were young they had adventured here together. They wanted to see this planet and it just so happened that we encountered the battle that was initiated by the Divine Kill Sect." Kal said.
"Really, their parents met there?" The Emperor said.
"Yes, but that's not the most interesting thing. When we went to the home of the silver horn dragon named Ying Xiong over the course of the discussion we learned that little Xiong is the cousin of the two gold dragons!" Kal said.
"What? How did that happen?" The Emperor asked out of surprise.
"As Xiong's father explained things, the dragon twins mother is his sister. When she came adventuring here it wasn't appropriate for her to just go with some male, so Xiong's father came with them. The twins' parents fell in love and left the planet but Xiong's father stayed. He liked the planet. Eventually, he met Xiong's mother. What a small universe!" Kal said.
"Curious." The Emperor said.
"Right now Xiong is preparing to leave with me to leave for training at Master River's world. In fact, the entire Wu Di Clan are migrating there. Master River prepared the world for the Wu Di Clan." Kal said.
"The good news father is that the Wu Di Clan have offered to send us a rotating contingent of warriors to help with some of the coming dangers. They promised that they would slowly start to send more until the present crisis is passed." The Princess said.
"Excellent work little one." The Emperor said with a smile.
"Father, I would like to join Xiong to train with Master River. Xiong is taking, Big Bear, his bear brother. Mr. N'Dar says the old master probably won't mind me going along. However, I plan to join them after I've fully settled matters here." The princess said as she winked at her father.
Princess Dragon had contacted her father immediately following the battle to tell him that the gold dragon boy she met previously; he turned out to be a Five-Clawed Gold Hor Dragon. The Emperor was shocked but the princess couldn't go into more detail. She promised to send more information.
The shared screen time with Kal N'Dar prevented her from coming out and bluntly stating her intentions. However, the Emperor realized, from her wink, that his daughter planned to search for the gold dragon boy called Wudi Long. If she couldn't find him in a reasonable amount of time; she would head to the Wu Di Clan's world and train with the mysterious master.
"You've done well. Kal, I'm sending you an encrypted document. Would you pass this on to Master River and see if he's able to help?" The Dragon Emperor asked.
"Of course your majesty," Kal said with a smile.
"Kal, it's a matter of life and death for all the sentient beings in my Empire. We are facing extinction. It's a very serious matter." The Dragon Emperor said solemnly.
"I understand sire," Kal said.
