CHAPTER TWENTY FIVE - THE HOSPITAL WARD

The monitor's frenetic beeping startled Robert, Eden's father, who feared that his daughter might suffer a sudden heart attack. When Eden is on the verge of going into cardiac arrest, Robert gives the device a blank look. He did pull on the defibrillator device to prevent Eden from having another attack when he heard and saw the machine acting frantically in front of his own two eyes, even though the monitor's indication is still the same. He was shocked to see that his daughter was still lying there, peacefully and unaltered. even though the monitor was acting erratically and showing that her heartbeat had changed from dropping to rising in less than a second.
